5-Star Review for Easipetcare Streatham…

5-Star Review for Easipetcare Streatham
If I could leave 1000 reviews.. I would!

I want to give a massive thank you to the entire team at Easipetcare Streatham. I had an emergency last night with my little bubbah (my cat), and the whole team rallied around us instantly.

I’ve been to many vets over the years, and nothing comes close to how genuinely these guys care for your animals. Their compassion, professionalism, and the way they treated my cat as if she were their own was unbelievable.

Thank you for always putting animals first — it truly shows.
10/10 would absolutely recommend.

Pets health held at ransom

I have been with this vets for the past couple of years since moving into the area. The best thing about this surgery is the receptionists which i can say are hands down amazing and so so sweet with the animals. In terms of veterinary care, it’s rare you will see a qualified vet and instead a veterinary nurse whilst paying premium costs. My cat had a long term health condition but they insist on seeing her and taking blood despite this causing my cat huge levels of distress (she’s an elderly frail house cat) i have explained this on multiple occasions, not to mention ruin the fact that it’s £250 per blood test even if they change her medication by just 1mg. Without the blood test and consultation (around £340) they refuse to re-prescribe the lifesaving medication my cat needs. When i challenged them on this saying it feels like I’m being held ransom to keep my cat well, i had a very young, arguably inexperienced veterinary nurse suggest that i should ‘surrender’ my 17yr old cat to ‘someone that can afford her’. As an NHS worker, the suggestion of this goes against all what we stand for. There was no consideration to perhaps looking into a cheaper option, a different vet, a subsidised service etc. the answer was essentially ‘just give her up’. Which to me is wildly ignorant given how full the shelters are in London, quite shocking advice from veterinary staff in a London clinic. I won’t lie, given my high running emotions i lost my ability to see sense and told her what i thought of this idea and just left. Since then i have not been provided with the lifesaving medication prescription that my elderly cat needs which kind of goes to show that again, services from this vet are subject to random and are not based on ethics or the animal’s best interest. On this basis, i would strongly suggest you find an alternative. The reception ladies are so wonderfully kind that you’d be fooled into thinking this attitude and philosophy runs through the whole surgery but that’s not the case. When the vet told me i should give up the cat if i couldn’t afford the vet fees, i tearfully challenged back that perhaps they should instead consider lowering the fees given how extortionate they are - she said she doesn’t set the prices AKA “computer says no”. Really easy answer, jobsworth.
Rightly or wrongly, having been an NHS worker for 15+years, there’s situations in which you do everything you can to help and tiptoe around the red tape. This sugary won’t do that for you. If you aren’t middle class with a regular, steadily high income, don’t bother. No one needs their animals treatment to be held at ransom because you don’t have a few hundred quid just sitting in your back pocket to hand over.
Give them a wide birth.

The different branches don't work together and Streatham brach changes vaccination policies during the course of the first puppy vaccinations

The different branches done work together in a string of puppy vaccinations, which one is not told on the telephone when booking the appointment/ changes within the string of first vaccinations. Each branch has different time scales as to when each vaccination is to be administered, which is worrying. Streatham branch awful and
rude on the phone. Dartford brach all staff really sweet and friendly.

Easipetcare Streatham.

Easipetcare Streatham.
Terrible attitude, didn’t wven eant to examine my dog, she was lethargic and not eating, the vet Andrew was more interested in telling us off, asking us if we had insurance and touring for his own company. He said our dog had bad teeth, felt her stomach and said she was not in pain, less than 48 hours later my much loved 7 year old dog was dead, he also told us she was getting old, really. Jasmine the next day told us our dog was severely dehydrated and in pain, and not to give her the medication Andrew had prescribed, he had given hef a metacam injection and also an anti sickness jab, dogs should not receive metacam if they are dehydrated or have sickness, Jasmine advised us to do a bloody test, she pulled at Poppys skin and looked at her gums and said she was severely dehydrated even though I was giving her water constantly, the blood tests showed my dog had kidney failure, dogs with kidney problems should not take metcam, shame on you Andre and shame on easipetcare, my dog is now dead. I would never use this vets again, it’s a disgrace and they should be shut down, negligence, my poor dog.

traumatising experiance. NEVER. AGAIN.

had an awful experiance. Took my 12 week old kitten to get a check from the vets for a second opinion due to concerns with drinking, sneezing and a little bump on her head.
we were seen by the vet named konstantin and my kitten was being brutalised and I wish I was exaggerating. he was extremely rough and careless and showed zero compassion whilst pressing hard and squeezing her bump whilst she was screaming. the WORST part was when he had to check her temperature in which he had to stick the thermometer up her bum- he had not lubricated it and had quite literally shoved it inside her with brute force which left her absolutely screaming and I cannot get the screams of her pain out of my head.
he then deducted her bump down to it being a "skull hernia" and a "fractured skull" (?) to which he then said nonchalantly "so what do u want me to do" ,COMPLETELY unprofessional. me and my sister, outstanded at his words and actions, then asked if there's anything that could potentially be done in which he came up with her needing to be sedated, shaved and x-rayed at a price of £700. he said it is "hard to tell" what is wrong with her and literally GOOGLED it in front of us because he didn't even know what he was talking about. he told us he's concerned and that if we care about her we should pay £700. absolutely ridiculous for something that is so obviously a cyst.
he then dismissed my concerns about her sneezing and lack of hydration and focused on the £700 disgnosis he made up.
these vets are extremely money hungry and have no care or regard about these poor animals health.
I then had a panic attack after leaving the room as I was in complete shock after seeing him brutalise her in such a way, and has made me afraid to ever let another vet touch her again. I am quite literally traumatised.
(the receptionists were lovely however and calmed me down)

the owner i had bought her from 2 days prior had shown me a medical report and told me she's been to 2 vets assuring that my kitten has a sebaceous cyst that has been rapidly decreasing in size and was nothing to be worried about.

never in my life have I ever seen such unprofessionalism and complete lack of compassion from a vet in my entire life.

do NOT recommend and I do not think he should be allowed near any animals and should be struck off the job. there are alot of negative reviews about konstantin specifically, says everything you need to know.

I'd like to have my £55 pounds back from my consultation. complete and utter waste of time and money and came out worse off than before.
sticking to the blue cross from now on.

Unfortunately they do not follow basic…

Unfortunately they do not follow basic rules and guidelines, nor do they carry out basic safety checks to ensure that serious and fatal irreversible errors do not happen.

When this is pointed out to them, and after it has cost an innocent pet's life, they do not appear to give any tosses whatsoever about this, which is also deeply worrying.

Subsequently I could not recommend them to anyone.

murdered a healthy dog

Killed a healthy dog when the rescue had duel ownership and would have gladly took the dog back. Just shows you these vets are clueless with rescue dogs. I honestly hope the person who murdered this dog suffers greatly for what you done, you don’t deserve to sleep at night for what you done. All you vets care about is money, whenever an animal needs an extra bit of help you see it as a burden and kill them. Sicko’s!!!

Awful awful vet that resulted in the…

Awful awful vet that resulted in the death of a dog that had already been to hell and back. This is Easipetcare in Streatham London. Dusty was a Romanian rescue who lived with his adopter for 4 years, recently she has developed dementia and Dusty started nipping her. With no tests and because he was terrified in the waiting room they said he needed to be killed and euthanised him. The dog had rescue back up and was dual registered and rescue in process of taking back. This poor dog died unnecessarily. The vets here are young and inexperienced, avoid like the plague.

Useless and expensive

Took my cat to Norbury easipet as he had been nauseous and possibly in pain. Expected a quick check up and some advice. The young, inexperienced vet unnecessarily sedated him to take bloods (he’s alway had bloods taken without issue at his usual vets) which left him groggy and confused for 24 hours. They then charged me £600 for the sedation and blood test without any warning!!. I left without any clearer explanation of what was wrong with him other than ‘his bloods are clear’. When I pushed for a reason why he was unwell the vet said ‘maybe it’s a heart issue - this will be untreatable’. She then tried to get me to book him into a very expensive heart scan despite there being no apparent benefit. I’m booking him into our normal vet next week. Avoid this vet surgery.

Avoid east pet care Norbury

Avoid east pet care Norbury. Took in my dog as an emergency as she had a grass seed in her paw and we were away from home. The vet who examined her said that she had a heart murmur and they would have to operate to remove under general anaesthetic. Took her back to my usual vet examined her on 2 occasions and said no sign of a heart murmur. Felt they were out only to make money and my dog had unnecessary heavy sedation. Gave me anti- biotic sin a paper bag with no box so tgey crumbled as were made damp by air. Charged me £825 for shoddy work.

Awful experience with a vet there

Definitely would never recommend again! The vet who checked my docile 14 year old cat was brutal! So rough and couldn’t care! Showed no care, compassion, empathy. Unprofessional in his checks and unprofessional in his care! I decided to leave that practice the day after my appointment as my cat started bleeding from inside the ear! The vet had used ear buds so brutally I felt sick! Normally this manipulation is done very gently if the animal is awake or more thorough if the animal is sedated (preferred option by many vets)
Reading all the reviews, many are negative in the last year or so, maybe this place need to change but this particular vet needs to start caring!

Doesn’t care about animals

Doesn’t care about animals,
only wants money. They refused to even look at a small fox with a fractured spine that I found nearby the practice. The receptionist and vet both agreed they would not help. Receptionist showed no concern or interest for an animal in terrible pain. When asked if a vet had a duty to see suffering wildlife, neither of them had a clue and just repeated that it was against their ‘policy’. Funny as I’ve been to other branches of Easipetcare that were happy to help wildlife.

Please to not give your money to this heartless and unprofessional practice.

UPDATE: While i appreciate the response from Easipetcare, i can only conclude it is written by someone with very little understanding and knowledge of animals. A competent vet has a variety of equipment (gauntlets, muzzles, safety gloves, restraints etc) that allow them to safely handle animals including wildlife. Therefore wildlife such as foxes pose no risk. To state that Easipetcare is refusing to help wildlife on safety grounds is incredibly misleading. Reputable vets will always help wildlife and as Easipetcare should be aware are obliged to at least provide pain relief to injured wildlife brought in by members of the public.

As a volunteer wildlife rescuer, I visit many vets around the area. The bad vets always use excuses such as 'safety' and 'call the RSPCA' to get out of there duty to help a suffering animal. This is usually due to financial concerns but they won't admit this. The good vets say come straight in and we'll help you however we can. Mayow vets (Sydenham), Neighbourhood Vets, or Medivet Beckenham are great nearby vets who help wildlife and don't make excuses to 'get out of it'. Please consider these excellent alternatives even if Easipetcare is cheaper. If you care about wildlife do not allow Easipetcare to treat animals this way.

Reply from easipetcare - Streatham

Dear David, thank you for taking the time to review us. We take your comments on board and are sorry that you felt the team displayed a lack of compassion. The main reason we are unable to treat aggressive wild animals such as foxes is because we must consider the safety of our staff and other animals in our care at the practice. Our staff are not trained to handle wild foxes whereas the RSPCA have specialists who will attend to cases such as this. We will of course share your feedback with the team and discuss your concerns with them. Kind regards, easipetcare

Don't use

Terrible customer service. Don't respond to emails or call you back when requested. Just paid a debt collector what I owed, plus some, when I've been trying to pay for months, they just don't get in touch. I've got one dog and two cats - they've just lost a loyal customer that's been coming for years. Not had much in way of service over the years - they were just cheaper than my local vet (affluent area). Medication is expensive. You get what you pay for...

As the previous reviewer said its…

As the previous reviewer said its definitely not the low cost that care. I've had several errors with staff in the streatham practice, eg my puppies received wrong microchips, confusing my customers, them saying my dog didn't have fleas and my getting it checked at another vet confirming it had fleas, options of their plans are changed from explaining the precise thing differently from each staff, which leads to confusion and extra cost.

It’s not “low cost vet who care”

It’s not “low cost vet who care”. Don’t be fooled by this slogan! It’s something opposite. I visited Streatham branch and for 5 minutes consultation (literally I came, said my dog has ear infection, the vet looked at it briefly and confirmed) and medication (online for £13 and it’s still profitable apparently) I paid over £77. No cost explanation at all, not when I was booking the appointment, not during the visit, not when I was paying. The receptionist didn’t even offer me copy of the receipt, I had to ask for a breakdown. When I realised they overcharged me for the medication I asked if I can return it for a prescription but been told it’s impossible because I left the building with the medication (doesn’t matter it was 5 minutes earlier, the box is intact and they charge for a prescription anyway). Disappointed experience. My second dog is with other vet, so I called them to check how much it would cost me at “regular cost vet” and it is cheaper!!!! Shocking.

After close to £400 of tests

After close to £400 of tests, the vets at Easipetcare were unable to diagnose that my cat had a UTI. Switched vets, and my cat was properly diagnosed within 20 minutes. Plus, staff are rude, rude and rude.
