I had my double jaw surgery on April 10th, 2025, performed by Dr. Mehmet Cömertoğlu. This was a major decision in my life, and I’m genuinely glad that I went through it under his care. From the very beginning, he took the time to listen to all my concerns and answered everything clearly, always with a reassuring and kind approach.

What truly made a difference for me was not just his surgical expertise, but also how supportive and approachable he was throughout the entire process. After the surgery, he continued to be just as attentive, and I always felt like I was in good hands.

I’m really thankful to Dr. Mehmet and his team for making this experience as smooth and positive as possible.

Dr. Mehmet and his team are so patient, kind, and hospitable. My daughters and I booked a trip to Istanbul and decided to undergo some cosmetic procedures. Dr mehmet is an amazing surgeon and really lovely guy from looking at all his work he is very talented so decided to come to him for my deep plane lower face and neck lift and jaw implants. Am looking forward to seeing full results as the months go by. Will be coming back next year for more surgery with him as I trust him and I wouldn’t have any other surgeon as I feel fully comfortable in his hands. All his staff are amazing too.

Wanted to share details of my wonderful experience with Dr Mehmet Comert. I was in Istanbul for C02 laser, fat graft with stem cells and a temporal brow lift. I could already see an improvement with my overall facial composition after a couple of days. My brow position was exactly where I wanted it softening my look and creating a more youthful appearance. I felt Dr. Comert really took the time to listen to me and fulfill my expectations. His team behind the scenes were of great help to me as well. Always someone English speaking to assist. The team checked in on me frequently after the surgery, and ensured my needs were taken care of. Dr. Conlmert is a skilled surgeon with such a nice manner. I left his clinic with an overall good feeling about my treatment and experience and would highly recommend him to anyone considering cosmetic improvements.

Would highly recommend dr Mehmet comert , I am extremely happy with my results and plan to return next year for more procedures with him . His staff are very kind and nothing is too much trouble. The dr is very highly skilled but he remains so very humble. I had a deep place face and neck lift and also chin contouring for a more feminine jaw line .

My review of TruSelf Clinic, and in particular, my amazing plastic surgeon Dr Mehmet Cömert is written with a huge sense of gratitude. I am now 15 days post op from a deep plane facelift, necklift, lower blepharoplasty with fat transposition and facial fat transfer, as well as C02 laser on face, neck and chest. I did over a year of research on this procedure, interviewed surgeons both in the US and also Turkey, really hoping to work with someone who has primarily focused on face work and approaches lifting in a harmonious and multifaceted manner. My complaint was not just my lower skin laxity (me, 41 yo female. No significant weight gain or loss, just general skin thinning and hanging) but also my undereye area. I have had other procedures in the US, where I live, and was a bit freaked out about managing aftercare of a facelift after being discharged from surgery same day, as if often the case in US surgery. I had actually been booked in with another provider in October, had paid my deposit and was ready to go but something in my gut didn’t feel right. Kismet and more online research led me to find Dr Cömert and his results on Instagram were compelling to say the least! I reached out to make a consultation appointment and the process of working with Gizem, founder of TruSelf clinic was seamless to get this scheduled. I felt very at ease in my initial zoom meeting with the Doctor, and felt that we were both aligned and understanding of my concerns and goals for the procedure. With great deliberation, I canceled with my other provider and was so happy to get on the schedule of Dr Cömert.
One huge concern of mine was what was described to me by my California provider as an apparently small amount of filler placed in my tear trough in January 2024. Since April of 2024, that filler has caused a multitude of complications, migrations into other areas of my face and lymph drainage issues because of blockage causing bizarre eye puffiness in strange anatomical locations. This completed matters when looking for a surgeon as prior to my meeting with Dr Cömert, I had already worked with another CA provider (not the original one who placed it as my trust with her skill set had eroded after finding out she put Juvederm XC in my tear trough, a total contraindication given the density of this HA filler and its likelihood to cause issues in undereye placement) to attempt dissolving the filler under my eyes x3 with little luck. Dr Cömert was one of the few surgeons I had found who utilized ultrasound technology to find the filler and recommended that we meet at least 4 days ahead of my surgery in order to start the dissolving process with ultrasound guidance. My trip was then planned. I arrived early as requested (I believe we met 5-6 days ahead of my surgery) and felt even more at ease as we located and he dissolved the errant filler. We then reviewed our surgical plan that day with another scheduled pre op meeting to be held on the day of surgery at the hospital. Day of surgery, I would say there were some reasonable nerves (it is a significant 8 hour procedure in this case), but after meeting again with the Doctor, the surgical nurses, and treatment team, I felt further confident in my decision to pursue this treatment. Surgery is not for the faint of heart. After coming out of anesthesia and in my private room, I was met by my private 1:1 nurse who was fluent in English and fantastic, as well as caring and competent. I had another fantastic nurse stay with me for the second shift, and I felt so well cared for. Once discharged after 2 days, I stayed at the hotel arranged by the clinic, Fulya Vital Hotel, which caters to folks who are in town for medical procedures. My room was lovely, lighting very favorable, great daily breakfast (included, quite the spread with all my protein needs) and room service daily that was fantastic. The comfort and service of this hotel was great. It is also 2 blocks from Dr Cömert’s clinic which makes follow up a breeze. I saw the team daily in the initial days for follow up, both with the Doctor and his surgical nurses who proved lymphatic massage post op. My communication regarding my daily follow up (control) appointments was seamless with Gizem and Sinem via WhatsApp. Every need I had was met, every question I had answered and every normal and expected recovery issue managed. I stayed in town for 14 days following my surgery, which felt an appropriate amount of time and I’m glad I gave it the full two weeks. My leaving was bittersweet because although I had just had a major surgery, the way I was cared for by the treatment team and TruSelf clinic as a whole was more like I was leaving friends.

The best, truly, and if you are traveling far from home for medical care, I would without hesitation entrust Tru Self and Dr Mehmet with your care.

Hello. My name is Mark. I am a 69 year old Australian who lives in Bali, Indonesia. I am writing this review about Doctor Mehmet and his team as i feel they where awesome throughout my process of having a deep plane face lift in Istanbul. Let me add I don't write reviews very often.
I decided to have the face lift after years of watching the wrinkles in my face get bigger and bigger and slowly developing a double chin, which I particularly hated! I didn't decide to have the procedure to look younger, rather more to get rid of these things from my face.
I'd heard Turkey had great cosmetic surgery and was consequently referred to Dr Mehmet through a friend whos lived in Istanbul for many years. Initially I talked with him via zoom and immediately felt at ease. Hes very easy to like! I also felt he knew what he was talking about, so I flew to Istanbul and went ahead with the deep plane face lift plus we did my forehead and chin. I was a bit shocked when I awoke after the operation due of the extent of the surgery. But after 3 days my face started to settle down and within a week I was back in my hotel and eating in the restaurant. Istanbul is great for this as my face looked like I'd been in a war, bandages everywhere, but no one cares. Every second foreigner is there doing face surgery or hair transplants, so its all very normal for the locals. After 14 days I flew back to Bali. Its been nearly 3 months now and my face is looking good. All my friends say I look 20 years younger, not that I did this to look younger, but it's definitely a great bonus!
Doctor Mehmet is a highly skilled surgeon and did a great job for me. Gizem his wife, is marvelous and super helpful. Their team are incredibly professional and took all the fear out of this process for me. Can't recommend them highly enough.

I had a deep plain facelift done with Dr. Mehmet Comert. I’m very happy with the results. I was thoroughly supported and communicated with during the entire process. I came from the United States to get the procedure done. I was originally scheduled with another surgeon to do the procedure but did not have a good feeling. Luckily, Dr. Cormet was able to take me in as a patient and calm my nerves. He was honest and genuine during the pre-op process and made time for frequent visits at the hospital during my post-op recovery. I am very grateful for my experience with Dr. Comert and his team. I haven’t had any surgery done with comert but his consultation was 10 out of 10 and I am considering my surgery with him. He’s always had time to come back to me and answer any questions as a lot of doctors get someone on there behalf to message.

I recently went through a facial rejuvenation journey with Dr. Comert, including a deep plane face and neck lift, brow lift, lip lift, and fat grafting. I did a ton of research, chatting with different doctors and their assistants, but what really sealed the deal for me was an online consultation with Dr. Comert. He patiently answered all my questions and laid out the potential risks.
The healing process is ongoing, and that first week was no joke, but it was expected. Fast forward to now—I'm in my fifth week, still dealing with some swelling, but my neck and jawline are looking pretty fantastic. I headed back to the States on day 10 after the operation. Whenever I have questions, Gizem is quick to respond, and Dr. Mehmet even sends voice messages. I'm genuinely happy with the results and the whole experience. Breast implants by Dr Mehmet Comert. I’m very pleased with how everything went, and I was treated with compassion, understanding and discretion at all times. Absolutely love my new body shape, makes me feel super feminine again after my drastic weight loss robbed me of most of my breast tissue. Dr Mehmet even done some fat transfer to balance out the minor size difference so they’re actually better than what I had previously. Superb pre and post op care and attention to detail from both Dr Mehmet Comert and his wife, and admin assistant, Gizem. Highly recommended
