Avoid at all costs (ultra x50)

Spent 2300 on a robot vacuum. Within 6 months, the side brush stopped spinning (x50 ultra)

Customer service horrendous - line would be put on hold and then hangs up automatically. Sent details through to email for no response. Lodging formal consumer complaint now.

Extremely disappointed with Dreame UK’s…

Extremely disappointed with Dreame UK’s after-sales service.

My robot vacuum was delivered to your repair centre on 15 December (confirmed by you), and since then I have received nothing but excuses, delays, contradictions and empty promises.

I have sent over 16 emails, made multiple phone calls, spoken to agents and a manager who personally promised me an update – which never came. The device was not even registered for repair for weeks, despite your own stated repair timeframe of 7–14 working days.

No clear repair status.
No confirmation.
No replacement.
No refund.

I informed you clearly that I am relocating from the UK on 10 January, and you assured me this would be resolved before then. It has not been.

What is most disappointing is not the product defect itself, but the way this case has been handled – with lack of transparency, accountability and basic respect for the customer.

This is not premium service. This is not professionalism. And this is not how loyal customers should be treated.

I am now forced to escalate this through Klarna due to your lack of resolution.

Think twice before trusting Dreame’s after-sales support.

⚠️ Warning

⚠️ Warning: Stay away from Dreame Robot – Safety and Quality Issues

I am beyond frustrated. I spent 2,000 euros on these robots thinking they were a long-term investment, but it has been a total waste of money.

Even after sending them in for repair, they still don’t work. The sensors are useless, and they can’t even find their own docking stations. Most importantly, there is a serious safety flaw: the robot completely ignored a pile of toys and almost hit my daughter while she was playing.

I bought the extended warranty, but it doesn't matter if the product is fundamentally broken. Save your money and your sanity—don’t buy these!

I am extremely disappointed with Dreame and their handling of my faulty robot vacuum and mop.

After my unit developed a fault, I followed their instructions and returned it to them for inspection/repair. From the very beginning, communication was poor. When I asked for their postcode so I could track the return myself and have peace of mind, they refused to provide it, which I found both strange and concerning. As a customer sending back an expensive item, basic transparency should not be an issue.

I was later informed that they received the vacuum on 16th December, yet since that date I have had absolutely no update whatsoever. No repair status, no replacement, no refund, and no meaningful response despite chasing. Weeks have passed, and I am completely left in the dark.

This situation has had a serious impact on our household. We rely heavily on this robot vacuum and mop due to health conditions that limit our ability to manually vacuum or mop. Without it, our home has become increasingly dirty, with dust and dirt building up daily. I personally suffer from chest conditions, and the worsening air quality has already caused my symptoms to flare up. This is not just an inconvenience – it is actively affecting my health.

What makes this even more frustrating is the complete lack of urgency or empathy from Dreame. Once they had the product in their possession, customer care seems to have stopped entirely. There has been no recognition of the disruption caused, no proactive updates, and no accountability.

I strongly advise anyone considering a Dreame product to think very carefully. While the products may look impressive on paper, they are only as good as the support behind them – and based on my experience, that support is extremely poor. When something goes wrong, you may find yourself ignored and without the product you depend on.

I recommend choosing a more reputable company with reliable after-sales service. As you can clearly see from the many negative reviews already on Trustpilot, my experience is unfortunately not unique.

Dreame have completely failed to meet basic customer service standards, and I would not trust them again.

I got the L40 pro ultra. It was delivered with a 3 inch hole in the side and no suction. The customer service was so bad it took 6 weeks and huge hassle for them to offer a replacement or refund. For me it makes the product worse than useless because it’s clear these items do fail and need excellent, swift customer service to make the service work as a whole. Below is the message I sent to Dreame.

I immediately told the vendor. They told me to contact Dreame, so I did. It took nearly a week for Dreame to reply. Dreame told me to contact the vendor, so I did. They told me to contact you again, so I did. By this time I’d used the robot and discovered it didn’t work: it doesn’t seem to have any suction. I kept having to chase Dreame for responses and each time there was a new request eg needing the invoice to be shared in a PDF format. Eventually Dreame seemed to accept it was Dreame’s responsibility. It then took more than a week for Dreame to organise a collection courier. Overall this process has taken about a month. That’s insane. The night before the courier, after my kids had gone to bed, Dreame emailed to say I had to print out an address label. Dreame told me that courier would arrive 9-5. The courier arrived at 8:45 as I arrived home with our baby who has just fallen asleep, he kept asking for the robot and woke our baby up. It’s not his fault and this shouldn’t matter, but she’s going through a sleep regression and I basically haven’t slept since she was born 7 months ago. I have explained multiple times that I need this vacuum so I can function and stop the baby eating rubbish off the floor. It’s a health hazard. From the beginning I’ve been asking for a replacement, and it’s taken a month now. Today, despite the robot being collected last week, the email from Dreame is asking me to send the robot back. It also says you won’t send out a replacement until your receive the old one. You must have received the old one already. You offer next day delivery on your website. I’m speechless that basic customer service wasn’t to send out a functioning one immediately give the original one was broken and defective.

It is hard to believe how bad every step of this process has been. The product was delivered broken and is defective. The customer service, while very friendly, has been the slowest most ineffective, time-wasting customer service I’ve experienced. I really want to like this robot but it’s been one of the worst product experiences I’ve ever had.

Do not buy directly with this company

Very disappointing experience with Dreame Canada.

I ordered directly from their website because of a promotion that included a free Accessory Cleaning Kit. Nearly three weeks later, the accessory was never delivered.

Customer service has been unhelpful and keeps repeating the same responses without offering any concrete solution. Despite multiple follow-ups, there has been no reshipment and no refund. It feels like a complete dead-end conversation.

Based on this experience, I would not recommend ordering directly from Dreame Canada.

Buyer beware

Buyer beware. I purchased a high-end vacuum with accessories and an extended warranty, and problems started within the first few months. I had to ship it back multiple times for repairs, which was extremely inconvenient given the price and my distance from the carrier.

Eventually, I was offered an “upgrade,” but it turned out to be a refurbished model with fewer features than what I originally paid for. Even that replacement began having issues within two weeks. Customer service now wants me to ship it back again, but they refuse to provide a full refund and will only offer a partial one.

For the cost of this product, the repeated failures and lack of accountability are unacceptable. I would not recommend this company.

Amazing customer support, Lila thank you

I had some issues with my Dreame vacuum.
I can’t express how professional nice was Customer Support team. Especially Lila,
She was always fast to follow up in proper manner, always in time, and she was able to ge my trust as before talking to her I was extremely disappointed by couple issues that was quickly resolved.
The vacuum itself is great , customer support is tremendous help
I already recommended this brand to my friends who bought and left happy
They are always quick to answer

Absolutely horrible

Absolutely horrible. They offered initial 10% discount. Code didn’t work, but I purchased anyway figuring I would just contact customer service immediately and they would adjust. For one weeks worth of “send to higher level execs” responses. Total crap. Horrible customer service. No I said “fine, I’ll return it”. They are making me pay to return it and bring it to UPS. Horrible service and company. Stay away!

Terrible Experience

Terrible Experience – Worst Customer Support Ever

This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. My order never arrived, and Dream Tech Support did absolutely nothing to help resolve the issue.

Instead of finding out where the package was or refunding my money, they claimed they “created a FedEx return label” — but never scheduled a pickup and never actually recovered the package. Then they used that as an excuse to refuse a refund, even though the product was never delivered in the first place.

They showed zero interest in tracking the order, zero accountability, and zero effort to help the customer. Every response felt like they were trying to push responsibility onto FedEx or the customer instead of fixing their own mistake.

At the end of the day, I’m left without the product and without my money. This is unacceptable and feels extremely unprofessional and dishonest.

I strongly recommend avoiding Dream Tech Support. If something goes wrong with your order, don’t expect help, answers, or a refund.

Dreame H12 Pro after two years gave an error H2 and stopt working. The machine announced please contact service center so i did. I gave the service center pictures, information, calls, emails en invoice of the H12 Pro and after two weeks still no reply no nothing. Very bad service.

Customer service here in Spain has…

Customer service here in Spain has agreed to replace the vacuum.
It broke after 34 days of use!!
Now I have been waiting for over 2 weeks with just a message saying "we are working in getting you a repair"
I don't think these vacuums are made to last and now I can't return it. It's such an issue.
I couldn't recommend.

Very bad experience — order stuck for more than 2 weeks

J’ai commandé un aspirateur lavant Dreame sur leur site officiel en France le 28 novembre, et aujourd’hui, plus de deux semaines après, ma commande n’a toujours pas été expédiée. Le statut n’a jamais changé, aucune mise à jour, aucune transparence.

J’ai contacté leur service client plusieurs fois :
➡️ On me répète à chaque appel que ma commande sera « prioritisée »,
➡️ Mais rien ne change, aucune action n’est réellement faite.

Je suis très déçu et franchement pas du tout satisfait du service. Acheter sur un site officiel devrait être rassurant, mais c’est l’inverse : manque de communication, absence de suivi, et aucune solution concrète proposée.

J’attends toujours une réponse claire, une expédition ou un remboursement. Pour l’instant, je déconseille fortement de commander directement sur leur site.

I ordered a Dreame wet vacuum cleaner from their official French website on November 28, and today, more than two weeks later, my order still hasn’t been shipped. The status has never changed, there are no updates, and absolutely no transparency.

I contacted their customer service several times:
➡️ Each time, they tell me my order will be “prioritized”,
➡️ But nothing changes — no real action is taken.

I am extremely disappointed and honestly not satisfied at all with their service. Ordering from an official website should be reassuring, but it’s the opposite here: poor communication, no follow-up, and no concrete solution offered.

I am still waiting for a clear answer, a shipment, or a refund. For now, I strongly advise against ordering directly from their website.

Smeared dog 💩everywhere...

Bought a Dreame l40 Ultra AE for its ability to identify and avoid obstacles and yet, somehow, it managed to miss not one, but two massive dog poos my puppy had done in the bathroom.

And when I say missed, what I actually mean is that it rolled over the top of them, then decided to mop them directly into the floor. Then it decided to smear them liberally around the bathroom... every surface of the floor was caked in poo.

And it didn't end there - after that it decided to hoover my hall carpet and presumable because the mop heads couldn't retract due to being laden with dog waste, it covered my hall carpet with poo too.

It took 4 hours of being down onmy hands and knees to scrub the dog crap out of the carpet and disinfect the bathroom floor.

Then I had the joy of removng the 💩 from the vacuum iteslf which had was utterly riddled with the stuff. Every tread of the wheels had poo in it, ever vent on the bottom of the machine, the roller, every little recess and the little side brushes. Of course, the vacuum had been to the base station to rinse the mops which meant that it too needed cleaning and disinfecting too.

Total clean up time 5.5 hours and, to top it off, the vacuum no longer switches on presumably to it having some kind of poo or water damage.

£600 wasted.

Extremely Disappointed – Two Premium Dreame Robots Failed, While a $179 Temu Vacuum Outperformed Them

I normally don’t write long reviews, but my experience with Dreame Australia has been incredibly frustrating and deserves to be shared.

I first purchased a Dreame X40 Ultra, expecting premium performance from a high-end robot vacuum. Instead, the unit struggled almost immediately:

It couldn’t climb even small transitions from hard floors to carpet
It frequently got lost, spun in circles, and couldn’t return to the base
The side brush fell off repeatedly
The charging base developed rust
It emitted a burning smell while “charging”
The vacuum simply didn’t clean properly, especially on carpets or edges

After extensive troubleshooting and communication, Dreame eventually replaced my X40 Ultra under warranty.

Unfortunately, the replacement X50 Ultra (paid $2399!) has been just as problematic, if not worse.

For weeks, the dustbin and dust bag have remained completely empty, even after multiple full cleaning cycles. The robot simply does not pick up debris. It also:

Avoids edges and furniture instead of cleaning around them
Fails to lift its mops properly when transitioning to carpet
Runs for 15–20 minutes on carpet before dying
Spins in small circles like it’s confused
Avoids cleaning under furniture
Requires constant remapping
Does not behave anything like advertised
I’ve tried everything: firmware updates, remapping, cleaning sensors, factory resets — many hours wasted on a product that should “just work,” especially at this price point.

Meanwhile, the support phone number in the app is disconnected, and I often get no response to emails. When I do, the responses are slow and repetitive, with no long-term solution.

The most surprising part?

While waiting for Dreame to repair or replace my X50 Ultra, I purchased a cheap Lubluelu robot vacuum from Temu for around $179 as a temporary backup.

And shockingly…

That cheap vacuum performs 100× better than the $2,399 Dreame X50 Ultra.
