Choisya Candle (190 grams). Zero strength of fragrance when lit, even after 3 hours in a small room. Considering the recent price hike I expected the quality of the product to at least be maintained... See more

If I could give minus staring would attending the Spitalfields branch to purchase some luxury gifts for friends. I was left feeling less important than other shoppers. The staff totally ignored me and targeted the older clientele. I put this down to the cycling wear I had on. Big mistake pengaligons gained my custom, and I purchase 3 x100ml bottles.
Staff were extremely dismissive and made me feel I was a ghost!

I ordered 2 candles for £115 and both were faulty! One candle had a sinkhole in it which is an absolute no-go when candle making and the other has wax stains all over the glass. I complaint to customer service and all I received back was a lesson in 7th grade thermodynamics:
"Our candles are handmade artisan products. Changes in temperature can cause the wax to shrink in the cold and expand with heat, which can cause it to separate from the glass, leave some wax stains (as on the Café candle) and create the optical illusion of bubbles (as the Jasmin one). These wax stains can be removed, with a cloth soaked in warm water and soap."
So they're saying that my 8-year-old niece makes better candles than Diptyque's artisans.
Why the hell would anybody pay £60 for candles when Ikea does a better job at quality control?!
I've never seen candles being sold with wax stains and sinkholes in stores or even in TJ Maxx! Heck, I've never even seen such defective candles at an handmade candles stand at a flea market or Christmas market.
So this is apparently the "high end luxury quality, handmade artisan products" that Diptyque stands for.
If you think you buy a better product with Diptyque just check their ingredients. They use the same cheap and harmful ingredients as other £3 candles do. They are also not cruelty free.
Save your hard earned money and buy cheaper brands from TJ Maxx instead. Or, buy from your small business/ local shop which also sells "handmade artisan product" with better ingredients, are cruelty free and WITHOUT DEFECTS. Or even better, buy handmade artisan candles from my 8-year-old niece's candle stand.

The worst online shopping experience. I’ve been a customer for over 10 years, seldom shop from their website. I’ve chosen door to door delivery, but the delivery company decided to drop off the parcel 11 mins away in a dodgy part of town that I’ve never stepped foot in. So it’s a 25 mins journey back and forth. These are heavy products and you expect your customers to carry them that far? My building has an intercom and a driveway, I was home all day specifically to receive the parcel. This is the first time this has ever happened, it’s not even in the same postcode, I’m sorry are you paying me to deliver the parcel? When I tried to reach out to their shipping partner, Chronopost, there’s not even an option to contact anyone, the chatbot was in French and they didn’t even bother to send an email to confirmed the delivery date, just a your parcel has been drop off in a different neighbourhood text… please do not order from their website… the client experience was astonishingly bad.
UPDATE:
Diptyque actually responded quite adequately and promptly BUT they told me “I can now confirm that our transport team has requested another delivery attempt for your order” oh I wish I have your level of confidence Diptyque because clearly your shipping partner has ignored you too! Almost a week later, I’m still staring at the wall with no candles. At this point you’re not just burning money, you’re also burning your time🙃

I had a great experience with their customer service representative Simon in the UK.
He was very knowledgeable, he placed an order for me and sent me the link to make payment, everything went smoothly.
Sadly, the signature gift box I wanted for the item I purchased was not big enough and they didn’t tell me right away, I had to email Simon to figure out what was wrong, but he was very kind and he sent me a gesture gift to apologise for the inconvenience.
Very much appreciated!
Lovely service, will definitely use their website again!

In the midst of a rainy day, I stumbled upon a brand unknown to me until Laura, the sales assistant, graciously invited me in. With her attentive guidance, she led me around the store and sprayed the most delightful perfume, instantly brightening my day. Taking the time to share insights about the brand, Laura's exceptional customer service left me feeling truly valued and uplifted. I am eagerly looking forward to returning to purchase the perfume she recommended.

The candles are amazing with a strong scent and a long lasting smell. However, the candles left root stains all over my house which I am not able to remove...

I am a big fan of the brand, but have always brought items from Diptyque concessions in Department Stores as I heard that the Online Boutique customer service a bit hit and miss. After placing a recent order online which I was very pleased with, I decided to reach out to customer service online to see if I can arrange to replace a missing part of an Diptyque hourglass diffuser which I sadly lost in a house move. My enquiry was handled by Muboti, who dealt with it professionally and efficiently to organise a replacement for me. I am over the moon. To me, it is worth paying extra for luxury items to get excellent after care.

5* service from the customer service team, Muboti has been an absolute star. My order was held up in customs for a few days and the customer service team have been very quick to reply to my emails.

Update:
Nicole and Nikki both were able to assist me in resolving a concern I had with my order. I am now simply waiting. It seems they have been busy with winter Holidays. Thank you Diptyque!

Love Diptyque but they’ve stopped making their feu de bois room spray. Why???? Big mistake - doubt I will buy from them again.

Products as always are second to none in design, quality, packaging and scent.
I’ve had trouble with DPD lately and Krishna was incredibly helpful and quick to respond. She even sent me a large box of samples as a gesture for my issues.
Quality has a price, and Diptyque 100% justify their price tag in every facet.

Horrible.
Scents, after 2 hours, turn stinky, like you wallowed in rotting brusel sprouts.
Return? Not what they represent. I brought back perfume gift in original, unopened package, in perfect condition.
No credit. Only exchange for more expensive goods.
Ridiculous.
Nikki in main US office emailed me that a manager would get back to me.
Didn't happen
Bad Nikki - she should be fired.
Bad perfume.
Bad candles,
Bad employees
Very fast delivery and beautifully presented.
Chose 5 eaux de toilette
First Oyédo. Citrus
Dyptique description. Yuzu green mandarin thyme raspberry
First sniff it’s def. Yuzu and then it is softer and you get a mixture of last three. Settles to a soft gentle floral citrus
Very very pretty. One that I would buy again.
Only trying one perfume a day.

I am absolutely satisfied with the customer care. They respond quickly and are very helpful and very kind. In my opinion thats how a customer care should be. Thank you (especially to Simon).
(The delivery with DPD was not that good, but this is not their fault :-))

My order was shipped to the wrong address and I cannot reach anyone to have this fixed. Customer service literally does not exist at this company. No one answers the phone, their live chat does not work, and no one returns emails. I am writing this review here to see if someone from Diptyque customer service responds to me because they won’t do it through the channels listed on their website, but seem to respond to all their horrible reviews. That tells you what kind of company they are. I am also writing to let people know not to spend their hard earned $ at Diptyque. Ridiculous and absolutely atrocious customer service from their online US store.

I have not received my birthday email saying that I can have a free mini candle. I have sent 2 emails and made 1 telephone call still no success. Am just told that they are automatically emailed but I have checked my spam folder. Then I was told to just go into a store and claim one - very poor Diptyque I have spent a lot of money with them. I have now had a nice email from Jessie much more helpful than Simon and she is going to arrange for a mini candle to be sent out to me.

This afternoon I visited Diptyque on Marylebone High Road and was greeted by a pleasant gentleman from security and two friendly staff members.
Rachel was extremely welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable about the products instore. She introduced to a luxurious selection of shower gels paired with lotions and perfumes. She went above and beyond in introducing me to what I was looking for and even offered to have my purchase gift wrapped (along with some samples).
I look forward to shopping with the wonderful team again!

I’ve been a loyal customer to diptyque and make purchases almost every 1/2 months online and in store. This year I didn’t receive any birthday offer, which they’ll give you a free candle when you make any purchases. So I emailed the customer service team and the guy I’ve spoken with is named Simon. It’s not very helpful at all to speak with him. Instead of apologizing for the inconvenience caused, he kept asking if it’s because my own fault (change account/ email being archived to spam). He didn’t explain why I was missed out by their system and instead he just pushed me to make an online order and he said he can add the free candle to the online order. I explained to him that I was given the option to utilize the offer in store last year (and attached the email I got last year) and mentioned that I’d prefer to make a purchase in store given the delivery often take ages. He refused to make this possible for me and just wanted to close off the case by saying it’s my problem that I couldn’t receive the offer email.
