Same as the others

Same as the others. Paid for service and when I need them can't get hold of them.
Lost my money and now need to pay more to fix my issue.

DO NOT TRUST THEM

SCAM WARNING!!!!!!!!!

We are furious with SMART RECOVERY CLUB LIMITED (also known as Domestic Appliance Cover). I took out a policy in good faith, only to be told within a year they were going into administration then shockingly, the same individual has now launched SMART HOME RESOURCES LTD, selling the same boiler and appliance policies.

I've reported both companies to Trading Standards who are investigating this.

****DO NOT TAKE OUT COVER WITH THIS COMPANY***
****This Company is a Fraud****
I have lost £200 with these people.
I had a repair done at my property by a tradesman they sent. But they have not paid him and he is now demanding payment from me. I am calling the company, Domestic appliance but no answer, they have changed the number.
I have reported this to the Police!!!

I have two contracts with this company.
I tried to contact them a few weeks ago and they said they had problems with phone lines, I was given a personal mobile number which isn’t getting answered either. I was told I’d be getting a refund but zero contact since then so I’m contacting trading standards later this week.

Fraud alert

Fraud alert, scam, avoid.
I have taken boiler insurance from them in January 2025. I now need them to fix the problem I see in my boiler. I tried calling them multiple times but no answer. I wrote couple of emails but no reply.
Avoid at any cost.

Boiler issue -unable to reach Domestic Appliance Cover

Hi, I have taken a boiler insurance with Domestic Appliance Cover two months ago. Last 5 days I’m trying to to contact them but their telephone line seems not accepting calls, it says the destination number is currently engaged. I have send them numerous emails on the Mail ids, but no response till date. Seems like this is not a real company giving insurance services as advertised and promised. Now I’m having my boiler issue and no idea how to get I touch with Domestic Appliance cover to resolve the issue. It seems I’m conned. This is the number I’m trying to reach 08000 088 6537. Is there any other number to contact them? Or do I have to report? Any advise / suggestion pls? I’ve emailed them requesting to contact to me but no replies nor calls from them until today.

Had a call from Lee

Had a call from Lee, from the company "domesticappliancecover.co.uk " which when you phone brings you to this company.
Had a call to ask my to service a boiler for a customer.
I did that job and also a repair.
I have not been paid for either job, and am also out of pocket for the parts I bought.
Finally got an email saying that they might be going into administration, and they will try and pay me in the next 3 months.
Avoid at all costs.
Karma is coming

I think there is actually a genuine site called domesticappliancecover.co.uk which they have used themselves

I was called by Lee rocky knight.

I was called by Lee rocky knight.
To attend a domestic property to do a gas cert .
He offered me £130 if I attended on date 1/2/25 1pm. And I would get paid within 7 days.
I did exactly that..been two weeks now and no payment..I called and no reply.
He has been avoiding my calls and texts.thinking I would go away.
After numerous attempts he called me back and told me he won't pay me.and I have to get the money from. The person whom I did cert for..
I did the cert for him.
After doing some background search on him. I found that he is using company name of another company ..
Well it seems he is a scam artist.
I will make sure I service "HIS"boiler as promised.

I have been waiting for payment or even…

I have been waiting for payment or even a basic response for six months! As a gas engineer, I stepped in at short notice to help your company, completed the job, and submitted my invoice—only to be completely ignored. Despite countless emails, messages, and phone calls, I’ve had zero response. The amount owed is just £96, yet as a sole trader, I shouldn’t have to waste my time chasing what I’m rightfully owed. I acted in good faith, but this company has shown nothing but dishonesty and disrespect. Absolutely disgraceful.

Company intentionally set up to defraud , Police are now investigating, no account posted on companies house

I am a heating contractor, was called by this company to carry out a central heating repair, I have not been paid and they do not answer the phone , will be taking then to court to recover my cost of £480

Awaiting payment or communication

I am a gas engineer who did some work for your company at very short notice. I submitted my invoice and then radio silence. I have sent numerous emails, messages and have tried calling many times but to no avail. My invoice is only £120 and as a sole trader I could do without chasing. I acted in good faith; it’s a shame as the company sounded genuine when they contacted me. In response to the reply below this company is a fraud. My invoice was submitted on 18th January, it is now 17th February and still nothing. To fellow engineers, DO NOT do any work for Lee.

Really impressive service and…

Really impressive service and efficiency from this company.

I came on board some 5 months ago now to protect my Boiler and the transparency in service from the team at the beginning was second to none.
It was very affordable compared to other companies offering cover and when it came to making a claim because as bad luck would have it my heating had completely packed up, I called and got through to David (The manager) he got a local tradesman to me in a little over 24 hours who was very friendly and got the element replaced and there wasn’t even an excess for me to pay!!

Outstanding service from beginning to end especially from David who made me feel like a priority not an option with his excellent service. I can’t recommend them highly enough. Thank you

This deserves a zero star

This deserves a zero star. I have been the victim of a scam. I am 76 years old and have been conned by this company who took £300 and now are not picking my calls or emails!! 😡

Having spoken with you on this matter thank you for allowing us to explain on here.

We would like to confirm that Mr Sabir is still our customer who boiler service is booked for in for this week.

To explain, Mr Sabir called in but we had missed the call that day due to a very high volume of calls, our customer service team had returned the call later in the day however this post went up the same day prior to the call, there was no email that was sent to our customer services.

Mr Sabir is still our customer and we are glad to have reassured Mr Sabir on the day in question.

We would like to also state that Trustpilot has been dragging its feet and we now have managed to gain access to our platform until today. We are now able to invite our customers to leave reviews. Also to confirm we have had a number of good reviews taken down by Trustpilot which our customers have informed us about which is upsetting. We understand Trustpilot may reply asking for more information but not all customers check their emails daily so we now know we need to ask customers to keep an eye out for the emails.
