India's Biggest Online Medicine Scam
On June 30th, I ordered medicines worth Rs 300, after finding easymedico.com on the first page of Google Search results.
Inspite of them not having an app, little did I realize, that I was being scammed by easymedico.com, trusting their website's neat interface and their highly reputed payment processing partner - ccavenue.
Easymedico cancelled my order, citing incomplete prescription within 24 hours of placing the order.
Which was quite confusing, as I ordered medicines from other reputed online pharmacies using the same prescription.
Usually when an online pharmacy cancels your order, you will get a refund within 2 days.
Guess what? I waited for 13 days to get a refund from Easymedico.com, I sent them a help request, contacted them on their Facebook Page, not a single response.
Stressed and annoyed, out of desperation, I contacted ccavenue.com, their payment processing partner.
To my absolute shock and dismay, they told me, they can't do anything as the money has already been 'forwarded' to the merchant.
I checked their online refund policy, which clearly states, that ccavenue must hold the funds for atleast 15 days, before sending them to the merchant.
Mine was less than 15 days (Google 'ccavenue refund policy' for more info).
I am totally dumbfound, that a highly respected payment gateway service provider such as ccavenue.com would associate themselves with fraudulent companies such as easymedico.com, it really is such a SHAME.
Makes me wonder, if ccavenue and easymedico are owned by a single entity.
Anyways, there is no way to get my money back, totally gutted!
