Wrote to Keith to make sure the nets…
I specifically contacted Keith prior to ordering to ensure these nets were properly woven and would not "ladder" or separate like cheaper alternatives. I was assured that these were superior quality. Based on that advice, I purchased two expensive nets.
Unfortunately, the product has failed to live up to these promises in three specific areas:
• Manufacturing Faults: Upon arrival, the material had significant defects every 10–20cm, consisting of frayed or missing twine.
• Poor Construction: Despite being told these wouldn't ladder, the material is simply "criss-cross" threads with no structural integrity. It ladders almost immediately upon contact, making it incredibly difficult to use.
• Inaccurate Descriptions: I was told the nets would be "hot-cut" to seal the edges. In reality, they arrived roughly cut with scissors and were already fraying. I have had to manually seal the edges with a lighter and use a glue gun to repair the manufacturing faults just to make them usable.
Furthermore, the nets are excessively rigid, making them very difficult to fit over cages. While the plastic itself may be durable, the lack of "intelligent" weaving means they are far less practical than the cheaper versions they cost ten times more than.
Customer Service:
I am most disappointed by the total lack of communication. I have emailed Keith four times and contacted the company email, with no response. Every time I telephone, I am told by a colleague/partner that Keith is away on business or dealing with a family crisis.
I had no choice but to use these nets immediately to protect my allotment from leek moth, but I am extremely dissatisfied. I am happy to retract this feedback should a full refund be issued, but as it stands, I cannot recommend this "premium" product or the service
