Dynaudio dealerships breaching Consumer Rights Act

Beware of dealerships selling Dynaudio speakers in breach of the Consumer Rights Act.
I was about to purchase a pair of £6,499 Dynaudio Focus speakers from a branch in Leeds when I received the below email;
“ Please note that while we do stock Dynaudio, this particular range (Focus) is not part of our regular product line up and is brought in as a special order item. As such, it falls outside of our standard returns policy, and we are unfortunately unable to accept returns or offer refunds on special order items.
Please can you confirm you understand the above and knowing this you are happy to proceed with the order.

To refuse to accept returns or offer refunds on products they have sold is a direct breach of the Consumer Rights Act and Dynaudio should not use such dealerships to sell their products!

Stay well clear!!

Sound on my Xeo 2s are good. When things work, they are great. However - things started to go downhill just weeks after installing; mostly Bluetooth connectivity issues. Switching between sources works like 75-80% of the time - IF only one unit is connected. Any more, you're doomed. Also - it suddenly loses connection, and you have to set it all up again, including removing pairing. I have several other devices, that almost never fails, (a cheap JBL has never ONCE disconnected, or given me ANY problems), across several different devices; both Samsung and Apple.)

Will never buy again!

Bought a set of new Emit 50s of Amazon…

Bought a set of new Emit 50s of Amazon in February, they were sold and shipped from the Audio Advisor store. Upon setup I noticed one grill corner did not fit flush and had a noticeable gap. I then emailed Dynaudio customer support. They responded in two days asking for a picture. I sent a couple of pictures and they responded saying that the grill would be covered by the warranty. Shipped the replacement grill within two days. That's is great product support from a great company.

Service Quality Declines Under New Ownership

The product quality is maybe still fine. It's important to note that the service is deeply disappointing, especially for those with older speaker models. I contacted them requesting a wiring scheme for an older product, and they flatly refused to provide it, which was incredible. The lack of support for these models seriously undermines their commitment to customer care. Furthermore, it appears that since the company was taken over by a Chinese firm, the standards have noticeably declined. This experience indicates that the company is moving away from the reputable business practices it once followed.

A friend got me into high-fidelity…

A friend got me into high-fidelity audio years ago and I started to build around a small handful of brands in my A/V setup. Dynaudio is a highlight of that experience. Amazing craftsmanship, quality, and experience.

The speakers are good but the customer…

The speakers are good but the customer service stinks. I needed and still need several things from this company which come under customer service. I talked to one employee who was to get back to me after a trade show he was attending. Two weeks later I called again and he said he was still at the trade show and basically "don't bother me again". Contacted the customer service website on another matter and they electronically stated they would get back. Nope... I have two sets of their speakers but will never buy another.

Arrogant and contemptuous…

Most appalling customer services and communications for a prestige company…
Having spent over €120,000 on Dynaudio speakers in recent years, I don’t expect better service than anyone else, I just expect some response. And it’s not the first time.
Dynaudio firstly make it a very difficult task to contact them, leaving open only an online messaging service. I have contacted them several times for advice on a number of issues I have experienced with their products, from XEO30s to Confidence 50s - not a single reply was received.
I have a number of sets of XEO30s in high-end rental properties I own, none of which work through the Wi-fi Connect box - the most clunky Wi-fi connection I have come across with unintelligible instructions in English.
Perhaps Dynaudio believes their product is so good they don’t need to provide customer support - it isn’t, and I will be swapping for other brands just as good (Focal, B&W, etc.)
