Absolutely disgusting service and as I can see from your reviews, nobody likes you. I have a booking with Clarkson Street Apartments and they refused to change the booking date as I had to take my 1 year son to A&E at 2 AM. I requested to change it to next month and even though I’ll be paying more, they refused.

Fraud: They do not return the security deposit.

I left an apartment manage by this company in immaculate condition. They thanked me for my stay and agreed the security deposit would be refunded. That was over a month ago. Every time I message them they say they are looking into it. I am down 150 Euro with no recourse.

Watch out

Watch out! Don’t book!
They do not return the deposit promptly and the apartment is nothing like the advertisement. The place is hot, noisy, smells of mold and chlorine, and is furnished with cheap, worn furniture. Host was rude, absent at check-in, unresponsive afterwards, and misrepresented the property. Avoid booking with them.

Security deposit scam

I checked out of our vacation rental in Paris on June 22nd. 43 days later, our credit card has not been refunded. We have contacted Holidays Discovery multiple times and only received excuses about bank processing times. We have contacted Booking.com multiple times with no resolution. Booking.com says they can't refund us because Holidays Discovery tool the deposit via Swikly. Swikly says that Holidays Discovery has not claimed the money as damages but has also not instructed Swikly to release it. Swikly cannot release it without permission to. We have made a claim with our credit card company.

I wish I had seen the reviews before

I wish I had seen the reviews on Trustpilot earlier. I am in the same situation as almost everyone else here, because the company assured me that it would return the deposit within 21 days (does it really take that long to inspect a small apartment?), and I am still waiting. Airbnb allows them to take a deposit (something ‘exceptional’, they say) and they assure me that they have contacted them to demand a refund, but I'm still waiting more than a month after leaving an apartment that has already been occupied by many people after me. I don't understand why they are allowed to continue advertising after scamming so many users.

No deposit of 250 euros back!! After almost two month of fooling around from their "supporters" still nothing. Will cancel the transaction with my bank! How It is even possible such a scammers exist?! AVOID! Don't book with them!

I would not recommend or book again. I hope this gets addressed by websites they advertise on (e.g airbnb)

Hello

This company is new era of scam!! i got robbed my deposit of 250euro
the policy of the company was once you check out 15 days after you get your refund and since then nothing everything i claimed its under process it has been now more than 2 month
So one advice avoid HOLIDAY SERVICE while planning a stay in paris or london

Cette enterprise est un scam—they tried to force me to pay a deposit through a third party app. Visa contacted me about potential fraud and I requested to cancel because I could not complete a payment through their form. They refused to cancel. I had to fight the transaction with my bank

Local, Friendly, Amazing!

An excellent group of locals who truly care - they made booking my holiday so simple and I cannot fault them. I visit family in Torquay and will be coming back to them again soon!

Poor after sales service

Booked a couple of nights via Airbnb which is where Discover Holiday Homes advertise some of their properties. Short stay in Whitstable in November. Property was as advertised but had issues such as TV not working on arrival, heating thermostat not working, drive problematic, ALL reported regularly in the visitors book but not sorted. Response when I phoned them quick but best endeavours to sort which on a short stay is very poor especially as not new problems. Damaged my car on drive and have tried to contact them since but no response. Properties marketed are not at the cheap end and would have expected much better froma small business claiming great customer service.

Classic property; wonderful in every aspect!

Walking into Foy's Cottage and seeing the wealth of the peaceful location coupled with wonderful interior fixtures and furnishings; these all added up to a top notch treat. The property is very comfortable in every manner and really well equipped. It was such a nice traditional cottage in such a wonderful location; super space inside and out! Five stars in every aspect so thank you for permitting us to enjoy such a unique property!

Perfect !

Shaldon Palm Cottage is a perfect little house with absolutely everything you need to have a good stay. We were 6 ( we have four boys between 16 and 3 years old) and everyone was happy, even our little boy who found interesting toys and DVDs (in french !). He had also appreciate the zoo and the ferry crossing in a lovely traditionnal boat.
Shaldon is a very beautiful little town with an incomparable charm. We really enjoyed our holidays !

Lovely view from Bens Place Apartment

Bens Place apartment in Torquay was exactly as described on the website, we booked last minute for the Easter break for an extended Easter break of 4 nights.
Holiday information sent via email prior to arrival was very informative with directions etc
Lots of information available at the property with good bus links to Torquay, Brixham, Paignton and beyond.
Views were spectacular and we paid extra for the use of the hot tub which was wonderful looking out to sea.
The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we required to cook our own meals ( inc Easter Sunday dinner)
We Would definitely recommend the property to others

Lovely cottage with stunning views!

Amazing stunning views! Loved the lounge and seating. We had a brill time at the cottage. Grand views from two of the bedrooms. Lovely walks along the coast and a great trip to Salcombe via the Portlemouth ferry.

It would have been nice for the heating to be on prior to arriving as the house was very cold. Also we noticed that the wood burner fire needs a bit of maintenance (the fire rope around the door has gone and it allows no air control). The fridge in the kitchen acted more like a freezer and froze most of our salad! Also a little prior warning about the relative lack of loo roll, dishwasher tabs and washing up liquid would have been appreciated.

But on the whole our stay was brill!
