So far so good…

So far I had a rep that I could reach out to during the process. Nancy S. Was kind and helpful. There was a 20 some minute wait time to get ahold of the rep to set appointment. But once on she called the hospital for me to set the appointment.
These reviews have me extremely nervous as it is literally just my husband's child but these reviews have me thinking this place is a scam. Human error to test husband against wife and not the child. I'm not sure why I had to get swabbed since I delivered her but ok. Hoping this comes back timely so I can get birth certificate updated and husband off my back with his nonsense. So far ok. But these reviews just lowered my faith and have me really nervous.
Update ............
Got the appointment done. Quick and easy.
Took about 5 days for them to complete the test. They did not email me as stated and I did email to ask but did not get a response. I Google searched the site and put in the passwords and user name provided to me aand results were there. Easy to understand and there was support of needed.
Got it in the mail a little over a week later.

Upon being curious I just looked in my spam box. The email saying results were in and link was in there.
Check your spam box!
Anyways now my husband can shut up and accept I didn't cheat on him.

We went to a lab out of Louisiana

We went to a lab out of Louisiana. We got the results back 1672 out of 2034. I’m not disputing results I just kinda wanted to know what percentage is needed to be the father? Our test was 0% There is another possible candidate but he was diagnosed with being infertile. All the dates pointed to the guy I got tested. I am also doing a test with the infertile guy to be sure.

On the fence

We selected this test as it stated results in 2 days after the test is received. The process is easy to complete. I would suggest mailing with your own shipping preference if you are in a rush but that is not within DDC's control. The part I am upset about is that this cost more than other options and we don't have results timely. We could have selected something less expensive. The whole point for me was to get the results within the 2 days. I was notified 5/4 that results would be ready on 5/6 at 6pm EST. Still waiting 7:53 pm.. crossing my fingers the system is still updating for the day.

Reasons why results may not be what you expect...

So, I have a lot to say. And I will explain why I gave 4
stars:

First of all, I want to say that all those bad reviews really almost gave me a darn stroke from all the stress it gave me. Like really? I have come to the conclusion (after analyzing these reviews over and over), that a lot of these women are either in (1) denial or (2) fraud was committed without them realizing. In other cases, (3) human error has occurred. However, human errors, although possible, are nevertheless rare. Let me advise you of a way to reduce human error: If you have 2 or more possible fathers, don't get them swabbed at the same time, because chances for human error will increase in this instance (they switch swabs). Also, in one case that I read, the swab of the mother was mistakenly switched with the child, so the father tested negative because they were testing the father and mother, instead of the father and child. It's simple issues like this. I'd do a blood test for mom, and a swab for dad to decrease chance of human error.

Now, to decrease chances of FRAUD, you need to do it the legal way--or just make sure you are all together conducting this test. Because it is very possible for your "baby daddy" to be a complete dirt bag and to get someone else, i.e. his homeboy, to do the test for him. So, make sure he's not being sneaky, by doing it with him, or have a witness. Another instance of fraud is when the mother uses the saliva of her other child--that IS indeed the child of the possible father--for her other kid. Women can be messed up too!

Now, there's not much you can do about women being in denial. All these women who have alleged false results, please follow up with some evidence. If not, stop making the rest of us worry! The way your baby "looks" to YOU is SUBJECTIVE. You might want so badly for your child to be his that you find ways the baby looks like him (even though they are not related). C'mon, how many times have we seen this on Maury? Countless.

Now, the reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because I had to wait 20 minutes to speak to a representative. And when I finally spoke to someone, I'm honestly going to say I was not feeling her vibe at all. I mean, in her defense, I did come off a little strongly because I was freaking out about the reviews and thought they were scamming me because it's already been over 2 weeks, so maybe she was just a bit defensive. Whatever the case, good customer service would have been nicer and more reassuring. She was too "strong" for lack of a better word--kind of like she was on the defense already from all the other people calling to complain to her. Please be mindful that many of us are pregnant and already hormonal and freaking out, so it doesn't hurt to be a little nice. Nevertheless, she gave me the facts and details I needed-- she did her job. I was initially upset because of the wait but she pointed out that the results come 7 days AFTER they get the blood sample (which IS advertised accordingly on their website). She informed me when they received the blood sample and counted 7 days from there--which is today. I received my results today and am very happy. I too, was a worried mom-to-be because of the negative REVIEWS. I had no reason to worry before I read these negative reviews; it's just so unnecessary!

Thank you to all those who took the time to write all these positive reviews. I rarely write reviews, but for this situation, I had to. Hopefully, I can give someone else peace of mind.

This company are scammers and mislead…

This company are scammers and mislead you into buying this
By far the worst experience I've ever had
No empathy no understanding no definitive answers not even a resolution
Website states 4days for results, they have had my swabs now for 2 weeks and still can't tell me when I will get my results as their stuck in customs in the US
NOWHERE on their website states tests are being shipped to another country
So tbh time frames aren't realistic for problems like this when it occurs
To top it off, requested a refund because to be Frank it's by far the worst company I've dealt with , they advised me they have to request the refund and I then have to wait for confirmation of the refund low and behold cannot give me a time frame for that either all tour get from the advisor is "I don't know"
Shambles of a company scammers and not helpful
This is so emotionally draining . It's life changing yet they couldn't give a dam!!!! don't waste your money.....I have no faith I'm even gona get a refund ....in which case if this does not happen I will be posting this allover social media.

Inaccurate results

I used DDC in early 2019 to test the paternity of my daughter. I did a noninvasive prenatal paternity test. They took a mouth swab from the potential father (we will call him A) and a blood sample from me. We got the samples taken at my local hospital lab. It took 5 business days to receive the email containing the results. To my surprise, the results said a 0.00% chance that A was the father. That didn't make sense because according to my conception date he was the only possibility. There was a 2-week gap before I had a one-night stand (we will call him B). When my daughter was born she was the spitting image of A. Her date of birth lined up to A as well. Of course, my relationship with A was done. That result changed my and my daughter's life forever. Not to mention I also paid $1300 for the test. I have researched DNA Testing extensively sense and I am convinced the test was wrong. When I reached out about a retest they said I would have to pay another $1300. My advice is don't use them. There are a lot of things that can go wrong to cause a false result and something this important I advise doing a blood test and only blood. Father A smokes and they did not give us any instruction before arriving. We ate lunch before the appointment and he smoked a cigarette on the way there and then before we went in. They will not take responsibility for the mistake or try to correct it. There are many reports of people getting retested and getting a different result. Unfortunately, I cannot afford another test as I am a single mother because A left after we received the results. I was honest with him about B but I also said I was 100% sure the baby was his. He was heartbroken, to say the least. I did not cheat, A and I had broken up due to some circumstances at the time.

I have a question to the users of this…

I have a question to the users of this service? are results really accurate? i am finding out soon the sex of my baby and I am scared in case the results of the ultrasound do not match with the results of the report i got from here. Only because if the sex is wrong then what else is wrong? i just need reassurance and i want the ultrasound to match. SO far the service with the company has been really good but you see so many news over the internet regarding fake DNA results that it makes you paranoid. Although i am still waiting for my physical report to get to my house. Everything else has been good. I cant wait to hear a reassuring response from some user. I am trusting the results of this company to go through with this pregnancy, it is a very life changing information at least for me.

Suggestion: Go Somewhere Else

Let me preface my complaint with the following: 1. I checked the Better Business Bureau. There are three complaints about the delivery of results in the last two months alone 9/20/2021, 9/23/2021 and 9/29/2021. There are 42 that have been filed. How that equals an A+ rating is beyond me and incredibly misleading. 2. I have never filed a Civil Suit in my life, but I feel so strongly about the blatant incompetence of this company, their failure to meet their obligations under the contract, and the distress their negligence has caused all parties involved, that I am going to research my options in terms of a civil suit on behalf of my daughter. My concern: To provide proof that the father of her unborn child is actually her ex-boyfriend, my daughter paid 1300.00 to have a paternity test done. I am listed as a party who is able to receive information. This has been a sensitive situation since day one, as I am sure most paternity issues are. Initially, her ex-boyfriend missed two appointments to be tested. My daughter wanted her money back, but instead, she was informed by Mark Brown (Sp?), who claims to be a manager, that someone could go out and swab her ex if he agreed and the test could be completed. According to her ex-boyfriend, a woman did come out – with a child of her own in tow – to get his sample. He stated she took a picture of his license and swabbed him. My daughter contacted customer service and confirmed that the sample was taken. She was assured she would receive the results by Friday morning of the following week, which is today, 10/28. My daughter called at 11:00 a.m. this morning as she had not received the requisite email to get the results, nor was she notified of any delay. She was told that the woman who took the results from my daughter’s ex, never took a picture of his license. My daughter called the ex. He said she did. He provided my daughter with his picture ID, and she then sent it to the company. They said that violates a “chain” they have to follow, and they would try to “find” the person that swabbed her ex. Shortly thereafter she was informed they could not “find” the person who swabbed her ex. She was told they would have to do the entire test over. That is when she again got in touch with Mr. Brown. He stated that if both she and her ex signed a paper stating that they were both okay with a non-legally admissible sample and then they could get the results today. Both my daughter and her ex agreed. It is 5:45 p.m. she has not received the results, nor has anyone contacted us regarding the results. Mr. Brown does not answer her calls or emails. She has been distraught all day. Needless to say, I would suggest if you were considering a DNA test you go somewhere else.
We received the results at 6:39 p.m. The “sincere apology” I see this company offer ad nauseum on the Better Business Bureau will not be enough in this case.

The worst customer service!!

I was extremely frustrated and disappointed with this company and process. They showed no professionalism and a lack of respect for their customers. The overall process took about 2 months which was not the original process time that was communicated to me. After submitting my sample, I heard nothing from them for about a week until I reached out. After asking for an update on my case, I was informed they were awaiting documents from the other party involved. This was never communicated to me, and I fear it never would have been if I had not called. The documents were sent 2 days later and still no word from the company for at least 4 days. Again I reached out to ask for an update when I was told the documents could not be opened. Once again, the company and staff failed to notify me of this issue, causing more time to pass that could have been avoided. I resent the documents, only to hear nothing for a week. I reached out again, extremely frustrated at this point, and was informed they were still waiting on documents. Keep in mind I sent the documents to the email they provided me. I expressed my frustration about lack of communication and respect for my time and was told a manager would reach out to me. This never happened. Again, I sent the documents they needed to complete the process to a different email they provided. Several days went by so I reached out for another update. After waiting 30 minutes to speak with someone, I was asked to hold and then was hung up on. When I called back they said they were closed. Finally I was able to reach someone the next day, only to be told the process couldn't be completed until payment was made. Again, no one ever reached out to me to inform me of the information. When I previously made complaints I was told that not only would a manager reach out to me, but that I would be given a discount or partial credit for the troubles I experienced. I mentioned this to the representative on the phone and they informed me the sales department did not have my phone number. The amount of people I called and gave my number to was at least 5 so this was no excuse. I want to reiterate this is not about money. I had no problem paying the amount in full. It was the extreme lack of communication, professionalism, and respect displayed by the company and staff of DNA Diagnostics Center. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had with customer service. It was hands down one of the most frustrating experiences. I would never recommend this company to anyone and I strongly suggest you look elsewhere for your services. Given the importance and seriousness of the services they provide, I expected far better service and communication.

TERRIBLE!! Sick to my stomach.

My experience with DDC has been HORRIBLE! I paid $2,000 for an early prenatal test. First, they didn't have anywhere even remotely close to my zip code who could preform my blood draw, so I had to have a friend do it in her house (she is a phlebotomist).
I paid extra to have an expedited result. It took over week and a half for them to give me results when they promised 3 days. They were able to warn me it was going to take a day longer than anticipated and apologized, but it ended up taking 5 days longer than anticipated. Not to mention I couldnt reach any of them because their "system was down". I am sitting on hold going on 22 minutes right now as I type this. I had big decisions to make in this time, so not having the result when promised was HUGE. I have spent hours of time on hold with this company trying to get answers over the last week. Finally, they answered my call Friday afternoon and gave me details to log in and see my results. The results are one page long and doesn't even have my name on it. What did I pay $2,000 for!?!? I am beyond upset. I have no confidence that these results are even mine. I did this to have peace of mind and am now more stressed than before. I want my money back.

Scam alerts

Scam alert! So these people acting like they're innocent and I'm writing a review to let you know that these people are not going to look into what they say I will never see my money just like the hundreds of other people that they scammed will never receive their money and until they are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and taking off the streets it's going to continue to happen I encourage nobody nobody to go to these people these people are horrible people and it's mainly a criminal Enterprise consisting of women I've never talked to a man on there so these criminals are all women with no hearts they're soulless. They stole $34 from me they charged another gentleman 250 for the same test they charge another gentleman 600 dollars for the same test and stole his money you can read that review on Google reviews under their telephone and name and number and the Google reviews of this place there's a bunch of fake reviews on here that they probably most likely wrote their self or paid somebody to write I only seen my review and another person's review that were legitimate on Google as well as the better Business bureau there's multiple fake reviews and then there's only a couple of real reviews on there the better Business bureau is in bed with these people so now you can't even trust a better Business bureau. And I'm not going to apologize and I'm not going to change my review on that these people are criminals and need to be brought down. And that's all I'm going to say these people reply back with fake sincerity these people have no intention to pay me back my money I will never see that money again. And I will never deal with these people again knowing that they stole $600 from one man and they stole $250 from an immigrant I will never deal with these people and I will constantly make people aware that they're running a scam plain and simple

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

If I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered a kit on 8/15. Never received communication about my order. My card was charged and has processed the payment. I called 2 days later and was asked for an order number. Number given (I'm lucky I took a screenshot of the last page of my order or I would not have had one). They couldn't locate my order in the system. Said give them the day because the old system was loading into the new system and I'd have my email with information. Didn't receive this.

Called 8/18 to ask for my money back. The girl didn't have my order and had to ask me for my ENTIRE credit card # again, including expiration and security code. This is not information I wanted to give but had to in order for her to process my return. Here I am 2 days later...no return transactions are shown on my account yet. I still sit here waiting for my money. I'll probably have to dispute the charges and report everything to the State Attorney General.

P.S. Ordered a similar test from a different company and immediately received confirmation and tracking information. Should be getting it in 2 days.
