I am not sure how a private instructing business became the only way to take a driving test in Arapahoe county CO. through the DMV website. It is definitely a conflict of interest for citizens considering they charge about $100 per test. Out of eight people/students that came in for a test, seven were re tests. What happened to drive tests at the Colorado DMV? My daughter was failed for two uncommon things. They told her on a right turn, you have to drive in the bike lane then move into the traffic lane. Maybe someone could explain to me how driving in the bike lane is OK or safe when there is an entire lane for cars?
The other was not checking your rear view mirror at every single intersection to make sure no one is tailgating you. They did not allow the parent or guardian to be present when explaining the failure or driving test debrief. I was just required to collect payment for another retest. She was also told by the tester in front of me, "I could have let you pass". Why even say something like that?! That is just frustrating. Other parents I talked to in the waiting area had similar experiences on their students first tests. Please be aware, dealing with them feels like a complete scam. Because it is. A scam encouraged by the state of Colorado. Best of luck!

Fantastic! Wonderful instructors, extremely patient. I felt comfortable the whole time. One particular instructor was amazing but I can't remember his name as I did my lessons 9 months ago 🤣 but regardless I have my license thanks to them and this was a great place to learn with.

We used drive safe for the online written test lessons, the written test, a 1 hour drive lesson a month before my son took his drivers test and then for the actual drivers test.

All four we were very happy with. Quick, efficient and friendly staff. My son thought that the driver lesson instructor was very friendly and informative on what is needed to pass the drivers test and what he should work on.

We would definitely recommend the smoky hill location and plan on using them for our daughter when she will be ready in a few years.

I think everyone was really nice. I am over the age of 18 and I didn’t feel judged which helped me out a lot. In a driving test situation I got anxious but when doing the test drive the instructor was kind and gave compliments AND feedback.

With three drivers having learned from DriveSafe over five years, I'm pleased to report not a single ticket, accident or incident while driving. Thank you for being awesome!

The driving instructors and staff were very helpful and courteous. Scheduling was difficult and we had to drive 1hour away from our house to schedule an appointment that was not 3 months out. The website was not always easy to navigate and figure out where we needed to go to sign up for classes and schedule drives.

The instructors made my daughter feel comfortable and confident during each session. I am very appreciative of the instructors and their personalities and approach used while teaching my new driver.

The instruction and customer service was above my expectations. The only issue I faced was scheduling. Part of it was my fault, for not scheduling far enough in advance. But the availability of available spots, even one to two months out, was sparse. Despite this, the overall experience was fantastic and I would recommend this to any teenage driver.

I was able to get my drivers lincense on my first try thanks to there help!

One of my diver instructors kept telling me to turn left when she meant right or turn right when she meant left so it was confusing for someone who was trying to learn how to drive

Overall, great experience. Reasonably priced, good instructors and very convenient.

Everything was great. My daughter has social anxiety and each drive instructor was so kind to her. She left each time feeling more confident about driving and about interacting. The staff helped beautifully with scheduling.

Cars should be kept cleaner. Felt gross driving around in them.

My son just got his license last month. The instructors and staff were great in making this happen.

The Aurora location is amazing! From the wonderful ladies who run the booking and front desk operations, to the fantastic instructors! I will be bringing my son in a year or so! My daughter loved them. Thank you so much!!
