Disappointing Experience

Having reviewed their portfolio on line and visited their premises in Tunbridge Wells, I booked with Dynamic Modifications for a de-chrome of the window surrounds of my recently purchased BMW 3 Series Touring.

On leaving the car with them I was given a date for collection. However, on the day and just as I was arriving at the workshop, I received a phone call to say that the work had not yet been started. When the vehicle was eventually ready I was very disappointed with the quality of the work that had been undertaken. One of the main concerns was damage that had been done to the rubber surround to a rear side window. It looked as if it had been cut through and then forced back in on itself leaving an unsightly mess. The comment by Dynamic Modifications that it was like it when it arrived at their premises, was not correct as the car had only just been purchased and had been thoroughly inspected then. Damage of this nature would certainly have been seen at that time. Other areas de-chromed had untidy joins, gaps and sections where the covering was peeling away. Overall, the end result looked shoddy and unprofessional and certainly not up to the standard expected.

After many weeks and several emails to Dynamic Modifications I have received no response to my complaints and request for a refund of the payment made together with the cost of replacing the damaged rubber surround. As a result I have had to have the work redone elsewhere, which incidentally was excellently and very professional undertaken, at extra cost to myself.

I have continued to follow up over the past months but no response is ever forthcoming.

Overall a very disappointing and expensive experience with a company that clearly does not value or respect its customers.

Poor response when notified of a serious issue

If I don’t like a service I would ordinarily not say anything. But in this instance I feel the potential users of services that can cost a lot of money need a heads up. So I placed my car in for a full ppf, ceramic coat, caliper colour change and decals. The price is decent as I received a discount being member of a local Supercar club. The detailing guy is amazing. However, my ppf is patchy in areas, the calliper colour on one side was poorly executed and had to be done again, which was at my request even though it was clearly poorly done. My calliper label fell off, was not replaced by them. Decals have peeled But the Piece de resistance was that my rear wheel was not properly fitted after I had spacers added which resulted in me finding out that 3 wheel bolts had come off and with one more loose it was only held on by the locking bolt.
Dynamics response was to apologise and do nothing, promise to replace my wheel bolts and then do nothing. I gave them a few chances to rectify but they did nothing.
I have a new car coming and needless to say it certainly won’t be heading to Dynamic.

Poor customer communication

I have booked my car in on the 27th February for a full wrap / ceramic coating, and have originally been quoted that the works would take 7 days. It has now been 3 weeks, and I am yet to collect the vehicle. Delays happen; however, the biggest issue in dealing with Dynamic Modifications has been in constant misleading communications from their end. Instead of proactive communication from the company informing of the delay, I had to continuously chase for updates. Each time the update was that the car was nearly ready, only to then be contradicted by the follow up that there was still more works to be done. The company has confirmed vehicle collection dates on three separate occasions, only to then inform me on the day of the collection that the car is not yet ready.

As I still haven't been able to collect my car I can't comment on the quality of works, but would recommend to avoid the company based on customer experience.
