The website is all lies do not trust…

The website is all lies do not trust them, 1. The code to unlock doesn't work, 2. I had to pay 3 different fees, 3. They don't give refunds, they said they did but it was never received, 4. It's a huge scam, you can tell because the customer service is non existent, 5. The payment methods were sketchy and seem like a scam, like WHO accepts Bitcoin, SCAMS!

Hi — I’m Charlotte, sorry you’ve had such a frustrating experience. I want to help, but I need your IMEI and order reference to look up your case. In the absence of those, we can’t address your specific concerns — please use the Live Support link on your tracking page so we can resolve this quickly.

Quick point-by-point summary from our policies while you get that info:

1) Code didn’t work — if you’ve “worked with our technician to get the code to work, and we cannot get the code to work, you'll be refunded.” Please provide IMEI/order and any notes from that support session.
2) Multiple fees — some charges can be for Eligibility Checks, Standard vs Premium services and Remote USB unlocks; per terms “It is not possible to cancel your order once it is paid for” and some checks are non‑refundable.
3) Refunds — we do have a “100% Money Back Guarantee,” but it has exceptions (blacklisted phones, wrong IMEI, eligibility checks, etc.). For example: “Guarantee does not apply where handset appears to be BLACKLISTED” and “No refund if the provided IMEI is incorrect.”
4) Customer service — I’m sorry you felt unsupported. Using Live Support from your tracking page gets this escalated straight to the team who can act on your order.
5) Payment methods — as stated, “Your purchase will appear on your card statements as Direct Unlocks… we also accept Bitcoin” and “We do not store customer payment card details, these are passed directly to our payment provider(s).”

Please send your IMEI and order number here or use Live Support on your tracking page so I can get this looked at for you right away.

I'm only giving one star because I…

I'm only giving one star because I can't give you zero stars because this company is a complete fraud. They are scammers all the way around because of age present themselves with one amount and then after you pay that they throw in another higher amount but they don't mention that amount before the first payment and they don't mention it until the second payment and then they won't give you your refund for the first payment when you decide that if you would have had all the information you wouldn't of paid any of it to begin with!

Hi — Charlotte here. I’m sorry you’re upset and I appreciate the feedback.

I can see your order from Apr 18, 2026 (Eligibility Check $24.99) has been refunded to your card. Our policy normally says “Eligibility Check: These checks are non-refundable,” and that any extra charge will be shown at checkout: “there may be an additional price to pay for the sim unlock itself, this will be stated on your order summary page prior to purchase.”

For your Moto G Power (T‑Mobile USA): “An Android device is only able to be unlocked via a code if the device asks for an unlock code when an incompatible sim card is placed in the device.” If your phone does NOT prompt for a code, you will need to purchase a Remote USB unlock.

If you’d like, I can help you test with an incompatible SIM or guide you through ordering the Remote USB unlock so we can finish this. Which would you prefer?

Hi — I’m Charlotte. I’m really sorry you feel this way.

To investigate I’ll need your IMEI — without that we can’t find your order or address your specific concerns. Please use the Live Support link on your tracking page so we can resolve this quickly.

For transparency, our Refund Policy only covers specific situations (for example: "Incorrect Unlocking Code" or "Criteria Mismatch"), and our Terms state "It is not possible to cancel your order once it is paid for." Once you contact Live Support with your IMEI we’ll look into this right away.

Scam

Scam. I paid for an unlock 2 months ago. Within a week my “progress” was at 99%. It stayed at 99% for another week before I messaged the company. They said they would “prioritize” my order. They strung me along for several weeks, then just stopped responding. I am out almost $100.

Hi — I’m Charlotte. I’m really sorry you’ve been left hanging — that’s not the experience we want.

Your order (placed Feb 14, 2026) currently shows: "Doesn't meet standard network unlocking criteria. Premium service is required at a price of $174.00." Because your iPhone requires the Premium Service, our terms state that "Eligibility Check: These checks are non-refundable" and "If your phone requires an upgrade (e.g., from Standard to Premium Service), any initial payments are non-refundable."

If you want us to finish the unlock, please initiate the $174 Premium payment via your Tracking page and I’ll escalate the job to our technicians to be prioritized as soon as payment is received. If you don’t want to pay, reply and I’ll review the order and escalate to see what options (e.g., a credit note if applicable) we can offer. You can also view customer feedback here: https://directunlocks.com/unlock-iphone-15-us#review_section

Again, I’m sorry for the delay — tell me what you’d like to do and I’ll get it moving.

Hi — sorry to hear your phone’s still locked. To investigate we need your IMEI and order reference — without those we can’t find your order. Please use the Live Support link on your tracking page so we can help.

Quick checks: as our Terms say, "8.1 Completion of the unlock process... iPhones: connecting the phone to WiFi and turning the phone off and then on; Non-iPhones: entering the unlocking codes provided..." Also note: "An Android device is only able to be unlocked via a code if the device asks for an unlock code when an incompatible sim card is placed in the device." (T&Cs 7.4)

Send your IMEI and order ID via Live Support and we’ll sort this out ASAP. — Charlotte

I paid for an unlocking service from my Samsung S22 Ultra

I paid for an unlocking service from DirectUnlocks, but the service was not delivered as promised.

I was charged three times (USD 6.99, USD 24.99, and USD 68.00). The codes they provided did not work, and my phone remains locked despite following all their instructions.

I contacted their support multiple times and requested a refund, but I did not receive any effective response. After that, they stopped replying.

I have full evidence of the payments, emails, and chat conversations showing that the service failed and no solution was provided.

This experience has been very frustrating. I do not recommend this service. I am now escalating the case with my bank and consumer protection authorities.

I request a full refund.

This service is easy to use

This service is easy to use, however, I did not read the fine print after purchasing the initial eligibility check that I would be required to make another payment to complete the unlock process. Read the fine print! Also I unlocked a galaxy watch 8 and my confirmation said it's an apple watch but the IMEI matches my galaxy watch 8. Not sure if that is just a basic automatic template that says apple watch.

Hi — thanks for the feedback and I’m sorry the extra payment was a surprise.

A couple of quick clarifications: our Terms state "It is not possible to cancel your order once it is paid for. Pre-orders, eligibility check, and unlocking costs are incurred immediately upon placing your order." and "Pre-orders also referred to as 'Eligibility Checks' are not covered by our money back guarantee." Our Refund Policy also says "Eligibility Check: These checks are non-refundable." That’s why the $24.99 eligibility check and the $54 standard unlock are separate charges.

About the Apple Watch wording — that’s likely an automatic template. If the IMEI matches your Galaxy Watch8 and your order status shows "Unlock Complete", the unlock has been done. As our T&Cs explain, "Completion of the unlock process is made by email notification... simple instructions to complete the unlock procedure depending on what brand phone you have." Please follow the email steps (try a T‑Mobile sim), and if anything still doesn’t work reply here and I’ll get our tech team to double-check your order right away.

Thanks,
Charlotte

Can saying they are lieing I guess…

Can saying they are lieing I guess everything is in their fine print that they don't tell you about. I paid the $25 to check if it could be unlocked, they said it was good to go. So I had to pay another $54 to unlock it. Paid that, when gave me a code I couldn't use they told me it had to be remote unlocked and that is an additional $179.
Way too much money to spend to unlock a phone, you guys are better off trying elsewhere.

Hi — I’m Charlotte, sorry this has been so frustrating.

I can confirm your order (placed Apr 14, 2026) shows the $54 Standard Unlock was refunded to your card (status: Refunded Via Card) and you were issued a credit note. The $24.99 Eligibility Check is not refundable — as our policy says: "Eligibility Check: These checks are non-refundable."

For Android devices we say: "An Android device is only able to be unlocked via a code if the device asks for an unlock code when an incompatible sim card is placed in the device... you will instead have to use a Remote USB unlock at additional cost." We also state: "Android phones which don't ask for a code, will be refunded in the form of a Credit Note, due to submission costs, to be used against a Remote USB unlock, if that service is available."

Because your Pixel 8a didn’t accept the code, our tech advised a Remote USB unlock (the additional cost you were quoted). If you want to proceed I’ll check if the Remote USB service is available for your Pixel 8a, apply your credit note toward it, and confirm the final price — or if you prefer, I can close this for you. Which would you like me to do?

FAKE SERVICE - STAY AWAY!

They advertise in their website a false view of reviews that looks like TrustPilot but it's all fake. They say it's $24 but there's another payment after that. They guarantee money back but they don't really return it and call it "credit" for their website like there's anything to buy from them! and the useless credit they offer is only for the second payment and not $24. They even changed the locking company from Verizon to a wrong one saying it was for free like I should be grateful although it's completely false. This is all fake! I reported them to my bank

Hi — I’m Charlotte. Sorry this has been stressful.

Our records show your Apr 9, 2026 order for a Galaxy A16 5G (StraightTalk USA) — a $59 Standard Unlock — was refunded to your card (order status: "Refunded Via Card"). Please check with your bank for the refund posting; banks sometimes take a few days.

If you still want the phone unlocked, please confirm the IMEI and whether the phone shows an “enter unlock code” prompt when you insert an incompatible SIM. As our Terms state, “An Android device is only able to be unlocked via a code if the device asks for an unlock code when an incompatible sim card is placed in the device… if your handset doesn't ask for an unlock code prior to payment, then we will not be able to unlock the device but still incur submission costs and you will instead have to use a Remote USB unlock at additional cost.” Also, “Remote USB Unlocks are only relevant to Samsung, Motorola, LG and Huawei phones.”

Tell me if you want to proceed with a new attempt (and confirm the IMEI and SIM behavior) and I’ll help you with the next steps.

Cannot give no star

Cannot give no star, this company are complete fraudsters, continuously apologizing and requesting more time and ultimately dropping communication entirely, had to go through bank to get refund. Unlock through network, learnt this too late. Fortunately got money back, but be aware and steer clear!

Seriously???

Seriously, they won't even bother to help me even if I leave a bad review??

If you’re reading this, don’t even think about paying them—it’s a total scam. I’ve been waiting over three weeks for a response from them. I’ve written to their internal support, and I’ve even asked for help on forums, but I haven’t even gotten them to acknowledge me. The only way I can get them to respond is by writing a review, and yet they act as if they care about their users when they don’t. I paid for the basic service, and they blocked my support chat with the excuse that I “misused” it. I’ve even emailed them, and they still haven’t responded to anything. It’s worth noting that I was even willing to pay for their “premium” service, but they blocked me. I demand a response. If anyone reads this, please help—my IMEI is (358876628606502). And if you’re going to help me, don’t ask me to email you because I’ve already done that too many times and you don’t respond. I’m just asking for a response and for your help.
