While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Is this a legit club?

Some red flags for an organization claiming to be a non-profit.

They claim that you need to join the club to get a cheap drone insurance. In reality, you get the same price without droneklubben membership from the same insurance company.

As far as I can tell, there aren't that many member benefits. An electronic newsletter and small discounts from a few stores. As far as I can tell, nothing to justify the 370 kr annual membership fee.

If you accidentally join and pay for the membership, make sure to cancel your subscription, as it will otherwise automatically renew.

We are sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with us! However, we believe your statements lack foundation.

First of all, we are a legible club with org. nr: 924 571 209.

Second: You are free to decide for yourself if you want to join us or not. As a normal organization we have terms of conditions for memberships.

Third: It's not true that you can get the same price from our partners without a membership in our club. If thats the case they must have removed your % discount. You should have gotten in touch with us so we could sort it out for you.

Our membership costs 360kr annually. Not 370. One of our member benefits alone could save you 5000kr from one of our partners. Here is a small summary of some of our benefits you could have used:
- Get professional advice and guidance (within drones)
- Access to exclusive discount agreements with our partners
- Discount on drone insurance
- Discounted prices on drone repair
- Discounted prices on drone courses (Schooling to achieve better drone-license. Courses for starters to proffessionals)
- Option to join contests to win nice prices, like drones and equipment
Just to list a few of them...

We believe that these membership benefits combined are a good deal for those who want to enjoy their drone hobby. The insurance alone is actually a great offer for our members.

You can read about all our benefits here: www.droneklubben.no/medlemsfordeler/
We also have more benefits coming up, and we work hard to achieve what our members request/ask of us.

But with that said, which benefits you decide to use or not is your own choice. 🙂

Our website is however mainly written in Norwegian. Maybe thats why you haven't been able to extract the membersships full potential. I'll forward this matter to the IT, perhaps a English version would helpful for other tourists in the future. 🙂

We really wish you all the best. Hope you find joy in drone-flying, and fly safely. Best regards Droneklubben
