Unclear pricing

Dissatisfied with the experience, pricing and customer support.

The course makes it seem like its great and interactive but its just slides…

The pricing changes all the time depending on the day you visit the site and when you do complete the course, you are surprised with another 20 EUR fee just to purchase your certificate. Why isn’t the certificate included in the price of tje course?

When I contacted support asking for a refund, I am told that it is mentioned in the T&Cs. Of course it’s buried there. But they also state it is on the product page.. hidden in an FAQ dropdown as usual with these kind of sites.

I urge anyone thinking of doing a course with them to seek elsewhere. Terrible business practice. I would almost give my certificate back to do it elsewhere.

Do no use this site.

Hidden 20€ cost at the end!

Hidden 20€ cost at the end!
I did the A2 course which I purchased for 85€. It was advertised with 99€, got a 15% discount but still you have to pay some taxes ~5€.
The course itself is only consisted by slides. No videos, no interaction. At each chapter there is some kind of quiz that prepares you for the exam. In the exam there will be a few other questions but if you know all the Quiz questions by heart, then you will pass the exam for sure.
I did the whole course within 4 hours.
The exam can be taken at any time and it is very well done.
After passing the exam you have to pay 20€ to get the licence. Otherwise you have a passed exam, without licence.

Happy EU A2 Drone Licence owner

Needed A2 EU Drone Licence. After looking online and on various forums decided to go with dronelicence.eu

First of all please keep in mind that the licence fee will be payable separately once you pass the exam. It is 20EUR.

Regarding the whole course I felt if was pretty basic but I already have UK A2 CofC licence so had the knowledge.

I completed the course in one day and passed the exam (proctored) the same evening.

After that was redirected to an official issuing body to make a payment and got my license within seconds.

I WOULD definitely recommend it. Very straightforward and quick.

Gets the job done, but read the small print

I needed my EU A2 drone licence, and after Google searching for providers, I saw Drone License EU was consistently at the top of the search list (albeit 'sponsored' results, so they're paying to show first, not always a red flag, but raises suspicions). The website claims to have "4.9/5 out of 2416+ reviews", though this cannot be verified as it isn't linked to anything. TrustPilot has 2 negative reviews (now 3), and there was nothing on Google.

When clicking on the A2 Course, the advertised price was €65, though this price went up when I came back to the website at a later stage, and then went up AGAIN when I returned for a 3rd time. Deleting my browser history, cookies and cache made the price return to the original €65, so I don't know if this site is dynamically adjusting the price based on user history, or if it was glitching, either way it was odd.

The website advertises "Unlimited free resits" on their courses, but as soon as I purchased the course, I was greeted with a notification that I only had access to the course for 30 days, and if I required additional time, I would need to pay more. I was then offered a discount to buy more days beyond the 30 day period, at a 'special discounted rate' and a countdown timer to avail of the promotion, so essentially high pressure sales tactics. This could catch you out if you don't know that the course and exam can be completed in 1 day.
This information is on their website, it's just easily missed as you have to go searching to see the terms, which feels misleading.

Next up is the course itself, there's no videos from real people, just powerpoint style slides with text that's been translated to English from Google, which is sometimes hit and miss and feels lazy. The course is doable but it's a no frills, sterile experience with a UI that is not user friendly. I've completed the A2 Cert in the UK from a leading provider and it doesn't compare. That said, it gets the job done, if you're willing to put up with the limitations.

Next surprise was an €20 fee to get my A2 cert after completing the exam. This fee is advertised on their website, but you have to scroll down to see it, the advertised price at the top in big bold numbers is NOT the final price, so it feels like they're deliberately trying to give customers the impression of a lower price than what it actually is to secure the sale.

The only positive is that the course does provide you with a legitimate drone certificate, so it's not a scam, but it does appear to employ deliberately misleading sales tactics to squeeze your wallet. When I raised these concerns with customer care, they basically said that they don't agree with me and closed the door. Lovely customer service. Would not recommend.

This company is a scam.

This company is a scam. Materials offered for their A2 exam are sub-par and only are available for 30 days until your account is blocked. If you want more time, you have to unblock your account with another fee of 6,95€ per month (which is not stated anywhere on their site. A line in their Terms and Conditions page state that "Membership can only be extended after consultation with Drone Class.")

When I asked the owner about this, he wrote, "Consultation means that we inform you and in my opinion it is fair to ask a reasonable price for reactivating your account, for it expired.
Best regards, Sem van Geffen"

Save your money for a legitimate business. This guy has no idea how to run one.
