They are a waste of time - Buy cheap buy twice
I placed an order on 2nd December hoping for delivery in 2-3 days. I was contacted 10 days later to say 6 of the 15 items I ordered were out of stock because of a nationwide shortage. Which I found out was nonsense because I was able to purchase the same items from a different supplier for next day delivery with no bother.
I was then told the remaining items would be delivered on Tuesday 15th December. When I emailed to find out an ETA I was told the order was not going to make it but will be delivered on Wednesday 16th December and it would be the first drop. I asked what time the first drop would be and I was told between 9:30 and 10am. (In the building trade first drop is at least by 8am). I emailed back to say I have let our site foreman know to be ready to accept delivery and check the goods because I no longer trusted direct plastics. To which I got the response that actually the remaining 9 items I had on order was not in stock at all. So I then made a phone call and apparently spoke to to a team leader who said sorry but that does not cut it at this moment.
All I said if they let me know a couple of weeks back that they could no longer help me then I would have found my order elsewhere.
I am honestly waiting for the cameras to show up because it you can not mess up an order this badly by accident it must be on purpose.
Everyone is using the excuse of the pandemic, it is easy to communicate, you can tell customers the lead times and limitations you are facing at the time of order or a couple of days later. Not THREE WEEKS later. That is just unacceptable service.
I tried to communicate this to the team leader that I spoke to to the phone just now and I was just told they deliver when they have the goods. No sense or urgency, no sense of caring that their company has let me down. Absolutely terrible customer service. Ad it is for this reason that I would NEVER deal with this company again and warning others not to waste their time.

I was not placing a big complicated order so was looking for good price. Direct Plastics came out on top. So placed my order. I had reason to contact their customer service a couple of times and I could not fault them. Swift and informative replies. Advised when stock had been despatched and it arrived next day.
I did not read the reviews until after I had placed my order and I was a bit concerned but as it turned out I had no reason to be.
I would have no hesitation to use them again.

Debated whether to order after reading reviews then thought these were probably only a few compared with how many customers were ordering - as we know happy ones tend not to leave feedback! We are really pleased with the service we have received on 2 recent occasions. First delivery arriving on time and with a message sent before hand confirming delivery period. Second order placed Sunday and arrived on Monday a couple of days early! Easy to order and delivery guy friendly and efficient :)

I have ordered some product from DIRECT PLASTIC to be delivered on next day. The website is allowed me to select the option, paid £17.50.
Waited on Thursday: NOT DELEVERED.
Next Day: I contacted customer service; an advisor (MAT)told me one product is out of stock. this is the reason they didn't deliver (LIER) and told me will be delivered 5th of OCTOBER.
Results: NOT DELEVERED
I contacted again on the same day an advisor told me “there is a technical glitch on the website. LIER
She transferred to Next COWBOY (MANAGER)

Wish I had read all the reviews before ordering from this company as I’m having the same issues as many other people. I am awaiting items which I requested be delivered a week ago. Initially got an email saying order had been received and despatched but when it didn’t arrive on the day requested I was told items were out of stock. Happy to take my money and send me an invoice though. One parcel received day before yesterday (literally dumped on the doorstep without anyone letting us know it had been left) but the other part of the order is supposedly being sent via Tuffnels. Wasted a day’s work last Friday and now spending valuable time on the phone to Tuffnels but no-one is answering the phone at the Exeter depot so I’m no further forward to knowing when, or if, this order will be fulfilled. Absolutely atrocious customer service by both seller and courier so buyer beware. Next step will be trying to get my money back if Tuffnels don’t deliver/answer the phone!

Excellent service. All items were in stock, but the order got held up in the system. Made a phone call and spoke to Toni. She was really helpful in pushing the order through the system. All goods were delivered by Tuffnells early next day. Excellent customer service and superfast despatch. Thanks Toni!!
Cancelled Order after being taken for a mug
Order placed, arranged delivery date. No update on order progress, no confirmation of delivery.... guess what delivery date missed. Called up, phone rings and ring.... finally spoke with someone who appologised and promised a call back with an update, no such call. Multiple more phone calls and long ring times for answers... same excuses. Last update, after a week of contacts, products now in the yard which should leave today with tracking.... guess what, no such tracking or delivery update. Called in after another day for update... goods still not been marked for delivery or out, asked for immediate cancellation. I feel like I've been completely ripped off... fobbed off, all the excuses under the sun. Just hope I get my money back sharpish otherwise I'll be taking a ride up to Blackburn directly for my CASH!!!

I had need of three 5 metre lengths of quandrant quickly and decided to use this business, with two orders. Orders accepted and processed quickly but then massive problems with delivery. They use Tuffnells for these long lengths as other couriers will not handle such long items. This is where the problems came about; Tuffnells operate a track and trace facility and despite not delivering the items, the status each evening was updated to 'delivered' when that was not the case.
Matt in web sales at GAP was great and chased the two deliveries, which Tuffnells insisted had been delivered. He arranged for another, replacement order to be sent out with sadly exactly the same outcome.
The end result is that I have had my order refunded and now have to source the items elsewhere almost two weeks down the line.
As mentioned, Matt was great and all credit to him. The issue is Tuffnells clearly not able or willing to do what they are in business for. A separate review will go on their site and three stars given here as thanks to Matt for all he did to help.
Don't expect to get what you order!
They took my order and then my money. But no confirmation email five days later. First call and they had lost my order. Then they found it!! They then sent the wrong size fascia, and too much silicone. Tuffnells delivered the order over 3 days apart. I queried the order and was sent an invoice which itemised the bits sent with made up prices to arrive at the same amount paid. I have written countless emails with no reply. Five days after the original delivery, and after the scaffold had come down my real order turned up with the correct fascia and silicone. The company is a joke.
Failed to deliver twice!!!! Update: Three times!
Wasted a day of annual leave as they didn’t deliver on the agreed day. Was assured it would be delivered next day and nothing!!!! Never again!!!
So the update, Called them today (Monday morning) for some kind of update. Was assured someone would call me back, of course they didn't. I had to call again in an hour. Again spoke to some one completely different, had to explain it all again. Was promised it would be delivered by 4.30 this afternoon, "its on the lorry for delivery". Guess what, nothing, more lies, no delivery. Will be calling for a refund on my order first thing tomorrow, I have had enough, no excuse for such poor service. WHY DIDN'T I CHECK TRUST PILOT LIKE I USUALLY DO!!!

Part of my order was missing. They do not have an email address to reply to, re missing parts. Their complaint form online, is impossible to complete.

But prices are way too high compared to others. I’d advise anyone to shop around. I cancelled my order because I save £170!!! Going to another company
Won't respond to emails
Won't respond to emails. I have ordered, fortunately, only £20.00 which they took from my bank immediately. Gave me a delivery date but no goods. No order confirmation email. I haven't heard from them since. The delivery date has come and gone. AVOID AVOID AVOID.
Arrived!
Everything turned up out of the blue. Helpful driver in a dedicated GAP lorry, from Southampton, not Blackburn.
And relax.

Ordered back in April, so okay, Covid.
Their website says they are fully functional once more, but still no delivery, no response to emails, phone calls go to voicemail, which is left unanswered. I have no option but to follow the legal route, suggest others do the same.
