Four other delivery companies found the building in Naples Italy with the address provided, DHL were baffled, or could not be bothered. Thereafter they were given a screen shot of google maps with the building circled and DHL expressed thanks and announced it would go the next day. It did not. Rather the next day they said “tomorrow”. But in the morrow they announced “we have filled the vans and so tomorrow”. When that new tomorrow came nothing happened and a telephone call was met with the recorded message that they were on holiday. One would not expect a significant, if any, drop in customer service as DHL moved from US control to German control. I suppose the problem lies entirely with the Italian employees who are damaging the global reputation with nary a care in the world. Mind blowingly awful

Huge delay on the shipments! No update since it was picked up a week ago and when we called The customer service in Italy , service was very bad and also no one could locate where is the parcel.
They told us potentially the parcel might be lost and still waiting for update!

This people are a joke
This people are a joke! So i sent from London to Milan a parcel, and i wrote my email in the receivers email, so i can pay the taxes and the parcel would be a surprise. They kept the parcel for more than a week, saying that the receiver should pay the taxes, not me ( the sender). After a week the receiver called and asked to pay the fees, and they sent the link with the payment details to me ( the sender) !!!!!!!!! Because they didn’t had another email. Hahahahahhahahhhahahaha absolute joke! Such low brains!!! It is unbelievable i swear!
Bad service
They harass you with smss and emails, phone calls "what's in the package, email codice fiscale" was asked to pay customs fee online and then again when the parcel was delivered. Delivery man didn't have change, didn't leave a receipt, customer service says there's no proof of payment upon delivery.

What a joke of a company they are! They sent me a message that the address is wrong, because the name of an ITALIAN city on the package was Milano, not Milan, as I found out it should be according to them.
That was enough to reschedule the delivery. And the customer service nonexistent. AVOID at all costs!

Bad customer service
I've just moved to Italy so I don't know if this is normal - but it definitely shouldn't be. I was requested to send a copy of my ID via email to DHL, via unprotected email connection. There's no way I'm doing that. The delivery was supposed to be all duties paid, but they still demanded money for it. Duties and some kind of handling fee of cosmetics products or something. The instructions on the email are very unclear and I don't really know what they exactly want from me.
I contacted the shop and they are now investigating why this happened since there's supposed to be no extra fees. I've never experienced such a terrible service in any of my online orders. Also the html emails look like a a scam rather than a legit professional email - nothing like the DHL email normally.

The Dhl express in Italy is not good. Those people working there is not good, if you buy something of 20euro they will give you taxes of 50euro and you will also pay for delivery again . I dont know if italian government is aware of this. This is a worst company and scenario I have seen in my life. Very corrupt company
Don't use DHL in Florence
Sadly, all the bad reviews are true. I gave DHL the correct address and phone number and was sitting at home, they never tried to ring the bell (I know it works, I had a pizza delivered while waiting and the pizza delivery person had no difficulty finding me). They just updated the status saying nobody was at home. They're uncontactable online, and their phone number can only be dialled from an Italian phone and calls cost 1 euro per minute. I had to go to the depot to collect my parcel myself, this is near Florence airport, far away from the city centre. I paid almost 60 euros in total for the taxi fare (this included waiting time - there were lots of people in line for the same reason as me). DHL staff didn't speak a word of English. Don't waste your money, use another courier service if you can.

Iam from abroad and came to Italy for vacation.
I forgot my removable braces at home and managed someone to send it to me by DHL. They gave me a lead time of 7 days to be delivered. It arrived in Italy in about 5 or 6 days and go stuck till now. It completed 15 days so far, when in contact with the customer service now they say I have to pay more 50 euros to get it delivered. W T F?!? It is an used braces, it has no commercial value why the hell are you taxing me?!? Totally non sense!!!!
Next time will make sure to use UPS or FedEx which has never gave me any trouble!

If you send any parcel to Italy with DHL you have to know that this is not going to go well...if you have anything like dried food, OTC creams, OTC anything it will be blocked by the customs people and you need to pay more money to get you parcel. Actually anything can be blocked it seems if coming from outside EU. First they tell you its coming then its suddenly blocked. SO dont waste your money....

They do not deliver to your address
They do not deliver to your address. They pretent to have rung the bell. They haven't. I was there at the stated time (cheaters!). Bottom line. You need to pick up your stuff Their contact number on the paper was wrong (no money to print new ones?!). Next time, I will ask sellers not to deliver via DHL.

Don't plan on using DHL to Italy
Don't plan on using DHL to Italy. Chances are that your package for which you will have paid for an express 24/48 hours delivery will take 1-2 weeks to be cleared.
Excuses are linked to the current health situation but have always been about a slow, uncaring and inefficient bureaucratic system. If you need to ship something urgent. forget it. Chances are not good.
DHL in Italy is atrocious.
Damaged packages are the norm, as is missing the pick ups because no courier ever show up and you have to deliver your package to their office, they often don't even try to deliver the package but they'd just rather send an email saying "We tried to deliver but no one was home" while everyone was in lock down.
Useless customer service that will simply tell you "You can go to a DHL office" wheter they missed to pick up your items, didn't try to deliver or anything else.
Don't expect anything good from this company.
Dhl Express is by far the worst in terms of speed
Dhl Express is by far the worst delivery service in Italy.
They hold packages back with nonsense arguments, just because they are to lazy/greedy to bring them out in a serious cycle.
Thats by far not even close "express". Gls, Brt and even SDA are able to deliver packages faster and dont keep the package on each stop a full day.
Packages from GLS i recieve easily in 15-48 hours, this package wont arrive in a full week.
