Really pleased with DSR as a new commercial operator. Huge help within the group and great member only discounts on kit. Keep up the great work team.

Two months in and still haven't recieved the membership pack that apparently you get as a new member. Aside from that whilst the facebook group has some useful information shared on it and a means for others to whitelabel work I'm really struggling to see the value of dronesaferegister..

Joined a few weeks ago but so far the impression I've got is..
1. Year on year stats provided on the system suggest an ever diminishing number of quotes being provided by the system
2. Aside from the website there is little other promotion done, ie. trade shows etc ( I asked the question but never got a response)
3. Uploaded content to the site. I would have at least expected it to have some views even if it wasn't being purchased so suggestive that there is actually a very low amount of traffic on the website
4. Took a while and some chasing just to get added to the private facebook group
5. Comments from other members suggests it might be worth joining if you intend to use the discounts on new purchases but don't hold your breath for lots of work

So lets see how this goes over the coming months but will update review again in a few months so could go either way..

I've been operating my business 'The Drone Detective' since November 2021 and created my page on Drone Safe Register that month. Originally only paying month by month, to see what results I got from their quotation system and for recognition of the business. Yes, it's not a legal requirement but, like 'Check a Trade' where else can members of the public look for CAA accredited pilots? On reflection, launching in the winter when flying days are limited had its limitations. The membership also gave me access to their private FaceBook page where I read about (and talk with) other pilots who are working in the business, picking up hints, encouragement and sometimes work. So far I've had two quotation requests - one successful (which to put it in context has paid for my now yearly membership) plus contact from another member who has helped me with precision flying - so well worthwhile, so far. Now it's up to me.

Shows absolutely no purpose. You're better off spending money on SEO & Website development than paying for Drone Safe. Complete waste of money

After much research, I am shocked to discover this is basically a load of BS - its just an advertising platform and nothing else. Drone Safe Register is a name that means nothing. People need to know this is not official if any way and means nothing legally. You don't need this.

Offers no value to its pilots, all the 'leads' generated go to a select small group of members that appear to be friends with the owners.

Great community for networking, technical advice and useful (free) seminars
I have been a member of DSR for a number of years now and whilst I have not had a massive number of leads, I have been able to use their branding to raise the profile of my own website and social media channels. I have also found the DSR community to be one the friendliest and most helpful Drone/UAV communities around. There are also various discount schemes available to members, so I have no problem recommending DSR

I joined Drone Safe Register in 2017 and it's been an incredibly useful resource which has had a really positive impact on our business and how we operate. Our DSR membership has generated leads across various sectors, which in turn have led to new client relationships, further work and being able to work on some very interesting projects.

We’ve worked alongside and assisted other DSR operators with jobs and tasks across the UK, we’ve also been able to call upon the DSR network when we’ve been in need of additional resource, information or advice. The everyday access to a fantastic network of other drone operators, with their friendly advice and in-depth information of all manner of things drone related (or not!) is superb. Very much looking forward to continuing with DSR!

DSR community help and advice is worth the membership alone. To receive business enquires and sell stock footage with zero commission is exceptional and unparalleled.
