taking screenshots on Mac is not always convenient sharing-wise, and droplr has made it much easier for me. especially for work, I need to take a screenshot and share it with colleagues 5+ times a day, and more often then not need to do some markings on it, with droplr it all takes two clicks.
This used to my top screenshot/screencast tool but something happened recently with their latest update. Functionality is much worse - you should be able to use a keyboard shortcut to select your area for screenshot/cast but now you have to open up the app and it takes more clicks and valuable time. The whole workflow for marking up your Drops got worse too, way too many clicks and slow. Upload time for screencasts are horrendous (30 minutes for a 5 minute screencast?), and support sucks. My advice until they fix these issues, checkout Zight (used to be CloudApp). It's got everything you need for screenshots and simple screencasting, and works like a charm like Droplr used to. Sad.
