Bye Bye ebay

My mistake buying some tee shirts recently was that I accidently chose one from ebay... got the wrong size then it was replaced with another wrong size and the address in "washington" turned out to be in England, and ebay customer service did NOT even want to hear my side of the story at all. The auctions are a joke anyway as selling an item someone near the end can plop down a very high bid with the price only going up slightly and all other bidders who want to pay more are locked out... so the seller loses. Then there are the fees. All around loser. Bye Bye ebay. You are so done.

provides no recourse for their Kafkaesque messups

Tracking says item was delivered. Proof is some random person I've never heard of and who doesn't live at my address signed for it. Order was not delivered. The "proof" proves it was delivered to the wrong house. Ebay allows for no recourse, saying this is proof my item was delivered, to me. Ebay is a nightmare factory for buyers, they only care about their scammy sellers and screwing over people because that's what's easiest for them. Ebay can get bent, and so can everyone who works for them.

Never buy again on Ebay

I order a facial vitamin C serum that cost me $48.- and waited to arrive for 9 days, when I opened the package it arrived unsealed, I took pictures and returned because it's a lotion for my face and I can't take risks using an open item, I got returned half of my money, they told me the original company just returned 50%, I will never buy anything from this website! they are thieves, don't waste your time and money with this company. AMAZON ISTHE BEST!!!!

EBay is a great place for scammers.

I bought an item and the seller stated it was sent one week later. eBay offered only a 30 day protection period even though there was no tracking offered. When I queried the seller about the item not arriving, he stated it was lost in the post and offered a refund or to resend the item. I asked for either. He then ghosted me and failed to answer any more questions.
eBay offered no more support or protection as a buyer.

Terrible company with resolving delivery issues

Terrible company. Won't front or take responsibility for the cost of misdeliveries (unlike amazon). The app doesn't provide an option to clarify delivery instructions or a delivery address. I've wasted 10 days of time for my item to be misdelivered and sent back to the seller, and now the only option is to purchase the item at a HIGHER COST. I hate that. Unacceptable.

Received email that account was…

Received email that account was suspended? All I did was make a speaker purchase. Difficult to talk to someone but when I did she could not answer why (typical overseas person) nor could she help me. When I persisted she hung up. Canceled my order and will NEVER use ebay again.

I am extremely disappointed with eBay's customer care and the company

I am extremely disappointed with eBay's service. I sold an item for $450, and after deducting their fees, I still had around $200 remaining in my balance. However, eBay blocked my seller account and placed a hold on my funds without providing a clear explanation.

The buyer received the item and even left positive feedback, so I do not understand why my account was restricted. I contacted customer support several times, but their responses were unhelpful, and they failed to explain why my account was blocked or when I would be able to access my money.

This experience has been very frustrating and stressful. As a seller, I expect transparency and proper communication, especially when my earnings are being withheld. I hope eBay improves its customer service and provides clearer explanations to affected users.

Refund denied by eBay

I wanted a refund for a $350 item that was not as described. The seller agreed to issue a refund, but eBay did not cover the return shipping costs, so I had to pay for them myself. After that, the seller suddenly claimed that I had returned the wrong item. eBay sided with the seller and refused to issue a refund. My appeal was also rejected.

Obviously, I cannot prove what the seller actually received. I lost all the money plus the shipping costs. The cherry on top is that eBay deletes negative feedback when a case is decided in the seller's favor.

Never touching eBay again!

Ebay's policies are based on unfair practice:
1- hour auto pay scheme whereas in their own Help section it says '3 days'.
Closing accounts for 'policy violation' just because they linked them to previous closed accounts, which were equally closed without real explanation.
Telling sellers NOT to send items that were already paid, because account is closed
Telling sellers not to even TALK to Buyers for this reason.
Refusing appeals, refusing having a human eye check whether what their system decided was correct or not so.
Checking chats with scrutiny that even a word can cause account closure.
Allowing sellers to refuse a sale.
If any other site is mentioned (e.g. Delcampe, Amazon, etc), account will be closed in hours.

eBay method are terrible

As a seller and buyer on eBay this company is trash. eBay will limit how many item you can post if you don’t sell a certain amount of products which makes no sense. The algorithm will display certain seller items more than others. I truly hope a new platform is created so eBay goes out of business .

EBay 2026 Is Bunk

EBay Auctions are bunk. Sellers can cancel at any point, even after payment, if they feel like the pay out was too low for their liking. EBay relies too heavily on the money back guarantee as a be-all end-all when really it should be the least they could do. Also, customer support email went defunct in the middle of an issue. Whatever they did these past 2-3 years behind the scenes, it is not evolution.

Far too many questionable sales re shipping. Fake tracking numbers. Now, many standard shipping services being used with no tracing number, or invalid tracking numbers provided. Sadly, no longer can I trust EBay Sellers , after payment, to get my purchases to my address. Also, too any items not as described. eBay has become an untrustworthy buying site.

Ebay.com dont give any customer the right to record them but the ebay staff are allowed to record it's users. This is so dishonest and unprofessional for a business and also a way of saying that they dont trust their own staff to remain professional and not say anything wrong to a customer.
Everyone knows that ebay management dont give a shit about there customers and all they care about is the money they are robbing and scamming from honest people.

I had to rate 1 Star, but I’d rather give them a big fat -0
I had ordered a Lego set back in early June, time arriving at the end of the month. When that date came & went. I had called eBay customer service on July 2nd & after giving them my confirmation # etc of purchase, the guy said he’s shows nothing of a purchase or payment. I told him funny, my bank shows you pulled out the money! After going back & forth he hung up, on me! I turned around & called my bank, & put a fraudulent claim against them. I will never purchase anything from them again!

Seller Experience: Months Without Any Meaningful Activity

For months I have had numerous items listed for sale and, based on my personal experience, I have not received any sales, purchase offers, or meaningful interactions with my listings. My profile appears inactive.
What I find most demanding is the time required to create and manage each listing: taking photographs, writing detailed descriptions, entering all the necessary information, and continuously managing the shop. In my case, this effort has not led to any tangible results.
After months without any meaningful engagement, my overall experience as a seller has been negative.
This review reflects only my personal experience with the platform and how I perceived the service during the period of use.

I stopped using EBAY back in 2016 due to an arrogant, immature, seller named 2007jessicah.
She had posted a DELANEY handbag in the pink color but sent one in blue which I already had. She literally insulted me by calling me an ignorant 64 yr old for buying the same purse and telling me my deceased son was better off dead than being with me. She threatened me with court and said my grandsons whom I adopted weren't biologically mine, they were my sons . kids and for her to continuously email me with threats and malicious slander was unacceptable. Someone did a poor job raising her. Only reason I mentioned my son had passed was because she told me her fiancé left her in debt and that's why she was selling her personal I tems.
After fileing a cease and desist due to cursing and demeaning verbal insults EBAY did nothing even though they had copies of her numerous emails. Only reason I'm bringing it up 10 yr later is I saw copies of the emails and it still infuriates me at age 73. Sign me ,NEVER USING EBAY AGAIN. Suggestion: Get background checks on your sellers cause 2007Jessicah had severe mental issues. Date of experience 7/18/2016
