Order didn't appear, customer service very slow - refund eventually processed

Placed order #2932 last week and told it would arrive "no later than Friday 9th" - it didn't arrive.

I've emailed and had no response. The website tracking states that the order is fulfilled. Called twice today (12th December), my details were taken both times and passed on to the person that can help. They didn't call me back.

UPDATE: I got an email the evening of this review being left to apologise and offer £20 Amazon voucher in return for removal of the trust pilot review. I was also promised that the delay was due to supplier courier issues and that I would "definitely" get my order "next week" (19th - 23rd December) - I was told I'd also be kept in the loop.

I was happy with this explanation and declined the voucher but agreed to remove my review as to be honest, delays are expected this time of year but poor communication and empty promises aren't.

Fast forward to today and I've still not taken delivery of my order. I've had zero contact and my emails have gone ignored.

If my order arrives today, I'll remove this review but I don't see it happening.

UPDATE 2: Order didn’t arrive on 23rd - I had this email “lifestyle have had a delay with the heaters unfortunately they arrived in the UK on the 20th December but because of the issues with couriers etc they have advised they can't get this out until the 3rd January”

5th Jan now, It hasn’t arrived yet.

14th Jan - still not got it and zero contact from anyone. Requested a refund via email…

17th Jan - called and requested refund yesterday, Was told I’d get a call back - no call back. No refund.

18th Jan - Refund received following Trustpilot update.

If you need a refund, don't call or email - no one gets back and the calls are outsourced

Bought the Lancaster 4 piece set in…

Bought the Lancaster 4 piece set in ivory, good quality and great price. Only thing i would say is once I purchased my items there wasn’t much contact or tracking to see what my order was doing until a couple days before delivery and it was a short while i think there could be better communication after purchase however delivery was smooth + driver called when he was an hour away which is always good

Just another update on my nonexistent…

Just another update on my nonexistent Tv console stand, I brought on 23rd Nov! Still hasn’t arrived. I understood that the company was having problems with the sellers and I did kindly receive a courtesy Amazon voucher but all I want is my to stand, as I have people interested in buying mine. I Had two men contact me telling me I will receive a confirmation email of delivery and still nothing. Also one man telling me I will receive it by Thursday. Still nothing. Absolutely disgusting service. Please don’t bother with this company. More trouble than they’re worth!

No delivery dates

I did have a few issues after placing my order, no delivery dates etc, I spoke with their live chat, and the agents did what they could, but I didn't feel like I was being properly supported from a customer care team. I decided to contact customer care via email, Ryan, took ownership of my complaint and resolved everything within a day, my order was delivered this morning so a happy ending.
Ryan, perhaps you should give your team training on how to deliver customer service, I feel this could have been resolved a lot sooner if the team had knowledge. A complaining customer never goes away, things just escalate.

I am not sure this is a legitimate…

I am not sure this is a legitimate company so beware! I ordered 2 lamp tables to the value of £110 and have not received them. They don’t answer the phone or respond to emails and this is now put in to dispute with my credit card company for them to pursue. I would spend more money and buy from a proper retailer. You live and learn with these scammer companies!

Fireplace console.
Excellent quality product purchased at good discounted sale price.
I dropped one star due to the fact that I had to enquire via email about when my order would be despatched. Ryan responded within a few hours and, as promised, my order was delivered 3 days later, extremely well packaged. Very pleased with my purchase and wouldn't hesitate to use Direct GB again.

Very good quality.

I would give 4.5 stars .
Positives: product as described, better what I imagined, and the best price .
Arrived fast .
Customer service very helpful (call in morning)
Very satisfied with product Negatives: because of the delivery I wish I could have a message or email about delivery date. Thank goodness I was at home at that time .
After previously receiving damaged products from other companies, the delivery guy didn’t wait at the door for me to check .
I had furniture (coffe+side table)
Otherwise: recommend it :)

Outstanding Service

The website is easy to navigate and understand. After some manufacturing issues were brought to the attention of DirectGB’s Customer Services the MD called me (on a Saturday) assuring me he would address my concerns directly with the manufacturer, Shire, and would report their finding back to me next week
It is impossible to fault this approach and I appreciate the effort made by the MD. Exemplary!

Helpful and friendly team

We ordered a garden chair, it was delayed due to a supplier problem which happens, however, company found a solution which is the main thing. Communication was slow to start but once the communication was going, I couldn’t fault the service, even late night responses. They did really try and get everything sorted as quickly as they could. Delivery driver was lovely and the team who we spoke with was also helpful.

Daewoo Patio Heater

Bought a patio heater after a local shop had let us down. This was cheaper and of a higher quality. Customer service was second to none also! - genuinely not had customer service like it, which makes a change!

Thanks Ryan, we'll keep an eye out for some of your other products.

My nightmare started back in June 2021…

My nightmare started back in June 2021 when I ordered a summerhouse from them, I was given two delivery dates one in November and the other in December, nothing was delivered on either of these days. I left it for a while as it was christmas time, only for them to reply that as they hadn't heard from me they assumed it had been delivered.
The summerhouse I had ordered was now under the fast delivery section of there website, ironic.
They then went down the line that the suppliers had a proof of delivery which they could never produce just another stalling tactic.
They promise to get back to you but never do only reply when you contact them.
Money has been refunded.
Be wary of this business without an address on its website.
