Drugs Forum is one of only two online drug harm reduction-related forums that I would be happy to recommend to others. I will compare my thoughts on both as honestly as I can. But in the end both Drugs Forum and Bluelight are the best of the best when it comes to online harm reduction forums.
Community size: Bluelight has a larger community, with over 500,000 members and 10 million posts. In contrast, Drugs-Forum has around 300,000 members and 5 million posts. A larger community on Bluelight may lead to more diverse opinions and experiences shared.
Content depth: Both forums have extensive archives of drug-related discussions. Bluelight has a broader focus, covering various topics related to drugs, harm reduction, and addiction.
In contrast, Drugs-Forum has a more specific focus on drug discussion, with sections dedicated to specific drugs and their effects.
Moderation: Both forums have moderation teams that enforce community guidelines and rules. Bluelight has a more stringent moderation policy, with a focus on harm reduction and safety. I also feel the staff structure is superior as one thing I have never liked about DF is having a single Administrator.
In contrast, Drugs-Forum has a more relaxed moderation style, allowing for more open discussions.
Usability: Both forums have similar design and navigation features. Bluelight has a more modern design, with a cleaner layout and easier-to-use search functionality. In contrast, Drugs-Forum has a more traditional forum design, with a cluttered layout and less efficient search functionality. However, this has somewhat improved over the past two years, which is great.
Overall, I would be happy to recommend Drugs Forum to anyone in the harm reduction community as it is an extremely valuable HR forum with a load of information that would benefit many.
Bluelight has a larger community and a more modern design, with a stronger focus on harm reduction and safety. In contrast, Drugs-Forum has a more specific focus on drug discussions and a more relaxed moderation style.
Overall Drugs Forum comes in at a sold second choice out of the many drug-related HR forums available today. The only one I would recommend higher is Bluelight for the reasons mentioned above.
But this is just a personal opinion and in the end the better forum for you will depend on your specific needs and preferences, and Drugs Forum has done a damn good job!

I have been waiting on a confirmation email for 5 hours and nothing. I checked the email it is my correct email. They have no help then I can figure out how make a new email nothing..... I have had them resend it a bunch of times I'm about to give up
Excellent source of information and discussion for substances, chemistry, and harm reduction. It has saved countless lives including my own.
Great community. Focused on harm reduction and helping those in need. Been a fan of drugs-forum for many many years.
Boast a vibrating community with informative users and excellent moderation, you’ll find engaging discussions and reliable advise and much more than that!
This site changed my account to a minimal type of thing/not exactly sure what it is supposed to be but I am not allowed to comment on it or make any responses adding that if I give them money my account would get changed back to what it was. I honestly prefer Blue-light, the other drugs forum site.

Drugs-forum.com , at first glance, could be mistaken for a site that glorifies and enables drug use. But dig around a bit and you'll find that this forum, unlike anything else available to the public, is geared towards harm reduction for recurring users, guidance and support for recovering addicts, and a unique community committed to helping one another through the trials and tribulations of substance abuse.
Google any query concerning drug use and your bound to come up with 50+ advertisements for rehabilitation centers, shallow admonishments that read uniformly like "Drugs are bad, stop doing them", and "authoritative sources" peddling scare mongering misconceptions that nearly always end with a paid advertisement for...you guessed it...more rehabilitation centers.
No matter your stance on recreational substance use I'm sure we can all agree that life is valuable, and protecting life is a worthwhile endeavor. I can't put a firm number to the lives saved by way of accurate information pertaining to drug use, encouragement to seek help, and support through the rehabilitation process that can be found on Drugs-forum.com, but I'd certainly bet it's in the hundreds.
The staff and moderators at Drugs-forum.com consist of counselors, verified medical personnel, and no small amount of people who have lived and learned and now seek to assist others.
I've contributed advice and experiences in my own personal drug use over the years to D-F and they've always maintained a professional atmosphere with an emphasis on safety - even where people are talking about abuse, how-to do something in terms of safety, to keep from getting injured, and much, much more. I've seen people convinced to turn their lives around, and there's no better - or more trustworthy - place to get information on any kind of drug or any form of use.
Drugs-Forum is not polluted by today's plague of "experts" and "professionals" who tell you "the science is settled" and "we already know all there is to know" - foolhardy advice at absolute best, and far, far more dangerous at worst, as we've seen with Covid and their absolutely irresponsible knee-jerk response and know-it-all advice. People on D-F do not often put accollades above experience, trial, and studies. This has always been my source, and it's among the most respectable places on the web where drugs are spoken of in ANY context.
Good people, good experiences, sound advice, and lots of lives saved - more than any government sponsored / approved / sanctioned source will ever be able to claim.
I first started my journey here back in 2012. Don't even remember how I found the website, but I'm glad I did.
I was 20 back then (28 now, so it's been a long time... I ought to contribute something lasting here at least, so I decided to do it now).
In 2012 I had been into light opiates (mostly tramadol) for 3 years and was starting to go down the ladder. Thankfully, as years went by and things started to get messy (at 20 y.o. I only had a couple of marijuana experiences, maybe a couple of other stuff, but I was pretty naive and dumb... even got negative reputation for some years) I had the DF community to run into and then read solid advice, et data from drugs and interactions, read withdrawal guides... And an overall pretty solid community of users in itself which are mostly ready to help someone in need.
Even if in person I have always been a lonely one... at least this community has never let me down.
Thank you all around here who try to help the fellow human, even if it's a person on the other side of the world (me I guess... I live far from the opioid epidemic countries, but due to allergies to all NSAIDs -and all kinds of pain- I got into opiates really early in life).
Sincerely... Thank you!!!
Great board when it comes to harm reduction. also very nice admins and mods. keep up the good work!
I am an active member in Drugs Forum (DF) for almost 9 years. Here you can find boards of addiction, forums for every different psychotropic substance and even boards in Dutch and German. DF is a great choice to inform yourself about all drugs and you can have the choice of sharing experiences or read experiences from others. You get informed about dosages, ways and routes of administration and even overdose. There are many validated health professionals who are a great help and guides. Newbies are always welcome from older members - the administrator is always there to help about the forum functional with kindness. Whether you need information about prescription drugs or recreational use, you are sure to find an illuminated board. Harm reduction, how to, do's and don'ts, wikies and much more, all while being able to be yourself. Drugs Forum is the best and biggest web forum, I really loved it from the first day.
Most excellent forum provided vast amount of information and help with various drugs of abuse and common drugs, very friendly staff and members a treasure of resource for this kind of information
I have been a member for many years and I'm just now giving my review. I'm not one to get excited about something and claim it. It takes me some time to warm to things. I have warmed to this site and it's people.
At first I was amazed at how helpful and encouraging everyone was but now I know why. They can relate. On some level everyone has been where you are in regards to drugs. You WILL find someone who understands.
The premise is brilliant and one the United States could learn from. "We know you are going to use drugs, so let's help you use them correctly to reduce harm and injury to yourself and others. " That's it in a nutshell.
I can't imagine my life without this site. I can vent here, laugh here, cry here and encourage other drug addicts here. It doesn't get better than this. Thank you Drugs-Forum!
I came to D-F for answers; I stay because I am finding them.
What a relief!
Thank you,
Krisargent~
Extremely informative site with emphasis on harm reduction and appropriate citations.
I have used this site for 6+ years and continue to keep visiting this page. It's helped me through tons of things in my life, without it, I'm not sure I'd be here.
