Disappointing first experience, but excellent response from customer service
Disappointing first experience, but excellent response from customer service
I signed up for a DO Health blood test and unfortunately my experience at the testing location was very disappointing.
My first appointment was booked at the Holland & Barrett Leicester location. I followed the instructions to arrive five minutes before my appointment, but the store did not open until the appointment time and there was no clear guidance on where to wait. When I returned shortly after 9am, I was told that my appointment had been given to someone else.
When I was eventually seen, my blood pressure was checked and I was advised to monitor my readings at home. The practitioner then attempted to take my blood but was unable to obtain a sample, despite trying both arms.
I was rebooked for the following day with a different practitioner. Unfortunately, the second appointment was also unsuccessful. Again, no blood sample was obtained, and I was disappointed that the option of seeing someone experienced in taking blood from the hand was only suggested after another unsuccessful attempt, as this could potentially have avoided another unnecessary appointment.
The DO Health app also showed that I was awaiting results despite no blood sample ever being collected, although DO Health have since explained that this is an automatic process linked to the original appointment.
I contacted DO Health by email, as this was the only method of contact available, and I have to say that the response from their customer service team was excellent. They acknowledged my concerns, explained the situation regarding the app and the recent blood pressure protocol change, confirmed that my feedback had been shared with Randox Health for investigation, cancelled my subscription, and issued a full refund of £249.
Whilst the actual testing experience fell far below expectations, I appreciate that DO Health listened to my concerns and dealt with my complaint professionally. I hope the feedback results in improvements at this location so that future customers have a smoother experience.

Great communication
There was an issue but they contacted me before I contacted them, explained the issue and gave me clear options. Then very quickly sorted it out as I requested.

Daily tasks
Fantastic to receive extensive blood results with bespoke actions to improve and clarity on what the results mean. Other positives are: daily tasks, reflections, people's honestly, normalising modern world pressure points, micro changes, promotion of curiosity, feeling it's a positive community, seeing how the pillars interconnect, prioritising myself

Fantastic App
Having blood tests properly explained and coming up with a plan to improve is fantastic. Coach Joy is great 😊 and having regular retests is very motivational. Being able to ask questions whenever I liked was fantastic. Highly recommend to anyone concerned about their health or simply wanting to regularly test important markers.

It didn’t work for me as appointment coverage in my area was not available. When I advised them of this they very swiftly provided a refund. 3 stars for opening up in areas where you cannot fulfill the product. I may return if that changes.

Fantastic, user friendly and vital to taking control of your own health
Great app underpinning the Do Health journey. Easy and intuitive to use with excellent levels of detail and information. Even if scores aren’t great there is a positive can-do sense to the actions to take to improve health markers. Excellent (and seamless admin) experience at test centre. Overall, an outstanding approach that is so empowering for individuals.

‘Do Health ‘ is a must !
I have joined ‘Do Health’ because I’ve been struggling with my weight since going through the menopause. Although we eat a variety diet, I am obviously doing something wrong.
I have been for my blood taken and received a detailed report of my bloods results. This has given me an understanding of how each biomarker that my blood is made up of does.
Also at what level my blood is, what each biomarker supports e.g. inflammation/ circulation and how to improve it, via lifestyle changes and by using supplements.
It also has given me an understanding of what different foods I need to eat more of and what foods I need to limit. Which for me has been a breakthrough.
I have found all this out after only being with ‘ Do Health’ for a week.
How wonderful is that ?

Stop Biotin (ie Collagen supplements etc) 3 days before your BT!
The email about NOT to take Biotin (ie Collagen etc) for 72 hours came in just 24 hours before the blood test. Not helpful. I saw the email on the night before (12 hours) so too short notice to rebook. I’m concerned about the accuracy of the test results. I’m particularly concerned with the possibility that I have potential case of Alzheimer’s because of family history so the collagen levels I take will have had an impact on this result. When I got my results Alzheimer’s isn’t mentioned but I heard it in the marketing, so it was an expectation that was disappointed. However, I sent an email where it was agreed that this communication needs improvement, somewhat. It will be fed back to the team…but so far I’ve not had any further advice.
The nurse who took the bloods was lovely - but she works indirectly with DoHealth so couldn’t answer any of the questions I had.
The location was 25 mins away. Not a problem for me but could have been. So more test centres will be welcomed I’m sure.
Having AI Joy to take me through my lifestyle adjustments is ok but I would have preferred to have a human consultation before I start the AI journey.
However, I am very pleased to have had the 50 bio markers done and look forward to reducing my biological age although it was just 11 months more than my actual age🙂
