Mixed experience, but.....
Adjusting my initial review but leaving it unedited below for reference to those who want to read between the lines or have had a similar situation.
Doctorsim have made good on a few mishaps that were unfortunately frustrating.
Their communication in relation to my messages were fairly prompt.
In the end they offered a top up as a way of making up on what may hopefully have just been a glitch on the side of the mobile provider rather than Doctorsim.
So I have to credit them in this regard and say well done for making amends here.
I would try them again in there future knowing that they're actually trying to do the best they can.
I have raised my one star rating to four for this reason.
Payed for a top up/recharge to a Vietnamese sim, had filled in the details in about a minute and received a confirmation email instantly, then soon after a second email asking for ID verification actions to be taken .
Followed those instructions and waited in vain.
I had to connect with the chat bot for multiple messages to push for my actual recharge credit to go onto my sim.
Eventually receiving it hours later which felt unfortunate.
The following day I thought to purchase the same deal for my partner, presuming i had my verification process validated it would be a breeze this time but no.
Apparently after my original ticket was flagged to the senior team for urgent attention, it was added to my sim without my id being validated?? So you can imagine my dismay at being given the run around at the second time of asking.. Very disappointing.
Having asked for a refund I was told it would be 2 to 3 days and to connect again with them if nothing happens.. Not happy to hear this.
Thankfully my refund was processed within a few hours of me writing this review. So that's something.
I've also received a complimentary top up offer which I appreciate even though I no longer need it, and an apology from customer care.
A Recurring glitch seems to be afoot for this mishap, hopefully your experience won't be like mine was.
