I rented a car from this company between June 20th and 30th. When I rented the car, I also purchased the best and most expensive insurance. However, when I picked up the car at Cagliari airport, I discovered that none of the insurance I had purchased was valid. I rented the car from Italy Car Rent They constantly deceive people and charge extra money. I am complaining about them.

Surprice is the worst rental company i ever used. Bad cars, dirty and a lot of malfunctioning. And it’s not only me.
They are cheating systematically the customers

In our experience, this company is completely dishonest. Even if you cancel your reservation, they refuse to refund your money. They keep sending you from one person to another until you eventually give up. Do not book a rental car through them. Thank you for your reply, but I disagree. The credit card requirement was not clearly displayed before payment. If such an important condition had been clearly highlighted, I would never have completed the booking. Keeping my €569 without providing the service is unfair. I still expect a full refund.

I was making a car reservation on my computer and had several providers web pages open to compare prices. Two of them were DoYouItaly and DoYouSpain. The price for the car I was choosing was the same on both web sites/pages. I made my reservation on DoYouItaly and closed the webpage. The webpage for DoYouSpain was still open. I overlooked that I'd made my reservation on DoYouItaly, and made a second reservation, exactly the same, for the same car, same dates, same price on DoYouSpain. So I have 2 charges on my credit card for £205.96. I understand that both reservations stated that no changes or refundable cancellations were allowed. I only need one of the reservations, and am requesting one of the charges to be refunded. I am sincerely hoping you can understand my situation, and agree to a refund.

My experience was very good. The only thing is that I couldn't find where to add an additional driver and couldn't find a contact email or chat

Shocking experience. Unauthorised money taken from my credit card and no response to my numerous emails. No easy way to call them. Please don’t use them or ECH who were the car hire company they sell for.
Can someone please respond to my emails. I am not calling Italy

I cannot recommend booking through DoYouItaly.
My rental was fully prepaid (€310.38), but when I arrived to collect the vehicle, it was refused and I never received the service I had paid for.
I asked if my wife's credit card, with her present at the counter, could be used for the security deposit. This was refused without any attempt to find a reasonable solution.
I have been requesting a refund ever since and the matter is currently being reviewed through Mastercard's chargeback process.
Travelers should carefully read all rental conditions and be aware that, if the rental is refused, obtaining a refund may become a lengthy process.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL NOT GET A CAR AND THEY WILL NOT GIVE YOU A REFUND. The car hire company at Bergamo Airport (WheeGo) gave away the car we were supposed to hire, and tried to charge us a 300 Euro upgrade for a much bigger model. They told us we needed to WhatsApp them within 30 minutes of landing to arrange a pickup and confirm the vehicle. I texted them numerous times for the pickup, but wanted to make sure we were ready to go first. But being British we had to wait 45 minutes to clear EES checks, then get across the airport to the pickup point, which is 800m away from the terminal. A long walk for my 89 year old father who is very slow on his feet. This is the second time this has happened to me. Save your money because with DoYouItaly.com you will lose it anyway and have to spend more again correcting their mistakes. Instead book directly with one of the operators located in the terminal itself, you will be less likely to be left high and dry by a company that is just interested in getting the money out of you rather than providing a good service.
UPDATE: below is the reply to this review from DoYouItaly.com. The meaning is clear - ie not our problem. The key phrase is 'we aim for a smooth journey and clear guidance before travel.' But if that's not forthcoming, it's down to the cowboy companies we work with not us, so tough shit you're on your own.
"Hello,
At Bergamo Airport, vehicle allocation and pick-up timing are managed by the car rental company, and the Collection information in your voucher details the contact steps and timeframes, including communication on arrival. Availability and vehicle category follow the details of your booking, while any alternative offered at the desk is optional; we aim for a smooth journey and clear guidance before travel.
Kind regards,
Pablo"

I've been using DOYOUITALY for almost a year, and it has never failed. Very good deels. You do need to get to know which companies are more trustworthy, but as far as DOYOUITALY is concerned, I'm very satisfied.

Very disappointing experience.
We prepaid $272 for a Ford minivan to pick up from bari airport , including insurance. The only extra charge mentioned during booking was $92 for the child car seats. After booking, we received another email suddenly stating that the car seats would cost $152 instead. When we contacted customer service several times for clarification, they either gave irrelevant answers or stopped replying completely.
Before arrival, we were told that only an international driving permit was required. However, when we arrived, they unexpectedly demanded the original Lebanese driving license as well. Because of this, we were left waiting with two babies at a café while family members spent over 30 minutes trying to solve the issue. Even after providing a photo of the license and trying to cooperate, they refused.
To make matters worse, they then asked for an additional €230 for insurance, despite the fact that we had already paid for insurance in advance. We felt pressured into paying unexpected charges that had never been clearly communicated.
In the end, we did not receive the vehicle, lost over an hour and a half of our vacation, had to pay for taxis, and were left with a great deal of unnecessary stress. Although their website advertised free cancellation, they refused to refund us.
Poor communication, hidden costs, lack of transparency, and no consideration for customers traveling with young children. I would not recommend this company and would never use their services again.

Do not use this agency under any circumstances. Do not book through this broker. They are thieves.
They cancelled my booking because I arrived one hour late. The problem is that the name of the rental agency on my booking voucher was wrong, so we spent a long time trying to find the correct office.
Because of that delay, they cancelled my reservation with no possibility of a refund. I was left with no car and no solution.
This is completely unacceptable. They are thieves—there's no other word for it.
Avoid this broker at all costs. These are apparently common business practices for them, and they are well known for it. This was confirmed to me by other car rental agencies when I eventually rented a car elsewhere.
Stay away from them. I lost €700 because of them.

I made a reservation and it required credit card to collect the car but there wasn’t any information about that before the payment

Simple and cheap process to book - hopefully all will be well on collection 😉
