I originally bought this just to shade our outdoor dining set, but now our dog spends half his afternoon sleeping under it, and my wife works on her laptop out here every morning. We've had it up for about 2 months now and are outside twice as much as before. It's rare for a outdoor purchase to change daily routines this much.

I placed my order on a Sunday and was surprised to receive a ship notice the next day and received my pergola on Tuesday. I was very impressed with the packaging. All the parts were in great shape with the exception of one part that was slightly bent I was able to straighten. Everything was easy to assemble and fit and finish was very good, especially for the price. The lighting was not clear on the website so I was pleased to see the downlights over the countertop, the spotlights to light the grill and the colorful lighting on the roof beams. One suggestion I would have for Eagle Patio would be to move the assembly of the pegboard panels, step 19, to prior to bolting the frame to the ground. With the uprights fixed to the ground it was difficult to place one of the panels between the posts.

We had family over for a Sunday barbecue last weekend, and right in the middle of dinner, a sudden light shower started. Instead of panicking and moving everything inside, we just closed the louvers. Everyone stayed completely dry, and we finished our meal outside. It was the first time our patio actually felt like an extension of our home.

Just got the pergola put together by myself, great product, excellent packing, the communication throughout the entire process and delivery has been awesome. The customer service team goes above and beyond what was expected. I highly recommend Eagle patio products to everyone, I would definitely purchase from again.

We went through 3 different patio umbrellas over the last two years before deciding on a permanent pergola. Our yard gets strong wind gusts, and umbrellas just weren't cutting it. The 10x12 Eagle Patio gives us solid, worry-free shade without the constant hassle of opening and closing flimsy umbrellas every time the wind picks up. Glad we finally made the switch!

Final Review - 4.5 Stars

I spent a good amount of time researching every style and type of pergola for my outdoor kitchen before deciding on the Eagle N5 Plus. All-in, I am very happy with my decision. It is a classy-looking, high-quality product that is also very functional. It does an excellent job providing shade and performs equally well during heavy rain. The gutter system is smartly designed and works very well.

I like the way the hand crank operates the louvers and actually prefer it to the electric models because of the simplicity. You do need to apply a little additional pressure when turning the crank in one direction, so I’ll be sure to lubricate it periodically. Two of the louvers at one end seem to fit a little tighter than the rest, and there doesn’t appear to be a way to adjust them. That could be related to my installation, though, and everything seems to work just fine.

The product was very well packaged and arrived completely undamaged. It took about two full hours just to unpack everything and another 6–8 hours to install, so I think the two-hour installation claim is unrealistic. That said, I’m a perfectionist, went slowly, and did most of the installation myself, with my wife helping only when needed.

Overall, I’d give it 4.5 stars—mainly because the product itself is excellent and because the customer service team was responsive and didn’t make excuses for the delivery issues. I’m glad I stayed with my decision to purchase the Eagle pergola and would make the same choice again.

Updated Review – Raised to 3 Stars

I’m raising my earlier one-star review to three stars based on how Eagle Patio’s staff handled the situation.

The team was responsive, fully owned the delivery problems, acknowledged the inconvenience, and never made excuses. They followed up consistently, which mattered a lot.

Even after the delivery company cancelled a second scheduled delivery, the Eagle Patio staff responded the same way—professional and accountable. I was ready to cancel the order but decided to give them one more chance because of how management and the team handled things.

The product was finally delivered yesterday within the promised window. They did not call ahead as they said they would, but fortunately I was home.

I’ve had to reschedule the installation because of the delays. I’ll update this review again once I’ve unpacked everything and the pergola is installed.

The original delivery timeline wasn't followed, and when delivery was finally scheduled for today, the shipping company "rolled" me to another day without notifying me.

I wasted a whole day waiting for them.

When I called Eagle Patio, the representative spoke in a way I could not understand, would not speak clearly despite several requests and would not connect me to a supervisor.

Terrible customer service regarding delivery. I hope they respond in a positive way and I will edit my review.

Originally ordered the pergola, a sunscreen, and installation service on Apr. 30. The pergola and sunscreen arrived May 12. Contacted customer service many times to get a confirmation date for the installation service - but the installers were apparently too busy to reply. I finally ended up asking to cancel the installation service and did the installation myself with a couple of my friends. Installation was very straightforward due to excellent instruction manual. Customer service finally refunded my installation on Jun 5 and even gave me additional credit due to inconvenience. I would recommend the Eaglepatio pergola as it is very well built and should last a lifetime. However, I would not recommend getting their installation service as they were not responsive, and installation was not too difficult with 3 people helping.

I had been stalling making a decision on purchase, and a great sales person talked me through it, and due to it being the Memorial Day weekend, offered a discount I couldn't refuse. Upon shipping, one of the boxes came dented, and I was concerned about the condition of the materials inside. Marjorie in customer service was AMAZING! She continued to contact me and follow up with me as to the status of the box. Luckily, my installer opened the box and everything inside was not damaged. The packing quality was stellar. I would HIGHLY recommend Eagle Patio to anyone looking at their products.

The pergola is exactly as pictured, and assembly was a breez.
