AVOID DLAG or accept poor service and extra charges

Unfortunately after having an accident the service from DLAG was shocking, delay after delay when trying to claim. in the end I had to find the garage myself and i'm a 22 year old female. I then kept getting reminders that my mileage was running low and they wanted MORE money to top up... i finally decided to cancel the insurance short and was charged an additional £80, even though it was a month before end of the term.. £80 for probably just pushing a few keys on the keyboard... avoid if possible or don't drive any mile or have an accident.....!

Absolutely do not recommend

The customer service is awful. They take forever to answer calls and respond to online chats. Additionally, their top up miles prices are a disgrace. No one even knows who this company are and they're charging hundreds of £'s more than well-known companies like Direct Line

Avoid At All Costs!

Avoid At All Costs!

I bought insurance through a 3rd part comparison sight. Took this quote as it was the cheapest that met my needs. At the time there was no obvious or clear information that I noticed about needed to fit a black box to my car.
I tried multiple times, wasting a lot of time trying to get in touch via online chat and via phone. I was unable on several occasions to get any help or response from anyone on either.
The one time I did speak to a human, they transferred me and I was immediately cut off and could get back to the person.
They have notified me they are cancelling my policy because I dont have a black box fitted yet I am totally unable to reach any person to discuss this.

Even if it means paying a little extra, I would avoid purchasing any policy from this company as I am in a position of not having insurance, losing money, a lot of time...and not being able to reach anyone for help.

In the end I had to cancel my policy, at cost to me and go elsewhere.

SCAM AND BULLIES.

SCAM. Use another company. Not worth all the stress. I put the date I bought my car, 2 days before I actually bought it, by mistake and they said it's my fault and re quoted my car insurance at £2800. Over £2000 more. They said this was non negotiable and they do not like male drivers. I was shocked. They also charged me £30 cancellation fee and sent loads of threatening emails over the course of a month. This company won't be around for long. Personally, I would not wish my experience I had with this company on anyone. AVOID.

Disappointing but the price explains it

I have recently reinsured with drivelikeagirl for a second year and have started to regret it. Although the quote for insurance was cheap, the level of customer support and portal inaccesibility explains the price. The portal never seems to work so you can never review your policy, your milleage or reward points online, ever. I contacted customer support 9 months prior and was told that access to the portal will be fixed soon. It's 9 months later and I still have no access to it after 4 seperate emails/calls/web chat etc. It also takes an absolute age to receive a response unless you are willing to spend half your day on the phone.

Been trying to use the website to get…

Been trying to use the website to get onto my account now for a year. Finally got on to it the other day for the first time in forever and decided to buy 2 £25 vouchers with my reward points. They sent me expired vouchers and I still haven’t gotten any new ones after they told me they would within a few days. Don’t even waste your time with them it’s exhausting just trying to get onto the website to actually check your progress.

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid!

We used this company for 3 years to insure a teenager, first 2 years the company was great. This last year, it has been terrible. The website portal is often not working, you can spend 30 minutes waiting for your call to be answered, and often once through to an advisor, you call will be terminated if you ask any difficult questions. Following a "no-fault" accident (hit by third party, we had dash-cam footage to prove no fault - thank God!), we received in excess of 200 unsolicited "accident chaser" calls, some of which were aggressive & coercive - we stopped answering unknown numbers. Drive Like a Girl said it was nothing to do with them & they hadn't leaked/sold our information, yet no-one else knew the details of the accident. Now being investigated with the Financial Ombudsman for breach of Data Protection....I would not recommend this company.

Cancelled policy because i submitted…

Cancelled policy because i submitted the documents less than 24hrs after deadline due to C19 issue, complaints officer upheld underwriter decision not to reinstate policy, sighting all efforts where made to communicate the urgency of my response to their demand for proof of docs. I explained family was in mourning process and didn't have time to attend to other matter as preparation where been made for the loss. BEWARE of Drivelikeagirl, insurethebox. If i had known they will be this difficult or that the underwriter is non UK company i would have avoided. Now lost my NCB and Refund. trying to fob me off with my name will not be blacklisted. FSO dealing with it. heartless and rip off business.
