Had an amazing experience with my instructor Sophie she was great at finding different ways to teach me when I didn’t u understand and making sure I was confident in my abilities

I genuinely don’t think I could have passed without Sophie — and that’s not me being dramatic (for once!).

From day one, she created such a calm and supportive environment that made a huge difference to my confidence. I was quite an anxious driver, especially with new people and anything test-related, but she completely understood that and never once made me feel silly.

She went above and beyond by arranging mock tests with different instructors to help me get used to the pressure. At the time it felt quite nerve-wracking, but it made such a difference on the actual test day.

Sophie is incredibly patient, encouraging, and explains things in a way that just makes sense — even when I was in full panic mode. She also knows when to have a wee laugh, which really helped take the edge off.

She doesn’t just teach you how to pass your test, she makes sure you become a safe and confident driver for life.

I’m so grateful for all her support — an amazing instructor and I’d recommend her to anyone!

I used Duncan Driving School and had Roisin as my instructor, and I honestly couldn’t recommend her more. I’ve moved around quite a bit and had lessons on and off with different instructors over the past few years, but I was finally able to pass with Roisin’s help.

She was incredibly patient, calm, and reassuring throughout, which really helped with my driving anxiety and gave me the confidence to make independent decisions on the road. She explained everything clearly and really helped me build confidence in my own driving, rather than just teaching me how to pass the test. After struggling with lessons in the past, I finally felt like things started to click.

The driving school was also really professional, and I appreciated the app as it let me track my progress and see what I still had left to learn.

I’m so grateful for all the help and support, and I would highly recommend Roisin to anyone looking for a driving instructor!

I did ~50 hours of driving lessons. 90% of which were with Donald from Duncan’s Driving School. From the first lesson Donald was extremely attentive, and taught in a way that reflected my learning style. He was punctual, very on the ball, and made the whole experience very enjoyable. Towards the end of the 50 hours he would pick up on small tweaks to make which helped refine my driving further. I passed first time with two minor driving faults and the examiner thanked me for a good drive. All credit to Donald. If you’re looking for a driving school, these are your guys.

Finally made it over the last hurdle to becoming an Approved Driving Instructor! I can’t thank Tam and the team at Duncan’s Driving School enough. It’s a challenging process but Duncan’s Driving School supported me all the way. Brilliant to be part of such a welcoming team. Training was excellent and no question was ever left unanswered. Even right up to test date I was able to tap into the teams expertise and I’ve no doubt that I wouldn’t have got through had it not been for Tam and the teams help. I’d thoroughly recommend Duncan’s if you are thinking about starting, or already on the road to becoming an ADI.

i passed my driving test first time all thanks to Donald! From the first lesson donald was so friendly and helpful and structured all lessons to cover everything i needed to know. I honestly cannot recommend Sophie highly enough. From my very first lesson she was kind, calm and incredibly patient. She created such a supportive environment which made a massive difference to my confidence behind the wheel.

After I failed my second test I felt really disheartened and close to giving up, but Sophie never once let me doubt myself. She encouraged me, kept me focused and helped me rebuild my confidence step by step.

What meant the most to me was how she took the time to understand how my ADHD brain works. She adapted her teaching style to suit me, explained things in a way that clicked, and never made me feel rushed or judged. That level of understanding and professionalism is rare.

I had an amazing experience learning to drive with Tam. He is a brilliant instructor, very calm and chilled but always fully focused on helping you improve. From the very first lesson, he made me feel confident and at ease behind the wheel.
Tam is incredibly patient and explains everything clearly, which really helped me build my skills without feeling pressured or stressed. Even when I made mistakes, he stayed supportive and made sure I understood how to improve.

I had my lessons with Lara and I could not recommend her more, so grateful she was my instructor. Always very calm and put me at ease and explained everything in a way I would understand.
