Avoid if you want urgent delivery and so many justifications

Avoid if you want urgent delivery. I ordered a new lock as i need to change the my front door lock due to security issue and being away for the weekend. My order was received and processed at 3pm on Thursday (money taken out n everything like invoice etc) and i chose next day delivery, thinking that at least it will arrive by late Friday or even Saturday morning before I left for the weekend.

And come friday, no delivery, i raised a chat conversation around 2 and 3 pm as well as whatsapp queries but no replies. Queries through emails are unanswered (few mins) before 5pm and another email after 5pm only got standard reply of out of office hour.

Luckily, i have managed to get a local locksmith to secure my front door.

Come Monday, only when I called to cancelled that i was told it was despatched and given tracking number there & then and informed that will arrive soon.

When i complained that next working day delivery should mean next day, Friday., the co. gave excuse that they have a cut off time of 2pm. What good company has a cut of course time of 2pm??? Yes, i read the terms that say cut offtime may vary., but ‘VARY’ to fit the compny’s justication for delays, is it? Pathetic excuse and the use of that ‘vary’ term.

And yes, i read the reviews, and the company seems to blame everybody other than themselves. In my case:
1. Cut off time 2pm since they put that ‘vary’ term
2. My emails was just before closing time- how about my chats and whatsapp messages? Ignored
3. Told me retrospectly, should called. Hello, how about those messages and good company could have called the customers instead, too! Even up to Minday morning 10am, no answer, no calls, no communications until i called
4. Retrospectively, they told me to get Saturday delivery (pay extra again on top of the next day delivery). Hello, i ordered the item on Thursday, not Friday. What were u doing the whole of Friday???? And i tead that the co. even missed Saturday delivery ordered by one customer.

They have refunded the item but not the £8 premium delivery charge. I am dissapointed because the company should understand the urgency of things. There’s a reason why we are willing to pay instead of free delivery (my item cost £89 therefore eligible). When it is on security of our home, please take it seriously dear Easylocks. And at least an apology rather than blaming the customer. Refunding the delivery charge will go down well too, esp. since my item is eligible for free delivery and yet, charged fully for DPD.

I gave 2 stars because at least they have extensive products and maybe (just maybe) if you are not in an urgent need to change your locks due to lost keys with ID.

Unfortunately, if the order was placed after the cut off time for delivery.

Our next day option is only for next working days, therefore we would not have been able to get this to you for Saturday due to this being an additional cost as you have mentioned. This item did however still leave us on the Friday, as you would have been informed by a despatch email.

After checking we can see our live chat was inactive due to being out of working hours and your WhatsApp did not get picked up until the following working day due to this being sent a minute before we close.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused by any delay there may have been in replying, we do aim to reply to all enquiries within the same day they are sent over within reason.

Regarding the refund, this was passed over to the accounts team immediately after we had confirmed the product was received back, which can take a couple of days with DPD.

As you chose a premium delivery and the goods were despatched we are unable to refund this service.

I hope this answer all your questions you may have had.

I wanted 2 keys for my garden gate

I wanted 2 keys for my garden gate. Sounds simple, but when the gate was installed - with a hefty locking bolt - I thought it would be easy to get extra keys cut. Not so! Having found that most suppliers wanted an arm and a leg to do it, finally came across Easylocks. The lock manufacturer had wrongly numbered the keys and so I had to send photos of the key to allow Easylocks to deduce exactly what I wanted. They persevered until, several photos later, they had enough info and the keys arrived very quickly. They worked perfectly and I'm very impressed with their service! Great job! I would recommend them to everybody.

DPD confirmed this was lost in the post the same day the investigation was raised, and new goods were despatched from us to be with you the next working day.

We apologise on DPD’s behalf for the lost parcel. We hope by sending the new lock out the same day notified of this being missing, we had resolved this issue.

Ordered a dummy door knob at price…

Ordered a dummy door knob at price £7.31 seen an on screen total then clicked pay and voila £17.72 taken including postage handling and vat..when I got over the shock I then got an email asking to respond if I wanted to pay extra postage bearing in mind it was uk to uk..spent the whole day being ignored via email online chat and phone calls..worst shopping experience EVER..want a refund...grrr..

After looking into this we can see that your address comes up under an offshore DPD delivery service, therefore the delivery would be a different cost to the standard DPD next day.

Regarding your emails being ignored, we can see that every email sent in has been responded to. We understand there was a delay with some of the emails not being answered until this morning, and this was due to us having to close as weather conditions became unbearable to work in as our new offices do not currently have air conditioning.

We hope you can understand our reasoning for this, and we are very sorry for the delay with some responses.

Locks works great but a little stiff to turn out of the box which is a bit of a shame (I am thinking about some disabled people who may struggle?).
I gave them a little all purpose oil (3in1 type) Which helped a great deal.
