No shoes, no refund, no customer service
I wish I had read the reviews first. I ordered a pair of shoes at the end of November. They did not arrive. I contacted customer service numerous times, but nobody answered. Finally, I got through to Alexandra Baxter, who provided an update, saying that my shoes were out for delivery on 20th December. Today is the 23rd of December and I am still waiting for my shoes. Avoid buying from them at all costs.
Worst online order experience
My experience with ECCO’s online ordering has been disappointing across three orders. I ordered the same pair of shoes twice. The first time, they sent the wrong item, and when I attempted to return it in-store on Black Friday, the store refused to process the return due to the busy shopping day (they did at the end). I reordered the same shoes, but the order was canceled after a week without explanation.
In a separate order for a different pair of shoes, the package arrived over two weeks late with a damaged box. At that point, I decided not to go through the hassle of filing another complaint.
Based on these experiences, I would caution against making online purchases from ECCO.
The worst customer service ever
The worst customer service ever! They do nothing!
Awful customer service
Awful customer service. Condescending when you contact them and they offer no help.
I have been wearing Ecco shoes for over…25 years
I have been wearing Ecco shoes for over 25 years and they are my go to brand. I know the fit is right. I think they wear well. The only issue I have had with the shoes is on some old shoes (20 years old) the soles have disintegrated but thats down to me and storage and not the shoes. The ones have have worn constantly have stood up to the the wear and abuse I give them.
Ecco return policy is a joke
Ecco return policy is a joke. The require you to pay for return shipping and ... wait for this - PLUS a $10 return fee. If I had purchased the same shoes from anywhere other then the own web site the return would have been free.
ecco ankle boots
Bought an ecco ankle boots and it only lasted a year. The sole split into half
Ridiculous
I bought two pairs of echo shoes on line to collect at the nearest store, about 25 miles away. When I went to collect them I was told one pair was coming from Poland and although the other pair was in the shop I couldn’t have them until the pair from Poland arrived because they were one order. How stupid is that.
Avoid buying from Ecco on-line
Two pairs shoes bought online returned day after receiving as poor fit and sizing (have previously been good). Ecco use Evri as courier - tracking stated parcel still at Parcelshop. Ten weeks of chasing refund and no response from Evri or Ecco. Finally got refund by sending signed for letter to Ecco's registered office in London. Standard e-mail notifying of refund but no apology. No way can to speak to a person, automated system told me to "return to main menu or hang up". My advice is avoid online sales from Ecco.
Don't buy ECCO Golf Shoes
Purchased ecco biom h4 henrik stenson golf shoes from an authorised stockist. The soles of these waterproof shoes split after around 30 rounds played. Customer service did not want to know as I didn't buy them online. Refused to send a "goodwill" voucher as the soles "did not degrade through hydrolysis" !! NO they split and are not waterproof. Avoid
Golf Shoe soles disintegrated - Appalling Customer Relations
Golf Shoe soles disintegrated. Advised ECCO of the problem. They were 'old' new unworn shoes about 5 years old and retail for a kings ransome. They disintegrated after 3 rounds of golf. ECCO said they would review photos and get back to me, they did not. I reminded them. They still did not get back. I wanted to hear what they had done to stop this happening to give me confidence to buy again as they did look like nice shoes. They cant be bothered to fix problems or talk to customers. Didn't realise how bad a company they were until I visited Trust Pilot. Obviously appreciative of bad reviews so here's another one for you.
More disintegrating Ecco shoes. Don't buy this rubbish!
I have a couple of dozen shoes, with some sitting in storage, not being worn. A couple of weeks ago, I was looking at these and thought that a nice pair of Ecco tan leather shoes should go into service. Soles and leather completely unmarked. Went to a pub by car and walked 100 yards from car to pub. The sole of the left shoe had completely disintrgrated by the pub door. Ecco's materials and/or manufacturing are obviously at fault but they have their 1 year only warranty. Some wealthy person needs to test a not fit for purpose court action in the UK. Unworn shoes should not disintegrate!! I have no such problems with my other shoe brands. I stopped buying their rubbish some years ago.
No customer service dept = no customer service!
Ecco do not have a customer service department. They do not care about their customers, the quality of their product or the way their staff treat you in store. I have been chasing an issue with some trainers since July. They say someone will respond urgently but no one ever does.
Another long standing customer they have lost and I’m telling everyone I know not to purchase from them - casual or golf!
Dreadful company to deal with in every…
Dreadful company to deal with in every way possible .. wish I had looked at the reviews first on Trustpiolrt first .. love the shoes, our store in my Cily closed and went for on-line !! … now claiming my money back from my credit card company !! … awful do not order for the UK .. they should be struck off from trading at all !!
“Waterproof” shoes about as waterproof as a sponge
In the past - about 10 years ago - I have found Ecco shoes very good: comfortable and robust. So I confidently bought a pair of hybrid outdoor trainers advertised as waterproof (they are said to include a layer of Gore-Tex). They’re about as waterproof as a sponge, a sieve or blotting paper, that is, not waterproof at all. No more Ecco for me.
The Leather Will Ruin Your Socks in a Downpour
I purchased a pair of men's Leather ECCO Soft 7 M trainers in September '22 and have had two pairs of socks ruined because when they're exposed to heavy rain the dye bleeds into them. In hindsight I should've purchased a bottle of ECCO Repel but this wasn't suggested on the website so therefore I had assumed that the leather was waterproofed for the lifetime of the item. Thanks, ECCO have just cost me £30!
Ecco Trainers. Poor quality now?
I wear orthotics and Ecco trainers (especially the Soft 7 range), until recently have been amazing for me. The last couple of pairs I have purchased this year feel poor quality and have weak/soft soles which are now making my feet feel sore. This has never happened wearing Ecco trainers in the past and I am certain that they have lowered their quality. It now seems that I have no choice but to purchase trainers from another brand now which is a shame as Ecco used to be perfect. I will wait and see what their customer service has to say. PS. My orthotics are only a few months worn after a refurb, so in good condition.
Honestly
Honestly, my experience with using Ecco shoes was very good.. and every three years I renew and buy from the same company because they are comfortable, practical, strong, do not tear, and are good
2 pair of sandals in bin
2 pair of sandals, one pair of trainers, all in the bin due to soles crumbling. Uppers still in perfect condition.
Will not be buying Ecco again 😠
Unacceptable Return Service for UK Customers
I ordered trainers from Ecco who dispatched the wrong style and the wrong size. Regardless, I still had to wait over two weeks for a reimbursement. Although tracking evidenced that the return was received by Ecco within two days, for some reason best known to Ecco they would not reimburse until the trainers had been received back into their Polish Warehouse which would take over two weeks, and then an additional 10 days for reimbursement? I have sent stuff to Australia quicker! This is crazy customer service for you UK customers Ecco and needs a rethink.
