Absolutely the worst customer service…

Absolutely the worst customer service we have ever had to deal with in our life! (70 years old) we have call the customer service number repeatedly for 4 days and a live person has yet to answer up. An automated person takes your message and cell number, but never returns your call.

Update to my previous review

Update to my previous review dated 15 April 2026

I’ve had an extremely frustrating experience with DuraWeather Poly since last review, and unfortunately, it’s left me completely dissatisfied with their service yet again.

The most glaring issue is the near-total lack of customer support. Attempting to call them is an exercise in patience — the phone rings for an unreasonably long time with no answer. Today alone, I tried calling three separate times, and each attempt resulted in the same outcome: endless ringing with no response. It gives the impression that customer inquiries simply aren’t a priority.

Equally disappointing is their failure to respond to text messages. In an age where businesses are expected to be accessible across multiple communication channels, ignoring texts entirely is unacceptable. It feels like there’s no reliable way to reach anyone, which is especially frustrating when you need timely assistance.

There is also no option to chat online or reach support through any alternative channel. The only contact method provided is a single phone number, which appears to be a mobile number. This, combined with the lack of responsiveness, gives the impression of a very small, informal operation without a structured customer service system in place.

While small businesses can certainly provide excellent service, in this case the absence of basic support channels makes it difficult to have confidence in the company.

Beyond communication issues, this lack of responsiveness creates a broader sense of unreliability. When a company cannot be reached or fails to acknowledge customers, it erodes trust and raises concerns about how they handle other aspects of their service.

Overall, my experience has been one of complete dissatisfaction. Poor communication, lack of accountability, and unresponsiveness make it difficult to recommend DuraWeather Poly to anyone. On the basis noted above, I DON’T HAVE TRUST IN THE PRODUCT THEY REPRESENT/SELL. AS SUCH I HAVE REQUESTED VIA TEXT AS THIS IS THE ONLY FORM OF COMMUNICATION, TO PROVIDE ME WITH A FULL REFUND OF MY ORDER AS MY ORDER (as of 29 April 2026) HAS YET TO ENTER PRODUCTION. IF THERE IS ONE RECOMMENDATION I CAN MAKE, IT WOULD BE: that they need to improve upon their customer service accessibility and responsiveness if they want to retain customer confidence.

I was looking at Duraweather despite the reviews, but ultiumately decided not to purchase and look elsewhere. I wanted two regular king size chairs and two with footrests and cup holders and also an end table. None of them had the same color grey available. Grey (wood grain) Cottage light grey and light grey. Some colors said (wood grain) others did not. They don't have the same colors across the board between chairs and end tables. I called customer service three times, but each time I got someone whose first language wasn't english and I couldn't understand a thing they were saying. I wanted a set that wouldn't be mismatched with the color and possibly the wood grain look. After the third call I gave up. Going to look elsewhere at other brands.

Hi there,

Thank you for sharing your experience, and we truly appreciate you considering DuraWeather. We completely understand how important it is to have matching colors and finishes when selecting outdoor furniture, especially for a full set.

Please note that color availability can vary because our products are built across different warehouses, and each facility carries its own selection of designs and colors. As much as we would love to offer every color across all items, availability is unfortunately limited per location, which can result in some variations between chairs and tables.

Additionally, we offer both wood grain and non-wood grain (smooth finish) options. If a color is listed without “wood grain,” it means the item has a smooth, solid finish rather than the textured wood-look.

We also sincerely apologize for the difficulty you experienced when contacting our customer service team. We understand how important clear communication is, and we will take your feedback seriously to improve our support experience.

Thank you again for your time and feedback—we truly appreciate it.

Hi Thomas,

We would like to clarify a few points.

We have responded to your email regarding your order and provided your tracking number. As of Tuesday, your order is in transit.

We also want to assure you that we are not a scam company. We have an active customer service team available via both email and phone to assist with any concerns.

Please note that requests for updates or shipment details may take 1–2 business days to process. This is because our production team operates on a limited schedule for inquiries, as they are simultaneously focused on building and shipping orders.

We appreciate your patience and understanding, and we remain here to assist you with any further questions.

DuraWeather Team

Beware of this company

Beware of this company! I ordered 4 chairs on March 31rst. Soon after I ordered the chairs I received a text confirming my order and stating they would be shipped on May 30th! 2 months for shipping! WOW not going to work for me. So I immediately texted back and said "that shipping date doesn't work for me, just cancel the order". It was maybe 2 hours after I placed an order. Rachelle called me immediately and told me that to cancel I had to email them. Ok , no problem. I sent the email right then. Immediately I received an email from Danica that said I can cancel the order however there would be a 15% cancellation fee! What! I just ordered them 2 hours ago. I replied for her to yes cancel the order but no I would not be paying a cancellation fee , I had just placed the order and it was because of their 2 month shipping time that I was going to cancel the order. She has not responded! 3 days and 5 emails and 1 phone call and they will not respond. I've had to start a compliant response with my credit card company. This all has been extremely time consuming because this company refuses to respond to me. Very predatory and I warn others to beware.

Hi there,

We completely understand your request to cancel the order, and we want to clarify that we did not deny your cancellation. We are more than willing to honor it.

However, regardless of when the order was placed or when the cancellation was requested, we are required to follow our company’s cancellation policy. As such, a 15% cancellation fee must be applied.

Please also note that prior to purchase, the estimated lead time is clearly indicated on our website to provide transparency on the production and shipping timeline. This helps set proper expectations on when an order will be shipped.

We have responded to your email regarding the cancellation and the applicable fee, and this is documented on our end. While we truly understand your concern and would prefer to process a full refund without any deductions, this is not something we’re able to waive, as we must adhere to company policy.

We appreciate your understanding.

Never Ships Product

Never Ships Product. I ordered a bar set on Feb 15th. It's March 30th - and it hasn't shipped. The customer service absolutely is horrible. It takes over 48 hours to get back to you - primarly just email support. They then have a crooked policy of 15% cancelation fee if you cancel your order? Doesn't matter if they over a month late. Maybe they are fine for chairs, I don't know - that's what reviews seem to be about that are happy with the experience.

Hi there,

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and frustration this experience has caused.

Your order was originally scheduled within the lead time of March 9–March 19. Unfortunately, there was an unexpected delay of one week due to a medical situation on our production team’s end. While we always strive to meet our timelines, there are circumstances beyond our control that can impact production schedules.

At the time of your request, your order was already at the dock and ready to scheduled for pickup. However, we understand your decision, and per your request, we have coordinated with production to proceed with the cancellation.

Please note that a 15% cancellation fee applies, as all of our products are made to order and built specifically according to each customer’s preferences. Because of this customization, the items cannot easily be resold to another customer. The materials, labor, and production time invested into each order are the reasons this policy is in place.

Regarding communication, we aim to respond within 24–48 hours. Due to a high volume of orders and inquiries combined with a temporary staffing shortage, there may be slight delays, but please know that we always provide updates as soon as information becomes available.

We truly appreciate your patience and understanding, and we’re very sorry we were not able to meet your expectations on this occasion.

Excessively long wait for product

Excessively long wait for product, well beyond the estimated delay and required multiple follow-ups. Money taken when order placed and 2 months waiting. Assembly of glider is a nightmare, the pieces don’t fit together well. Are the positive reviews the result of a promotion?

Hey Ann, thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify that all of our products have individual lead times, which are clearly listed on our website before an order is placed. This allows customers to review the expected production timeframe and decide whether they would like to proceed with the purchase.

We sincerely apologize if your experience did not meet expectations. If there were any concerns regarding the lead time or the assembly of the glider, we would have been more than happy to assist and coordinate with our production team to address the issue.

Please also note that assembly experiences can vary depending on a customer’s familiarity with assembling furniture. Some customers find the process quick and straightforward, while others may take a bit more time depending on their experience and comfort level with assembly.

At this time, we are unable to locate an order under the name associated with this review. If you could please provide your order number and the name used for the order, we would be happy to look into this further and assist you accordingly.

Regarding the reviews, we would also like to assure you that our customer reviews come from verified customers who have purchased and received our products.

An Abysmal Experience

It was an abysmal experience dealing with this company. I haven't had an experience this bad in the many decades I have bought things off of the internet.

They immediately took my money upon placing an order, created a shipping label, and never shipped the table and chairs. Then six weeks went by and nothing was delievered or even advanced under the tracking number. Then when I called them they blamed it on the shipping company which was a lie. Then they changed their story and said it was problem in their factory/production facilty and it would be two more weeks. So I asked to cancel and get a refund. They said not unless I paid a 15% post-production fee. I was never told they were in production. I was never contacted about a delay. I had to call them only to be lied to and be told to "be patient".

Don't expect to get furniture from this company. You will only get delays, lies, and onerous business policies/practices that are meant to rob you of your hard earned money and time!

Wow … how does this Company stay in…

Update 12/10/2025 … good luck finding the manufacturing plants in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Ohio. There are no registered addresses or business filings for Duraweather or the parent company, Patio Surplus LLC. What can be found are import documents from Patio Surplus LLC. Public import databases show Patio Surplus LLC has imported outdoor furniture (including tables, chairs, and seats under HS code 940180) from Chinese suppliers like Foshan Tanfly Furniture Co Ltd and Fuzhou Anchang Labor Protection Pro. These records date back to at least 2025 and involve shipments to their Hertford, NC headquarters. If you take a look at Hertford, NC, it is very close to Norfolk, Va, a busy shipping port. Interestingly enough, my order eventually shipped from Hertford, NC, when I’m located in Minnesota, which is central to the alleged Midwest mfg. I guess you could manufacture in the Midwest and ship to NC, then back to Minnesota. Don’t buy the “made in USA” claim.*** Wow … how does this Company stay in business? My story is similar to most others on poor delivery dates and moving targets. Customer service has been timely in providing the next excuse. I am not too far from one of their proclaimed US mfg locations and will give a visit. After doing some research, I doubt these Adirondack chairs are made in the US and this is the challenge with hitting delivery dates. That in itself is deceiving and may be a path for resolution with the FTC. Only my opinion, but will find out soon.

Good quality terrible delivery and inquiry responses

Well this was our second order from Duraweather on the first order we ordered gliders and I will say the quality was great and we love the chairs, but I do agree with those that stated the assembly instructions were not great. Putting the chairs together wasn’t too difficult but I did have to get help from my handy brother to put the glider pieces on. Would have given them 4-5 stars if I didn’t have issues with our 2nd order.

Well now for our 2nd order not so happy! Ordered them around 9/7/25, was charged on 9/8/25 and received a notice from Shop, where I track shipments, that a label was created and to expect on 9/14/25 so contacted Duraweather on 9/17/25 and they did respond in a few days stating that they had until 10/25/25 according to the estimated shipping dates and they create the labels as soon as possible so they can be ready to ship when the items are complete. I get that but we were supposed to receive the folding chairs by 10/13/25 and the counter height chairs by 10/25/25. Contacted them again on 10/10/25 heard nothing, followed up on 10/16/25 they replied on Friday, 10/17/25 saying they would check with production team and let me know where they were at by Monday or Tuesday, well it is now 10/24/25, a week later, and I haven’t heard a word. Supposed to receive the chairs by tomorrow and FedEx still is showing they are waiting on the shipment. This has been one of the most frustrating ordering experiences I have had and at this point I just want to cancel and get a refund but guessing that won’t happen given the website states they charge a restock fee so not sure how much recourse I have except to complain here and report to the BBB.

So if you are in absolutely no hurry and don’t expect responses to emails the chairs are very nice, or at least the 2 we have so far were very nice.

No response still, no parts delivered

Ordered two folding adirondack chairs, one arrived no issued, the second was lacking pieces. Immediately contacted Duraweather and received a response that they would ship the parts, about 8 weeks later now - no parts, no more email responses and they don't answer the phone. Reported to BBB.
UPDATED, We have not received an email from Duraweather since 9/2/25, no email received last week as they note in their response. We did ask for a credit and a UPS call tag to pick up the broken chair, no response to that email either.

Hi there,

We sincerely apologize for the continued delay. As mentioned in our email sent last week, we are still waiting for the poly lumber material, which is expected to arrive around the first week of November.

The delay is due to back orders and the current peak season, which have affected material availability. Once we receive the materials, we will ship the replacement as soon as possible.

We truly appreciate the customer’s patience and understanding as we work to resolve this matter promptly.

As mentioned last week, your order was scheduled for shipment early this week. You reached out to us on Monday around 7:45 PM, but please note that our office hours are from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST.

The Bill of Lading (BOL) has already been provided via email as proof that your order has been shipped. We are currently waiting for the tracking number to be updated in the carrier’s system, as this information is sometimes posted with a slight delay.

We’ve also confirmed with you multiple times whether you would like to proceed or cancel, and you chose to proceed with the order. We appreciate your patience as we finalize the tracking details. Please allow at least a couple of days for the carrier’s update, as we work with a third-party logistics provider whose system updates are not within our control.

Thank you for your understanding, and we’ll share the tracking details as soon as they become available.

Best regards,

Hi there,

We’re very sorry for the inconvenience and understand how frustrating this situation has been. Please know that the lead times on our website are estimated and not exact.

For smaller shipments via FedEx, USPS, or UPS, transit time from our NC warehouse is typically 3–4 business days. However, your order is a 9-piece dining set, which ships via LTL Freight rather than parcel service. LTL carriers follow fixed truckload schedules and terminal routes, with a standard transit time from NC to TX of 4–7 business days.

Your order was placed on September 30 at 10 PM, and we received it on October 1. Production and wrapping generally take 1–2 days before scheduling a carrier pick-up, which falls within the October 1–3 lead time window shown on our site. While we would love to have met your requested delivery date, expedited shipping isn’t available through LTL freight.

We have offered the option to either proceed with shipment on the carrier’s next available schedule or to cancel the order if the timing does not work for you. While we would love to meet your requested date, Friday delivery simply isn’t possible with this type of freight service.
