Pickup was uneventful
Pickup was uneventful, but fairly speedy. A little bit of a language barrier, but since I was the foreigner, I cannot complain. Drop off in Rome FCO, once I navigated to the EcoVia location, was exceptional. The car was rather large for Tuscan roads, but a pleasure to drive, and extremely economical on fuel since it was a hybrid drive. Overall, a great experience .

The staff did well in fixing unexpected discrepancies before checking out the car to meet our expectations. Also on return very helpfull in checking in the car.
Tip: Don't burry the "free parking bonus" by Autovia somewhere in the small print. It's a huge extra to be able to visit Florence while parking without charge in parking garage.

There was no staff present at the dropoff. We waited for 25 minutes without succes. Because we had to check-in a wheelchair we couldn't wait longer. Hence, I entered the office and left my keys on the desk.

Staff availability at drop-off should allow customers to complete the return process without unnecessary waiting. We are therefore sorry that, after waiting 25 minutes, you had to leave the keys on the desk.

Great experience overall
The entire experience overall, from airport pick-up and drop off, to getting the vehicle I reserved in good, clean working order. I read a lot of horror stories with regard to renting vehicles in Italy, specifically. Happily, I never experienced any of the issues I read about. I would highly recommend Ecovia to anyone looking to rent a good-quality vehicle in Europe.
