Please STAY AWAY from this seller

Please STAY AWAY from this seller, he scammed me! He sold me a second-hand car with 12 month warranty but when I asked him to fix an electric fault he literally disappeared and blocked my number! I tried to call him from another number and he picked up, only to hang up when he heard it was me! He also inflated the cost of the parking sensors I asked to add to the car and never worked. Definitely to avoid.

Poor sales (and after sales) attitude

A very similar experience to the other buyer below with regards to refusing to refund deposits despite no costs having been incurred between sending the deposit and the following morning when I asked to cancel the purchase.
Along with refusing to acknowledge my rights as a private buyer and it being a a distance sale (therefore covered by said regulations), Paul refused point blank to refund my deposit.
The car also had a fault (which was present during delivery) although the driver simply said he’d used all of the screenwash during the journey this wasn’t the case and it was in fact a faulty sensor.
Paul simply replied denying it was the case during handover and even claimed his driver had said there was no issue despite the driver telling me the sensor was on because he’d used up the screenwash.
Claiming it wasn’t covered under warranty which incidentally wasn’t mentioned and therefore letting me sort it myself is clearly the easiest option for this seller.
I may as well have bought privately in this instance.
Lesson learnt the hard way.

Stay clear of Dorset marine auto rip offs

I saw a car I liked and called Paul and he asked me to leave a deposit, now any other cad dealership I have dealt with usually have asked for £100 deposit. Paul asked me for £500 then went down to £300.. usually I wouldn’t pay such a high deposit as I was paying part on finance, but he seemed very nice and I felt like I trusted him. I paid my deposit late Saturday afternoon on the 10/7/21.. I called my finance company to go ahead with the finance with the car, but they do checks on the company before they release the money.
Unfortunately they came back with a big fat NO to dealing with this company and was told they check the trading standards and financial background and also, lots of complaints about other cars not being fixed when sold with faults and not giving back money owed etc.. it looks like when you read the reviews they are good untill you delv deeper.
I called Paul to tell him the finance company would not deal with his company first thing Monday 12/7/21.. basically the car was off sale for 1 day, and told him I would no longer be going forward as the finance warned me not to but from them as they are known to trading standards.. I asked for my refund back, to be honest I didn’t expect all of it back.. but he flat out refused!
Had I have done my checks on this company before putting deposit down, then I would not be writing this now. Stay clear from this company even though some reviews might say otherwise!!

Just a little update on this company.
Paul from Dorset marine auto lmtd seen my review and text me asking to take my post down and he would give half my money back, I refused as I thought people should be aware of this company. He then went on to tell me that he had my card details that I gave him over the phone for my deposit on the car, and that he was going to take another £300 from my account without my consent, just because I refused to take down my reviews. I have now contacted my bank and put in a fraud report, I have also had to block my card and have a new one issued! What kind of company would go to these lengths. Be aware people… this man and his company are scammers and are willing to take your cash any means necessary.
