If I could put zero stars I would. Waste of money and time and wouldn’t even give a full refund. I had them for 11 days. It was constantly buffering the first four days running only one tv and constantly having to turn on and off and reset then having the hardest time reconnecting. For the rest of the 11 days before I canceled it was progressively worse and stopped working all together. They charged my card for the month after 6 days and all data was used in a matter of 7 days just trying to get the thing connected. I had to fight to get half a months bill refunded and they were not nice about it. Save yourself the trouble and use anyone els but these scammers.

Here we are again. I’ve now been charged twice for a router that I returned a month ago or more. I was assured this situation was dealt with by two separate individuals but nope, I just paid another $433 for equipment I never even wanted in the first place. 1/10 star experience from one get go.
Update to the situation: Yes, I was in fact successfully charged and still have not been credited the $433. I’m mostly writing this at this point to let future customers know the level of service they’ll get if they decide to use this company.

I've been with this company since the 90s. I've had very little issues with it--just lots of spam. Now for some reason I am suddenly experiencing very poor customer service. Problems that's usually resolved with one phone call now takes two months. Over billing and claims system for reimbursement is broken. They also charge customers for late payments caused by their broken system. Im now trying to figure out how to possibly keep my email addresses and leave this company.

They deserve 0 stars nearly a month has gone by since requesting new service. They activated a router l did not receive, and threatened to charge me $400 for not returning it. Then charged me for service they did not provide while l was waiting for another router to arrive. Customer service long wait times and not helpful. Still no service and refuse to refund my money when l cancelled

After moving to Southport to work remotely, I compared the various internet services. It is a good monthly rate plus the 2 months reduced rate. Besides working online, we use the service for phone, alexa wi-fi and tv streaming. The only issue is I am rarely kicked out of my vpn connection, and as I compare it to my local residence service near Washington DC that I travel to regularly, it happens maybe slightly more often (could be unrelated to service, though). Streaming tv is essentially flawless. Highly recommended.

Wish I could leave 0 stars. Their service was half way decent, but not nearly enough data so I sent back their router a month ago. And they tried to charge me $450 even though I have a tracking label with tracking number that shows it was returned and received by them. Very shady. I reported them to my bank, and I’ll be reporting to the bbb if it goes to collections.

Absolutely worst experience. I signed up for Direct tv after some issues with Comcast. I was immediately signed up with Earthlink via Direct tv.
I signed up for 5G with unlimited data - stating on their website no "buffering", no "throttling". I read the contract thoroughly.
After about a week the internet was dropping,throttling, etc. When I chatted with Earthlink I was told pretty much that I had to pay an ADDITIONAL $20.00 per day for more "data". What the??? When I explained that I was using the plan with unlimited I was told by them that I just didn't understand how it works. Oh, really???
So, until I could get back Comcast, I had to pay an additional $20.00 per day for a week just in order to get internet service for work. So, you do the math... $78.00 monthly and another $100.00 for crap service. Oh and then there's the non-refundable shipping of crap modem.
After calling 866 number to get a label to return equipment I told them I expected them to honor their
30-day money back guarantee. Cust. rep. asked me to reference the 30-money back policy. As I was
looking for the paperwork, I was disconnected. Which according to this review website and several others
is something that happens often.... I guess after a while they just get sick and tired of hearing the complaints and hang up on you. And I just don't have the time/patience to deal with them again because I know they are going to be difficult. Direct TV, on the other hand, was wonderful with their end of the refund.
Save yourself A LOT of frustration... be sure to find another internet provider... and be sure if you sign up for Direct TV that they don't automatically set up Earthlink. WORST COMPANY EVER.
I have disputed via my credit card but I don't expect any type of reimbursement because they are so dishonest and corrupt that they will never refund. I don't plan on paying the bill even if/when they reverse the dispute. They can take me to court, they can try ruining my credit but I REFUSE to pay for such a dishonest service.

I really thought I hit a good deal !! Unlimited home internet for 80$ and no wires. Boy i was wrong. I guess Unlimited in Earthlinks book is 500 gigabytes after that you have to pay something like a dollar a gig to add data. I only have a TV and two phones also and this was not good for me I endeded up paying my 80$ plus about 150$ more in added data. Mediacom is where it is at for high speed data but, you have wires and thier.like 140 a month.

Please do not sign up. Earthlink is a predatory service that runs on the back of Verizon's network. I'm not sure how this is legal. You will get the same service from verizon for cheaper. Earthlink is a predatory service. They promise you gift cards while signing up but never deliver and they charge a hefty fee to cancel. BUYER BEWARE!!!
