We installed Drone in our 2005 Ford Freestyle January 2019. Our experience has been very spotty. Sometimes it works with as many times where it does not work. The app has had failures. The connection to the car has had failures. Sometimes the car only stays running for a couple minutes and then shuts off without giving any indication. We have the premium subscription which has additional features such as expanded status reports and GPS location. These do not work well. The GPS location may give a point in time snapshot but then indicates that snapshot as being real time live location which is in error. Over all we are very disappointed with the shortcomings and outright failures in this product’s performance. I would not buy again.

I walked outside to get ready to go to work and found my car had been stolen. After calling the police and filling out a report, I remembered I had compustar service. While I had just the basic service that allowed me to start and lock my vehicle from my phone i knew they had a premium service that allowed me to track my cars location. I called the customer service number and spoke with Daniel. I told him my situation and he turned on my GPS location service for me and emailed me an exact location. My vehicle was parked over two hours away from where I lived. I promptly called the police and within 30 minutes they had my vehicle and arrested the people who had taken it. Without this service I would probably never have recovered my vehicle. Thank you Daniel for your help and thank you compustar!

I absoltuely love the idea of being able to start my car from anywhere that has cellular service. However I paid 600 bucks to have the starting and mobile chip installed only to not be able to use the app because it is down for “maintenance.” My keys were locked in the car because of this. Drove mobile did not send an email out until 12 hour after the issue occurred. Good product when working but has extreme malfunctions.

I recommend Drone mobile to anyone. I've been using it for almost 2 years and it's simple to use. It allows me to ensure I locked my vehicle even if I am not within range

Works great in Canada. Occasionally there is no communication with the vehicle

I live in Chicago and love the fact I can start my car from my phone at any given time. Side note, I was able to start my car when I was Mexico. Great app!
