My father just died and you recorded my mother, the woman he had been married to for 62 years as a significant other. You have no idea how painful this is to our family. Shame

The while process was easy

The while process was easy. The only thing that would have made me feel better about my purchase was if I would have been notified of who the flowers where handed to. For all I know they may have never made it to their destination.

Sometimes the local florist is told to put the flowers in a flower room at the church or funeral service, so they are not directly handed to anyone. Failed to deliver TWICE IN a YEAR

Two times within a year, this company has FAILED to deliver flowers after confirming the order. When a friend or family member passes, we want to show our care and concern by sending flowers if we are unable to attend the services. They refunded the money but that's NOT the point. I wanted the flowers delivered as promised. And in BOTH cases, when I contacted customer support, they blamed someone else and said it was beyond their control. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!! They took the order and my payment and should deliver as promised. I might accept one mess up. BUT TWO, within 7 months!!

As we've responded to your multiple other reviews, if the local florist assigned your order is unable to fulfill/delivery your order after they've already accepted it, our partner, Blooms Today, attempts to re-assign your order to another florist, but if it is not accepted by any other florist, the order is cancelled and you are notified. Although you choose to believe this is Echovita's fault, it is not. Echovita is an obituary website and cannot control what happens to an order once it is processed and assigned to a local florist.

Unexpected fee included on order but later resolved

On Jan. 27, ordered an $80 funeral arrangement through Echovita. When I received the confirmation of order, I was surprised to find I was charged an additional fee of $9.99 for an "eternity candle." Don't know what this is and didn't request to order it. Echovita has since refunded the fee & advised that the item & fee could have been removed during the order process. Appreciated fee refund but feel this item should NOT be automatically added to an order for the customer to later remove if not wanted.

Hi Cynthia, the virtual candle included in your order could have been removed from your order during step 4 of checkout. Also, it appears in the complete price breakdown on the left-hand side of the screen before clicking "Place my order". Since you didn't want the candle, we have cancelled and refunded it. Please allow 5-7 business days for the refund to be returned to you. In the future, when there is a discrepancy with your order, it is best to contact the company you ordered from to get it resolved. Flowers not delivered on time for…

Flowers not delivered on time for funeral on Thursday. In fact it was Monday before they were delivered!!!

I could order a meaningful bouquet…

I could order a meaningful bouquet within my price range all from the comfort of my workstation. I also liked that I did not have to worry about delivery as there is a process in place between the florist and the funeral home which made things super convenient.

Somewhat Disappointed

I made two orders. One was delivered and one was not. This was first time using the service from the site recommended by the funeral home links. Therefore would have been nice if the delivery had been seamless.

Flowers not deliverable

Flowers were ordered through the site because it was on the funeral home's website with the departed individual's information. The order was placed after about 2 days I received an email of cancellation. I'm not sure if there is any fault to be rendered, but the occasion made it more disappointing. It is a bit disheartening to go through the whole process of ordering online and then having it cancelled. A telephone called would have been a more professional touch.

Blooms Today may have attempted to reach you by phone, but if you don't answer, they send an email. If the local florist assigned your order comes across an issue and cannot fulfill your order, the customer is notified and the order is cancelled if it cannot be re-assigned to another florist.

Be mindful this is an independant obituary site

tHERE IS NO WAY TO CONTACT THE COMPANY BY PHONE OR EMAIL WITHOUT GIVING YOUR PERSONAL CONTACT INFO. I NEVER SAW MY MESSAGE ON THE ACTUAL FUNERAL HOME SITE. NEVER SEND NOREPLY EMAILS AND ALWAYS LEAVE A WORKING PHONE NUMBER. OTHERWISE, YOU CANNOT BE CONSIDERED TRUSTWORTHY AT ALL.

You can contact us via email as per our contact us section. Of course, you'd need to provide your name and email address, otherwise, how can we respond to you? Messages left on Echovita are left on Echovita, not the funeral home's website. That is an assumption you made. Our support is via email only. The only no reply emails we send or welcome emails, and notification emails.

Preyers for profit of deceased loved ones.

I already wrote a review for Tribute.com. The same goes for Legacy.com and Echovita.com.
I only hit 1 star because nothing less was available that would allow me to give a review. These are leach company that take obituaries from legitimate funeral homes' sites and post them on their own sites to profit from. The obituary is often inaccurate and they are trying to sell trees, etc without permission/authorization from their families. They just did this to us on the loss of my 14 year old grandson. Our funeral director has made several attempts to stop this, but always hits a dead end. I have warned everyone we shared our obituary with, and I am writing a letter to the Secretary of State.

their paid services Do not exits in Canada

Paid for Services do not exits
Their obituary was confiscated and reprinted from bits and pieces swiped from the net. Echovita’s obits have nothing to do with the bereaved family nor placed there by the funeral home. I am trying to get two payments refund: a lit a candle order, and a tree planning tributes cancel for full refund total paid $78. these service do not exits in Canada

If you have already contacted us directly via email on our website, then I'm sure this has already been resolved. I would like to address some of your false statements. There are 3 ways obituaries can be posted on our website. We either further share basic facts of publicly available obituaries, the family posts their loved one's obituary on our website, or the funeral home posts their obituaries on our website via our affiliate program. Also, you claim that lighting candle and planting trees doesn't exist in Canada, which is not true. The virtual candles are posted and shown directly on the obituary page. At the time of your purchase of memorial trees, as stated on our website, memorial trees could only be planted in The United States. This was stated on every page regarding memorial trees and in our FAQ section. However, we have recently added the option for memorial trees to be planted in Canada and our website has been updated. Thank you.

Ripped me off $29 to have an eternal candle lit for my son’s sudden death! Reporting to the police for fraud. Preying on those bereaving.
