Falsely advertised as free

Requested a Preventative Care checkup and was told the $150 service (for 15 minutes of time) would be free. The doctor was fine, spent the first 4 minutes or so doing things on the computer, ordered annual bloodwork for me, and ended the call at exactly 15 minutes to get to the next one on time. I then received a bill for $66. So much for free! I messaged about this charge, the response was to talk to my insurance and the "chat has been closed". They purport to talk to my insurance when they say their service will be fully covered. But when that information is false, it is on me.

After insurance this comes out at $100…

After insurance this comes out at $100 per hour to talk to a doctor over the phone. Then they cancelled my appointment a few hours before the appointment but said I would have to pay $30 if I cancelled, sooooo I am expecting my $30.

Incompetence

I’d give 0 if the option was available, I made my wife to use this horrible service because they’re recommended by my office for convenience, rather than being seen by MD, a NP showed up and prescribed medication without clear instructions to the pharmacy, attempt to get clarification from the NP proved abortive. Several calls to patient services, proved unhelpful as they wanted my wife to see someone else and pay afresh, what’s wrong with you folks? This has a tinge of fraud.

Doctor on Demand was excellent!

Doctor on Demand was excellent!! I had a boil and it was really infected. I waited 5 minutes for a doctor and the antibiotic was called into my pharmacy during our 5-minute visit. Definitely using them again!!

I can't reccommend against Doctor on Demand enough.

I can't reccommend against Doctor on Demand enough. Find a different provider. I was seen for mental health concerns. I found my doctors to be competent but it wasn't until I changed providers did I realize that the doctors at doctor on demand are really pretty mediocre. And don't even get me started on working with their support. I need detailed receipts for my visits last year and have gotten only about a third of them and the only way I got those is to wait an hour on a call to have them send me a message with some of the receipts I needed. Still haven't gotten the rest. I guess I'll need to wait on the phone for another hour or more.

I threw out my back for the first time…

I threw out my back for the first time and er is 45mins away. I could barely walk, it was that severe so I could only imagine getting in and out of the car, enduring 45 min ride, hours of waiting to be seen and 45mins back. I also have no ins and $99 is very reasonable.I never tried this service but I was desperate. Brittney Addis, FNP that I spoke to was wonderful, very patient with me and I didn't feel rushed . I explained how it happened with muscle tightening up, twisting to do something and then feeling a pop with immediate shooting pains in my spine and bad muscle spasms. she explained why I felt it in my spine and how the muscle is attached. She also ask if I had any numbness in my groin, any tingling in legs etc,to rule out something worse, and said if i experience any of these symptoms to go er immediately. She prescribed me flexeril, prednisone and a doctors note for work. said meds should work quickly. fast forward to tonight; spasms stopped with meds and pain is already 50% better after only 1 dose of prednisone and lots of heating pad time.

Garbage Doctor Taking Advantage

I had a flu but I though it was a work related accident, however that was ruled out by the ER doctors. So I simply wanted treatment for my remaning flu symptoms after 10 days. I don't have a pcp so I thought oh telehealth great! The horrible urgent care doctor who saw me there (provider Katy Robertson) listened to all of my story, heard work accident and absolutely refused to treat me in anyway. So I asked for a refund and she said no refunds ma'am, I "educated" you. Oh the nerves!!!! They are not doctors, they are incompetent greedy people. She could have rejected my appointment in the first place since I explained this in my chart. But no, she was interested in the money. The customer service on the phone immediately agreed to refund me and 5 days later, they changed their minds on this. Really a nightmare, I am disputing with my bank

Booked appointment for my son's…

Booked appointment for my son's earache. They charged me the fee then told me they can't help us unless we have a separate piece of medical equipment for them to view his ear digitally. Said if I had "checked the fine print," I would have seen that I needed the equipment. Total BS. Wonder how much money they make this way. Other telemedicine does not require equipment. Wish I had called TelaDoc first.

Terrible company don't ever use!!

I went through the process to set up an appointment through the app, It said my appointment was in 60 minutes. I waited over 2 hours, called "customer service" basically got blown off and told I didn't have an appointment despite it saying on my app I had an appointment and a charge was made to my account.
It was 10 pm when I made the appointment. I was told after waiting over 2 hours online and an hour trying to sort it out with so called "customer service" that a supervisor would call me back tomorrow and there wasn't any appointments available.
So much for "On Demand" and "24/7"
Don't bother using them they will just stress you out.

I do not feel I was adequately treated.

I do not feel I was adequately treated.
When I joined the session, the providers camera was not on, I had to specifically request that she turn her camera on.
I explained my symptoms and was told that I have a cold and take Tylenol and day quill. I have already been doing this and my symptoms are getting worse.
I explained that these exact symptoms happened to me 6 months ago and I was diagnosed with a sinus infection and given a prescription. The practitioner said this is not a sinus infection and that it's just a cold. I'm 31 years old, I know the difference. I told the practitioner I felt as though I wasn't being listened to and she said if they gave out antibiotics to everyone who felt this way they wouldn't have any.
I am incredibly disappointed with this service. I chose DoD because I had good experiences in the past, though it's' been a while. I would like a refund as I feel my concerns were not addressed and now I need to go see another provider.

Doctor on Demand dropped therapist without communicating with clients

I was using Doctor on Demand for online counseling. I received an email on 2/17 that my therapist would not be available starting 2/7, so I contacted them via chat (the only contact option) to ask about my upcoming appointment, and what it means that they're 'unavailable'. They responded that my appointment had not been canceled, and directed me to a phone number to call for scheduling issues, but did not respond to repeated questions on what it means that my therapist is unavailable.
During my appointment, I mentioned this to my therapist; they get frustrated that DoD has disseminated an unclear message to her clients, and tells me that even though they have been with DoD for a year, suddenly DoD doesn't like the type of license she has, and has told them that their going to be let go, but given them no timeline. My therapist could not therefore give me a timeline on how long she would be allowed to continue seeing me, but they anticipated, since DoD had talked to them about continuity of care, that DoD would give them a final timeline that would allow them to have at least one wrap up appointment with each client, to help them figure out how to move forward with care. Less than a week later, my follow up appointment has been canceled, with no communication from DoD on what that means. When I went to the DoD website, my therapist is still listed on the website, but with no availability; under the calendar in small writing is a notice that appointment availability is always variable, and I can check back later to see if there's more availability. DoD has at no point communicated that my therapist will be leaving, or that I can no longer see them through DoD. This is incredibly frustrating, as someone who is in the middle of working through traumatic events I really would prefer not to start over.
Additionally, the DoD platform is just very poor. There is no ability to message your care team, there is no place for your care team to message you, or any way for them to provide after-visit summaries. This is abysmal patient care.

The visit was great but HORRIBLE customer service

The visit was great but their billing and customer service is horrendous! I paid them through my insurance portal and they accepted the payment them kept demanding payment through their billing service. 2+ months of trying to get one of the payment refunded. Still haven't happened and nobody pays attention to my "case" unless I'm on the line then there is some other excuse as to why they can't refund $54! Seriously any other company would refund that amount over a customer service issue.

I would give negative stars if I could

I would give negative stars if I could. Seriously should have read reviews before having an appointment, but thought it would be a quick way to get this sinus infection some meds. Nope! This joke of a nurse said to keep doing what I’m doing (which isn’t helping). When I said hey I need meds to get better ( and I would like to mention I have not had antibiotics in years YEARS! So building a resistance is not even on the radar for me) …her response was that I was not compliant and I could hang up and wait for another doc and pay another fee. Waste of time and money!!!!!!! The gal was rude, unhelpful, and automated. And then had the nerve to act like I was the problem! I honestly want to save people from the frustration that we are going through right now. My husband has been begging me to see a doctor because I’m truly not improving, but I’m avoiding this place. Useless is an understatement.
