After months of waiting for a solar installation I requested a refund only to receive a letter (21/9/22) in the post saying they intended to enter voluntary liquidation. If you were thinking of entering an agreement with them or making any payments DONT!!!

My air to water Heat Pump was installed in February 2022, The day after the installation I pointed out to the plumber several discrepancies with the insulation, these were rectified but on closer examination many other discrepancies were found, these were pointed out to ECO CCL who simply ignored my complaints. The electrical isolation switch was installed in a position where it could and was hit when I carried my lawn mower out of my garage, ECO CCL said there was no problem.
I complained to NAPIT showing photographs of the problems, after careful review NAPIT upheld my complaints and ECO CCL have been told to correct the problems.
Wayne (the owner of ECO CCL had been doing this work for many years, he chose both the agency plumber and electrician, all the problems are the responsibility of the tradesmen, nothing is the responsibility of ECO CCL.
Avoid ECO CCL like the plague,
I have now been informed by NAPIT that ECO CCL have gone into liquidation, basically they have simply walked away from the case, NAPIT will have to find another company to rectify the work that is wrong. Whether I will be allowed compensation for the heat loss that I have encountered due to inadequate insulation I do not know,

The whole experience from start to finish was excellent, All the team members I met or spoke to were friendly, professional, informative and helpful. The planning phase with Jon and Ron was conducted very diligently with plenty of sensible, relevant and honest advice; I felt that the ASHP system recommended for us was the perfect solution. The team that came to fit the system, Jordan and Lewis, worked amazingly well; fast, safe, cleanly and with a high degree of technical expertise. As the ASHP system was completely new to me, I asked loads of questions from how it worked to why certain parts were fitted and what did they do. I also got loads of sensible advice on the best way to use the system which was really helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for the team. The after service was also excellent. As you might expect from the fitting of a complete new system, there was a couple of areas where I needed advice to help me operate it or just to put my mind at rest that all was ok; there was always someone at the end of the phone / email to offer help. I received a lot of sound help and advice on how to use the Melcloud (app) to operate the system either in the home or whilst away in our Motorhome. The app is brilliantly easy to use and offers me the opportunity to monitor and control my home hot water and central heating, from anywhere. Thanks Danny. All my minor issues were dealt with quickly and professionally over the phone, even the ones where there wasn’t really an issue in the first place, just me being over cautious. Nothing was ever too much trouble for the team. Thanks to Emma who put up with my endless questions (she answered them professionally or knew someone who could). I have to say that the whole experience was positive and the team delivered what they promised. I have been assured that any questions or issues I might have in the future will be just as effectively dealt with, if required, which offers us real confidence. The final bit to offer is; we have an ASHP system that works; plenty of hot water and heating when required (with no gas supply). Brilliant, thank you ECO CCL

I’d love to agree with several of the reviews that highly rate ECOCCL, but I simply cannot. Some reviews mention their after sales service and that is the reason for my dissatisfaction. The technical installation went fine and everything worked as expected, but days after the installation I noticed the outside lagging on the flow and return to the heat pump over a few metres was very poor and almost certainly causing my COP to be lower that expected. I wrote to Wayne weeks ago, including a photo, and go no reply. I called Emma and she asked for photos, I don’t think she or Wayne were aware I’d sent a previous email. However, I sent several pictures of gaping lagging and gaps in the lagging, and haven’t even had a reply.

In the sales process I was promised a really good finish on the lagging outside, but it has been disappointing to say the least. I’m thinking that I’ll need to get someone in to take care of this because since I paid ECOCCL, they don’t seem at all interested. If you get lucky you may have a good installation, but if you’re unlucky, then like myself and others, you’ll be left angry and frustrated after spending a massive amount of money with them. I shared my research with a good friend of mine and he also went ahead with ECOCCL at the same time as me, but I wouldn’t recommend them again.

Update: 27 March 2022

I emailed ECOCCL again last week to ask ‘Do you intend to do anything about the poor lagging on my outdide pipe work’ and have not had a reply or even an acknowledgement. I don’t know why but I’m getting zero feedback to the issues I reported. I am further concerned about their ability to respond to customer requests, post sale. As a result I’ve reduced my rating from 3 stars to 2 stars.

After millions of excuses and waiting for last repairs from nov still no sign of Mr Wayne or email from him.

Amazing company. The work was done quickly and professionally. The staff have helped through every step of the process and have always been there to help no matter the question. They explained the system and provided us with manuals, online links and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them.

EcoCCL were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. I had a full Airsource heat pump installation and could not be happier with the system.

They fitted the whole system in 1 day and their staff were professional and super tidy.

Both Emma (Office manager) and Dan (surveyor) have been great to deal with and i will definitely be using them again to get a solar battery installed.

Terrible company please avoid. Their after care is non existent. Despite us having a major issue with the system they installed, and us being patient during the pandemic and living with an issue for months they now wash their hands of the problem. They cannot be trusted. Messy installation and non existent after sales service.

Just had my air source heat pump fitted by ECOCCL from Doncaster they provided a brilliant service from start to finish.
They removed my old gas boiler fitted a new air source heatpump
and new radiators it is brilliant 5*,thankyou ECOCCL for a great job
not the cheapest but in my opinion definitely the best.

Ecoccl have been a pleasure to deal with on this large scale project. The communication was first rate and their flexibility has proved invaluable.

Danny is very easy to deal with and pulls out all the stops when needed.

The new system was installed very efficiently, and the team were courteous and tidy (although they did leave some of our old pipework in the loft and we are still waiting for this to be addressed).
Customer service is very good - Emma and Danny in the office are great and have been very helpful with numerous queries. It takes a while to understand this new type of heating system (which works extremely well) and it's nice to know we have support from EcoCCL via telephone or email if we do have issues.

We have just had our Ecodan 8.5kW heat pump installed. I just want to say what an excellent experience we have had from all the staff at ECO CCL Ltd. Carl the sales manager originally visited us and presented their company and advised of the requirements and cost. Dan the surveyor visited next and ensured that everything we needed was included. We placed the order with a desperate need to install as our oil tank was near empty. Dan survey confirmed the requirements etc and all was good. A complete new system heat pump, radiators, hot water tank, and metering system was ordered at a competitive price. We went for Ecodan because we felt it was the most efficient system. Within one week we had the install. The install team of two were hard working, very clean and tidy and made a super job of the installation. The old oil system was taken out and New Ecodan installed and we had hot water and heating after the first day. No mess, all old equipment removed from our house leaving us only to sort out the oil tank. Thank you all at ECO CCL look forward to long relationship with this company.

This is a review of the service I received, not the product - I'd have to wait a year before doing that.
First I met Carl, he gave me a rundown of the product ( this tallied with my research). He didn't suggest that I was going to make a vast saving - wouldn't have believed him if he had.
Then Danny arrived & measured everything within an inch of it's life. A great deal of paper was generated & he took me through it, explaining some of the oddities.
Finally Michael & Steve arrived and worked like Trojans - an electrician whose name I never discovered arrived on the second day and joined in. They tore through the job fuelled by plenty of coffee and were finished in just over a day and a half.
They were exemplary in covering carpets & cleaning up - all the old plumbing and the packaging was removed.
A thoroughly professional job from start to finish, very satisfied with the service.
Now to see how the equipment stands up!.

I have recently updated my inefficient oil boiler with a modern air source heat pump. Eco ccl provided me with a competitive quote but more importantly were very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the whole process. The heat pump is very quiet when operating and my house is lovely and warm. I’m looking for to saving money on my bills, whilst being more environmentally friendly. A special thank you to Mick who expertly installed the unit, clean, tidy and extremely helpful.

Having obtained 3 quotes to change my Oil heating system to Air Source, this company offered the most comprehensive package. There price was very competitive. They were not the cheapest but were the most knowledgeable about their products and they were able to answer all my questions. We are now in week 2 of the Air Source Heating and are very warm (October). I'm using the Governments Ofgem Renewable Heat Incentive Scheme which ECOCCL have helped with the application. My thanks to the 8 people at the company. Excellant service. Thank you

They conducted a heating survey about 6 months ago with a view to install new Storage Heaters under the Affordable Warmth Scheme, the Surveyor kept saying about having the loft insulation topped up as they got more money from doing that than installing heaters so I said yes to that as well, they did that quite quickly but we have had no heating in parts of our house for months now. I have now been told after all this time that they can't fit any heaters. I contacted another Company last week and they are fitting new ones tomorrow.
