Our mission and central aim at Eagles Height International School is to promote Excellence in Mathematics Education. We provide a coherent and balanced Mathematics curriculum offering both breadth and depth, called The T- Model. The T- Model curriculum broadens students’ knowledge base whilst deepening their understanding. Through this approach, we aim to hone students’ natural talents and abilities in this important subject. With the level of demand and competition running at an all-time high to access high-performing schools and sixth-form provision, Russell Group Universities, notwithstanding, it is paramount that your child receives first-class tuition. Eagles Height could help to propel your child into the top 10 percent of any selection process. We are based in an ultramodern building located in West Norwood, South London which provides a conducive environment for learning. Our teachers are expert Mathematicians who are well motivated to inspire and drive each student to reach their full potential. We aim to work with individuals to deepen their knowledge, skills, and understanding and thereby building self-confidence whilst nurturing a ‘can do growth mindset. Our secondary school (KS3/4) programme is organised into the following groupings with students being allocated to a group based on their ability/work ethic rather than age or year group (see overleaf). We conduct internal mid-term and end-of-term assessments to ascertain whether students have grasped the concepts taught and are making the expected progress to enable them to move up to a higher set. GCSE Preparation: Foundation Class 1 & 2 (F1/2) - For students who are working at the expected level by the end of the Foundation 2 programme is predicted to obtain Grade B (Grade 6) in GCSE Mathematics. Essential Class 1 & 2 (E1/2) - At this level, on completion of our E2 program, students working at the expected level are predicted to achieve Grade A (Grade 7). Higher Class (H) - In this group, students are stretched through extension work to the required GCSE syllabus. Almost all the students in this group will go on to study A-Level Maths. At the end of the higher (H) programme, students are expected to obtain Grade A* (Grade 9). A-Level Preparation: The A- Level Mathematics syllabus is taught in a group of up to 5 students to ensure each student receives maximum attention and personalised support. 13+ Program: This is a targeted Maths programme for students seeking to gain admission into Year 9 in Independent Schools (Day School our Boarding). The curriculum covers Day School Exams and ISEB Common Entrance Exams levels 1,2,3 and Scholarship. A Specialist Maths tutor teaches the course over an intensive: 20-week Curriculum (September to January) for Day Schools/ Scholarships or a 36- week Curriculum (September to May) for Common Entrance/Scholarship. Our 13+ preparation is suitable for students who are interested in applying to any of the following highly sought-after schools: Dulwich College Trinity School Whitgift JAGs Alleyns Eton College Westminster School Harrow School Tonbridge School Winchester Brighton College King’s Wimbledon City of London St Paul’s
