I agree with other reviews. Called Twice now and been told on both occasions my father with dementia would be refunded the £200 they took from his account. Of course no sign of the money. Shameful and no better than robbery from people that can't protect themselves. Avoid

For the second year running this company have set up a policy with my mother who has dementia.
This is after promising to take her details off their system in 2024.

Once again, Drainage Protection Line is trying to get my valid review removed. Says all you need to know about this "company".

The plumber was friendly, answered all my questions, and did the job right. Happy with how it went.

Unfortunately you can't award less than 1 star. This company prey on the elderly. They extracted £150 for drain coverage from my elderly and venerable mother-in-law. Contacted to complain and Karen assured me on 22nd January 2025 as a reputable company they would process a refund with in the week. Needless to say nothing has materialised. No response now when I phone them. I will keep phoning every day until this is resolved.

They are now wanting me to remove the review I left them. No chance after they scammed money from elderly father. Avoid this company as they prey on the vulnerable.

These People called me DESPITE being registered for the Telephone Preference Service IE DO NOT COLD CALL. they are not operating within the UK law.
Read other reviews about them selling old . vulnerable people , policies they nether want nor need . They purport to be from the "Drainage Protection Line" . Scammers Avoid and report them!

Absolute criminals, taking advantage of my 75 year old mum who lost my dad her husband a year ago. I was around at my mums when they last called and the moment they realised I wasn't her they hung up, nothing but conmen

Agree with everything written here. They take thousands from vulnerable people. My Godmother has vascular dementia and was fleeced for hundreds of pounds. AVOID this company

A scam. Targetted my 81 year old Mum with similar process to what has already been posted. Giving her £200 apparently...From what I gather only took bank details so not much use but operated intimidatingly.
So please watch out!!!

Minus one. SCAM SCAM SCAM. Called them up and spoke to a lady called Andy who was rude obnoxious and irate that I asked questions politely as my friend had been scammed by them. Hopefully will get money back. The man who called was very pushy and my friend is partially deaf and disabled. It is a disgrace. Awful .

0 stars Rip off company taking advantage of elderly people my Mother has dementia I rang them last year to tell them to remove her number & refund the money they took off her over the phone now they have sent a renewal letter saying she agreed to direct debit a yearly amount which will be taken 1st January well good luck with that one as the bank will not be paying you anything you & your staff should be ashamed I hope someone does it to your elderly relatives!!!

Scam. Talked my 91-year old neighbour into taking out an insurance policy he doesn't need. Should be ashamed of themselves.

Scam. But a disarmingly adept simulation of a genuine business. It so happens that we do have drainage problems, and my first assumption was that this was Wandsworth Council, to whom we have complained. The scam takes this form: (1) The first call informs you of a *reduction* in annual costs, *savings* due to improvements in infrastructure, verifies name and address, and bank account number and sort code, and gives notification that details will be posted. (2) A second, 'confirmatory' call, one hour later (from 'Debbie') goes over the same details, as if verifying once again, but betraying - when challenged - that an oral contract is (allegedly) already in place and giving the date of the first payment. I repudiated having made any contract. But here is what is eerily sophisticated: rather than putting the phone down, and thereby admitting to the scam, my cancellation of the non-existent 'contract' was accepted, and when I asked after full details of the business, information was forthcoming. The business address of 'Drainage Protection Line' is (supposedly) 20 Poole Hill, Bournemouth, Dorset BH2 5PS, on 0333 444 0736/0713. I look forward to dropping by, next time I'm in Dorset, to express in person my admiration for their technique.

I just want to concur with the other reviewers that this is a scammer company aiming at elderly people (in my mother’s case with dementia and poor eyesight at 93 years of age). Most likely associated with the other scammers in the Poole area - Home Waranty Group and Utility Care Services. Look out for Direct Debit letters from a company called Interbacs, who facilitate scammers to set up direct debits.

They have written to me and told me they are covering my plumbing and drainage systems for the next 12 months, and that they will be debiting my account for the money shortly. Fortunately, they can't. But they are a despicable shower and the main director should be in prison.

This company are set up to scam vulnerable people with insurance for drains that they don't want and don't need. don't answer the phone , don,t answer emails . they set up direct debits they have no authority for.

This 'business' is a SCAM! They sell you services you don't need and will not provide !! They are targeting vulnerable elders with dementia selling appliance cover that doesnt exist!!! Please be very aware!
