Eddie and the team from DJ city…

Eddie and the team from DJ city Artarmon were so helpful for me today in updating my DJ gear. I am so happy with my new speakers and lighting. I couldn’t recommend the store and the team there enough!!!!

I am writing about DJ City in Richmond

I am writing about DJ City in Richmond, Vic. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Orders, returns, faulty equipment are all done properly. I am satisfied. Sometimes I have to remind them about orders and they deal with this promptly. And there are a lot of parking spaces around the shop. You can literally park in front of the shop (1m from the entrance) if you have something heavy to pick up.

I have not received my item order from 1st April 2025

Reference: SO-721467/1

I purchased a cable 1st April 2025 from DJ City. To date I havent received it. It is now 24th April 2025. I contact them via email 11th April. they said they woudl follow up. No response. I contacted them 15th April via email however no follow up. I contact them 22nd April via phone. I requested they look into and call me back asap. No response. I have now left them another message to call me to have this sorted asap.

Tried to order pay for $600 order…

Tried to order pay for $600 order online. Luckily it didn’t go through. Then tried ringing them for over 2 hours, no response. As I'm a newbie to online purchasing I thought maybe I was heading into a scam but that was just me being unaware.
Note: they did return call later and were very helpful. Hopefully delivery goes to plan.
UPDATE- In the end I was very happy with their service and helpfulness, they delivered very fast. happy ending!

Poor Customer Service

Had two orders. Quality stuff, but one order contained the wrong item. Have tried for two weeks to get through via email, phone, and leaving messages for a callback. I've received no response to any of my attempts.

Update: After I wrote this review, DJ City finally responded. Coincidence? Will see how the service goes from here.

2nd update: Finally got back to me and DJCity is happy to exchange the wrong product for the right one. I’ve now sent the wrong one back and am awaiting the replacement.

The worst company I’ve dealt with in a…

The worst company I’ve dealt with in a long time. I bought a product from them and it came faulty and not functional by any means. Upon requesting remedy for this issue DJ City actively ignored my emails, or, if I give them the benefit of the doubt, has the worst customer service system that they did not care to respond to my emails. They responded once asking for my order number and never again afterward.

Do not get fooled by their good reviews on their website, DJ City is terrible. If you buy from them then take the risks that the product will be faulty and you’ll be thrown aside when you ask to help. They steal your money at this point.

Do yourself a favour. Spend the extra dollar and buy from a more reputable business

Agree with what most others have said. No customer service, no basic courtesy, no call backs, no email response, nothing despite multiple attempts to contact them.

Payment confirmation email reads that i should receive another email shortly with order details etc. No such email was received after a week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks and beyond, tried calling and emailing and i got nowhere.

Now 2 mths later, they emailed me that my order has been dispatched. But now i want a refund as i have already purchased alternative products from another retailer.

Problem is, I’m not sure if i can get a refund given nobody picks up the phone or respond to emails, which means i could end up with $2600 worth of unwanted products. Absolute nightmare.

Do yourself a favour. Spend the extra dollar and buy from a more reputable business.

Incredible customer service

Incredible customer service. I purchased an electric guitar for my son for Christmas through Amazon. It had a slight fault with the pick up so I messaged via Amazon. DJ City sent me a new one with no questions asked and didn’t even ask me to return the original product. I’m really impressed with this business and my son is very happy too. Thank you DJ City for such great customer service.

If I could give no star I would they are that bad . DO NOT SHOP HERE

I got a snow machine in the middle of June stored it in my garage in the 2 boxes it came in. In November I took it out and tried to use it only for it to keep tripping out my house and then leaking out all the fluid. It took me 2 weeks to finally get a reply to my email as they never answer their phones. I had to travel over an hour to the shop because it was out of warranty as It had been 5 months since I got it,
Went to the store showed them the videos of what was going on and I was told it had to go back to Melbourne to be fixed.
On checking DJ city Mansfield I saw and spoke with other people who were having so much trouble with this company. A few people have been told oh it has been dropped so it is no longer due to be fixed under warranty.
This is the email I got today
We assessed your RageSnow1800
It has been dropped causing the main PCB mounts to snap off shorting out
There is fluid spilt throughout this is caused by not enough care taken when filling it
All the abouve is not a manufacturing defect so not covered by warranty needs PCBS approx cost $300 to $380
A new replacement is cheaper
Do you want this machine back unrepaired or scrap it here ?

Details: [12 Dec, 2024 12:04 pm] When turned on causes Power tripping in the home and also starts to leaking after that. Not tested in store by safety. Video provided by the customer. [17 Dec, 2024 03:36 pm] Item received by Dandenong service team and processed into queue to be assessed. [18 Dec, 2024 01:39 pm] This has been dropped and fluid spilt [18 Dec, 2024 01:43 pm] Advised customer main PCB mounts snapped off plus , general fluid spill through out caused by filling spills not covered by warranty est $300 t0 $380

One business could not possibly be so…

One business could not possibly be so busy they can't reply to an email, 12days of trying to contact them. Went into the store and was told there was no stock to fill my order, their QLD store had one and they would ring me. 4days later im still waiting for said call. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I'd say it's going to become a mission to receive a refund.

Wish I had seen this site before…

Wish I had seen this site before ordering.

No reply to emails. Took a week to be marked as shipped. Can’t even be bothered giving me a tracking number. Has it been sent? Who knows. Can see from reviews this is sadly common. I can imagine how difficult they would be to deal with if the product had a fault. Won’t buy from again, should have went to Amazon AU…

Absolutely bullshit customer service…

Absolutely bullshit customer service tried for 3 days calling the customer service more then 10 times per day and got no call back tried emailing the customer service support and got no response

My order was placed only got one email with no follow up email regarding my tracking number or if the item as been dispatched.

You should have customer service line if no1 works there

Payment Taken, Order Unfulfilled, and No Communication

I recently purchased an LD Systems MIX62 G3 2-Way Speaker Pair with Mixer for $562.25 from DJ City's online store, which included express shipping. According to their website, "orders are shipped from our Dandenong South, VIC facility." After receiving an automated order confirmation, I got no further communication—no tracking information or shipping updates.
Over the next week, I made multiple attempts to contact their customer service via phone and email. The phone line either failed to connect or placed me on hold for extended periods before redirecting to an answering service. Despite leaving detailed voicemails and sending follow-up emails to both their sales and customer service addresses, I received no response or acknowledgment from DJ City.

It's unacceptable for a company to take payment without fulfilling the order or providing any communication. Making it difficult to reach them and ignoring multiple contact attempts shows a serious lack of professionalism and customer care. Ultimately, I had to resolve the issue through PayPal's Buyer Protection to obtain a refund due to DJ City's unresponsiveness.

I'm extremely disappointed with this experience and feel that customers should be aware of the potential issues when ordering online from DJ City.

Note: I left this same review on their ‘customer reviews’ section of the website, and within a day they took it down. Interesting how I have received no communication from them, yet they are quick to rectify any reviews that give areal insight into their practices. Very telling.
