A great unlocking service experience

The unlocking service is user-friendly, timing saving and it is really clear of all procedures since I have placed order. When I have doubts of the unlocking results, which is failed, I can reach for client service in real convenience via email, and it’s indeed solved the problem. I highly recommend this service! I often top up mobile accounts for friends and family members living abroad. Customer support is very helpful. When I encountered an error entering my mobile provider, they responded immediately and refunded my funds. Thank you for your polite communication with users. Just email them for more details; the chatbot is programmed to handle basic issues. Overall, I'm happy with this service; it's a real help. The interface is intuitive.

PLACING RELATIONSHIP OVER TRANSACTION

doctorSIM is one of those increasingly rare companies that have not (yet) replaced empowered human beings with artificially stupid robots. It's not perfect, but their system is self-correcting. An international phone top-up I purchased was mis-routed to an incorrect number. Don't really know "how" this happened - my finger might have slipped, could be something else (one digit was off). I let doctorSIM customer service know what happened. The first response was quick (within minutes) but not what I wanted to hear: "Sorry, nothing we can do." So I wrote back and said that's not really an acceptable answer. If there's a mistaken transaction on a credit card, it's reversible. If a bank mis-directs a wire transfer, it gets reversed (nobody can keep money that doesn't belong to them). I don't know the details, but doctorSIM seems to think that doesn't apply to them. Maybe foreign countries refuse to give the money back. I don't know. But the bottom line is, on their own, doctorSIM escalated the issue and quite rapidly issued me a full refund. They told me this was basically "out of their own pockets," - not really reversing the erroneous transaction. OK - I believe that. The point here is that they didn't have to do that, and most companies wouldn't. You'd be forced to dispute the charge with your credit card company, and months later maybe win or lose. doctorSIM decided my long-term relationship with them was worth more than 10 bucks. This isn't the CEO making that decision, but somewhere at the top of this company is somebody who understands that relationships are more important than transactions, and they empower their workforce to make things right. That's rare, and that's commendable.

Good Customer Service but Extra Security Protocol delays crediting to phone for days if not weeks

Summary: I applaud the good customer service (they follow through with legitimate complaints and are fair) but rapid top ups are not possible with the newly introduced security protocol.
Follow up (14-04-2026): Today I have received a message from DrSIM saying that the outstanding issue from my MC payment has been resolved (refunded. It should be reflected on my next MC statement.) I was promised a small credit delivered to my AzerCell number as compensation for the hiccups I endured. I checked my AzerCell app and that appears to be credited to me. I have to admit that Customer Service is good. However, the security protocol, which was worked around for me as an act of good will for my being stuck in war-time Bahrain, is counter-productive if you need a quick top-up. (Regardless of balance, AzerCell requires a top-up every 90 days; otherwise, service is restricted. I attempted to top up on the 89th day.)
Follow up (27-03-2026): I was promptly contacted by a customer service representative of doctorSIM by email after posting this complaint. One of the topups was manually processed by doctorSIM, the one I paid for by AmEx, but that still leaves the other one outstanding I paid for by MasterCard so only half of the transactions have been dealt with. Update;
Original Complaint: I have an azercell phone number (Azerbaijan) and I need to top up every 90 days. Obviously it is not a problem when I am in Azerbaijan but I am currently in Bahrain and the 89th day was on the 25-03-2026. The problem is that doctor sim does not stipulate and give fair warning to customers upfront that there is an additional "layer of security protection" that they reveal only after your money is taken and the transaction is complete requiring that the customer to respond by email with "the 4 digits that appear next to the charge on your card statement in the format “DOCTORSIM R XXXX.” They say that only the customer "can see this code, so it’s a safe way to verify (credit card) authorization without asking for any confidential information." However, that is what OTP is for and this introduces unneeded redundancy and delay as that information cannot be accessed by a credit card customer instantanously. (Even AmEx Platinum Middle East said I could not retrieve the four digit code on my AmEx app for at least three days.)
The second problem is that I will not receive my MC statement till next month on the mastercard I have (for which I do not have online banking) so I have to wait 2-3 weeks for receipt of my statement by email. So I then decided to try my American Express card because, with that, I have online banking but when I opened the AmEx portal I saw no such number XXXX following a Z. I called up AmEx and AmEx informed me that for that to appear on my online page, I shall have to wait several days. In the end I had to use Mobile Charge dot com because the customer gets credited within about a half an hour from after the transaction goes through without additional rigamarole and waiting. Now Iran is threatening to knock out electrical infrastructure in Bahrain, in response to the prospective unleashing, by the US, of a ground war against Iran so in 3-4 days I may not have internet to access the XXXX number after the Z. It is really grossly unfair not to warn customers about a delay in fulfilment of a transaction in advance to give customers the option not to use the service. Rates for such international transfers to foreign mobile phone numbers by platforms like Dr Sim are steep [commission and service charge (16.56 manat) is 27.6% of the amount transferred (12.98 manat) on a par with interest on an unpaid balance of a credit card!] compared to the amount being transferred to the phone number in question and that should have to cover the risk of an occasional fraudulent transaction just like credit card rates are high in case some credit cardholder defaults: all the good credit card holders pay in advance, in effect, for the baddie. I would like to get a credit reversal (a refund) for my first attempted transfer using Mastercard and to get my transfer in my second attempt using AMEX to get credited to my azercell number immediately without waiting for the XXXX verification to arrive. Business ethics (if that is not an oxymoron) mandates that the Dr Sim site, before a customer clicks the pay button, should write in bold red large font that transactions are subject to an extra security protocol that may take, depending on the situation of the card holder, days or weeks to resolve. I would also add that there appears to be no customer service hotline and no customer service email that customers can access to address problems involving any transaction.

I recently tried to unlock my iPhone 14…

I recently tried to unlock my iPhone 14 From T-mobile & I used Doctor Sim I paid the $5 fee and It included a Free blacklist Check for my phone and it came out as not blacklisted Also my phone wasn’t successfully unlocked due to t-mobile not Approving it They did issue me a refund Even tho it clearly stated that it was a non refundable service 10/10.
