We are a committed Mental Health and Wellbeing Training Company providing Mental Health First Aid Training (MHFA accredited) and bespoke courses.
The Tannery, Kirstall Road, LS3 1HS, Leeds, United Kingdom
I recently participated in the two day MHFAider (England) training delivered by Dualism Training (15th and 16th January 2024), which was facilitated by Sue Rosemund. I was particularly struck by the effort Sue put into calling each of the attendees prior to the course start date, to introduce herself, the course and Dualism Training. This was a personal touch I've not received or experienced from any other training provider (usually they only correspond via generic emails), and it definitely made a difference to day one of training as we had all spoken to Sue beforehand making delivery feel relaxed, comfortable and genuine.
The course was well structured, the pace was perfect, and the other attendees were attentive, and genuinely interested, which was evident in our whole group and smaller breakout room discussion groups. There is a lot of content to cover, but Sue expertly guided us through; and I particularly liked and appreciated her honesty, compassion and willingness to seamlessly inter-weave lived experiences as well as scenarios into discussion and roleplay/practice activities.
After day one I was mentally exhausted as I continued to process and review what we’d covered, but excited for day two, and to complete our evening wellbeing task (do something you enjoy for an hour without any distractions). Day 2 whizzed by, and once again Sue skillfully put us at ease, regularly checking on our individual wellbeing, and understanding of course content. Additionally, she stayed online after both days of training to answer questions and chat privately if people wanted to and/or felt they needed to. I would definitely recommend Dualism Training, and I will certainly be undertaking further training with them in the future, once I complete the RSPH Level 3 Award in Mental Health First Aid now that I am eligible.
Finally, I would add that the course materials were excellent, easy to follow and use, and the support and information on the app is very helpful.

My instructor, Sue, is absolutely amazing. During the training, Sue showed me a key, how to talk to my colleague? How to ask right questions and how to recognise a sign of mental health issue. She was very patient and very open. I wish that every instruction is like Sue.

My course was the Mental Health First Aid (on line), my Tutor was Sue Rosemond.
The course was extremely informative and very challenging, but the experience, expertise and knowledge that Sue had in her armoury was second to none.
I have passed all the information on to the necessary people at our company for future training to be carried out via Dualism Training.
Excellent Company and Staff.

Wouldn't have known at all how to approach the conversations, was really informative and interactive, with breakout rooms, questions throughout etc. I have ADHD so I struggle with courses that are just an instructor talking at you so really rated this
In my view the training was excellent because:
1) The trainer had the breadth and depth of knowledge and experience to train in a relaxing and engaging style.
2) Was able to bring the topic to life with lived experiences
3) Made sure every 'student' was included and involved
4) Ensured the pace matched the group's progress
5) Helped to build confidence through knowledge and understanding.
6) Was very happy to take questions at any point
Content was delivered in a concise, professional manner, with all slides etc clearly marked and legible.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dualism for any training requirements.

I recently completed the MHFA Refresher Course with Dualism Training. Sue was an excellent presenter who kept everybody engaged the whole time. With break out groups and time to talk everyone was involved. Throughout the whole time Sue ensured that everyone was comfortable while discussing the serious issues involved in MHFA. I highly recommend this course with Dualism Training.

This was an excellent course - the trainer was superb and really made the course content relevant and memorable for the small group of attendees. She also enabled us to share our existing, and different, levels of personal experience and reasons for participating - which meant that we all learned from each other too. I feel confident about my role as a member of my firm's MHFA team now and there is a real security in knowing that Dualism's support will be there for me going forward.

Fantastic training and instructor. Really galvanised the group and provided opportunity to translate learning into practice. Highly recommended.

Excellent content and well paced. Jane the trainer was fantastic too!

I found the session really useful because we did an overview on what we had previously learnt in our Mental Health training, so it was great to revisit topics, with a prior knowledge and understanding that I did not have first time around. This meant I was already in the correct space. The breakout groups were really useful as well, understanding how others, from different organisations, had put their learning into practice and that we were all on a similar journey.
