Environmental friendly

Such a great products. I had used the Amblyseius swirskii - Premium Loose Predators - Thrip Curative System and Amblyseius swirskii - Foil Sachets products for thrips. I haven’t seen one thrip after 3 weeks of use. Happy to use an environment friendly product rather than using strong pesticides.

Great Traps

The sticky traps I bought were a very good way of trapping bed bugs. They worked brilliantly to catch a majority of the little pests.

Fungus fly killer/ gnats

I have been using this company for my pest issue’s for a while now and I must say they do what they say on the tin and more. For example I purchased fungus gnat killer as I had a really bad infestation. Combined with sticky traps these bottled up natural predators worked wonders and my infestation was put to bay after just 1 week by the second week there was no sign of any gnats. Even though it’s recommended to use both in conjunction I noticed the eggs had no chance of surviving with even just the fungus fly killer Great company, great price and I would highly recommend them to anyone struggling with any pest control problems.

Low maintenance pest control

I have started buying A. andersonii predatory mites regularly this year. These are fantastic, I have a LOT of house plants and controlling spider mites by other means (regular sprays, dips, washes etc) was proving impossible and driving me mad. So far this season I have no mite damage with no effort expended! The bonus is they also mop up other pests too. A complete win! Dragonfli were very helpful in identifying the type of mites and recommending the right predator for them and my growing conditions. Customer service has also been very helpful when I needed to change a delivery time. Thank you, great service

Success seems complete for this year at least !

It would seem there is healthy new leaf growth on the fuchsias but with the cold weather we have been experiencing the growth is yet small and it is difficult to tell. Some of the plants were so badly infected, I had to cut them almost back to the ground and there wasn't much leaf left upon which to use the product. At least one plant needed cutting back almost daily.
I sprinkled ALL my fuchsias, not just the obviously infected ones and those with a larger leaf seem to have escaped the gall-mites anyway.
I am keeping my fingers very tightly crossed. . . This is the second year of a very heavy infestation on my fuchsias and I may well have to invest in the predators early next Spring. In the meantime I am taking cuttings of the uninfected plants. Your sachets or boxes in the Spring, maybe. I am more convinced as days go by that the infestation has been conquered but we will see in the Spring ! I recommend these wee critturs to combat gall mites !
The service I received from 'Sales' when the courier failed to find my house and the product was therefore an extra day in transit was most reassuring and helpful.

Your Wasp attractant, killed wasps extrreamly well

Your Wasp attractant, killed wasps extremely well,l am a beekeeper, seven apiaries, this year other lures were pulling in bees, yours were very selective no bees, solid wasps like a cake in the traps, killed thousands.Sad to kill them but a real danger to bees they rob out and kill smallish colonies of bees.

I purchased 100 ladybug larvae weeks…

I purchased 100 ladybug larvae weeks ago and followed instructions when arrived, only to notice that there are only about 4 alive still out of more than 200 seeds?! I have read up that if they can't find food once hatched they will eat each other! Maybe better response on when it will arrive and be delivered would have saved me my money and ever buying something from you ever again

Wasp attractant and traps do not work

Wasp attractant and traps do not work. Do not waste your money! I eventually gave up and used plain old squash in a cheap Amazon trap (highly effective by the way) and now I’m being told this is the reason they haven’t worked despite having several weeks to work before and after the squash was put out. One of many excuses so far: ‘too early in season’, ‘too close to the nest’, ‘too far from the nest’, ‘containers not set up right’ ‘manufacturer never seen this before’. Essentially blamed on user error or the wasps being too discriminate. Total waste of money.

Hi there,

Thanks again for your feedback and please accept a further apology from us for the fact that the traps were ineffective for you on this occasion.

We did very much appreciate your patience as we attempted to understand why the attractant did not prove enticing for the wasps in this instance. We hope that you can appreciate that we were only attempting to gain a better understanding as to what went wrong so as to ensure that this outcome is not repeated. The traps and attractant have always been successful products for us and your circumstance was the first we've encountered unfortunately.

After sharing your concerns with our manufacturers and acknowledging that they too could not provide an answer for this, we hope that we served you correctly by providing you with a full refund for your order.

On a final note, it has been a strange year for wasps, with very minimal signs of activity within their usual late summer window. There have been multiple explanations given for this, with a cooler, wetter and essentially delayed, start to summer having potentially flushed out a lot of wasp nests. We anticipate that with a more predictable summer season next year our traps and attractant will continue to be highly effective.

We hope that we'll be able to help you out again in future and apologies once more for the disappointment caused on this occasion.

Kind regards,

Dragonfli Ltd

Spent an extortionate amount of money…

Spent an extortionate amount of money on the clothes moths traps and parasitic wasps, and they don't. Emailed to ask if there was something we may have done, as I didn't feel the wasps had worked (I now know they hadn't, as in the same drawer we have a number of items which had live larvae), and was told it would and could take a few treatments. This may be the case, but you would think those ones might not be happily thriving. Please don't waste your money. I also bought what I thought was organic pest control - without pesticides and it arrived and had that written quite boldly on it. Disappointing.

Hi Marie,

We are tremendously sorry that you had a negative experience with your order, and seeing that this was your first order with us, can understand that you would have come to a negative conclusion about our business practices.

We would just like to hopefully clarify why you did not achieve the immediate results you had envisaged with our Clothes Moth Egg Killer Sachets and Clothes Moth Pheromone Traps.

The sachets release thousands of tiny parasitic wasps, tricky to identify with the naked eye, over a period of four weeks. Over these weeks it is hoped that enough of the wasps will have parasitised enough Clothes Moth eggs to reduce the emergence of further damaging Clothes Moth larvae. The wasps themselves will not kill the larvae that are already active so the best way to combat these is to catch them in our traps when they are adult, flying moths,

Once the wasps have cracked the life cycle, and the traps have caught enough of the male adults to reduce mating sufficiently, you should see a reduction in infestation levels and hopefully no further damage to your clothes and belongings. This is why we say that repeat treatments are required, as it can take multiple applications before the life cycle is broken; allowing more wasps to parasitise any eggs that were laid after the first round of wasp emergence had elapsed.

In terms of your concerns over pesticides, we can confirm that we do not sell any chemical pesticides at Dragonfli. We have a firm belief in biological, natural controls and do not condone the use of any non-discriminatory insect killing sprays that leave residues on plants and kill beneficial insects (as well as the bad ones). We can see that you ordered SB Plant Invigorator from us (perhaps this is what you are referring to?) and can confirm that this is not a chemical pesticide as it does not leave residues on plants, it kills targeted insect pests via physical action instead. It is a unique spray which specifically suffocates pests, rather than poison them, and will leave no residues on plants after use. It is therefore also safe to use on edible plants & crops.

In compensation for your negative experience, however, please contact our customer service team at sales@dragonfli.co.uk and they'll look at assisting you further so that you can hopefully see some better results.

We look forward to hearing back from you and once again apologies for the distress our order has caused you at this point in time.

Kind regards,

Dragonfli Ltd

I've always had really good experiences…

I've always had really good experiences previously however recently their customer service is poor and so are their products. I purchase them then regularly as I have quite a large houseplant collection and I treat preventatively. But recently I had my firth thrip infestation, I purchased their mites that can be used on thrips, spider mites and a whole bunch of other pests. No spider mites anymore but the thrips are getting worse and now I can't use pest spray because it will kill the predators. I think they are false advertising a few of their products, including this one.

At the same time I purchased mealy big predators, most turned up dead and to this day I haven't seen a single one alive on any of my plants.

Hi Timothy,

Many thanks for your feedback.

We'd be grateful if you could provide us with your order number so we can look into what's gone wrong for you. Please contact our customer service team at sales@dragonfli.co.uk, quoting your order reference number, and they'll be happy to assist you.

It sounds like you might have purchased our Amblyseius andersoni predatory mites, which are generalist predators that can indeed be used to combat infestations of Thrip, Spider Mite, Fuchsia Gall Mite, and more. Glad to hear these had an effect in controlling the Spider Mite for you but if they were not effective at tackling the Thrip on this occasion, this may be because they are only able to combat the smaller larvae of this pest.

Our Amblyseius swirskii predatory mites would be a much better option for tackling Thrip infestations and we advertise these as our top Thrip predator as they are able to combat multiple stages of the Thrip life cycle, including the larger larvae.

In terms of the Mealybug predators you refer to, if you received some of our Cryptolaemus montrouzieri predators with appropriate casualties you are protected by our 'Arrive Alive Guarantee' whereby customers who receive products with appropriate casualties are promised reimbursement or a replacement order. Again, please contact our customer service team at sales@dragonfli.co.uk and they'll be able to assist you with this.

We very much look forward to hearing back from you and apologies again for all the disappointment caused thus far.

Kind regards,
