In the past I've struggled to get through to the English Speaking Helpine, but this time the response was fairly quick. I'm staying in a friend's gite and there's no internet and the mobile signal is awful. The advisor was very patient and very helpful. After struggling for a while she asked if I could go to somewhere where I could get a better signal as she needed my bank details. I was going into town anyway and she rang me back while I was there. We managed to complete the transaction without any more difficulties.

The advisor suggested I record and write down my electric meter reading prior to going away and again on my return,so I have factual information if I have any further queries of the cost of my electricity. I will do this from now on.

The agent let me know that EDF does not know what is going on with my account. I am being charged, twice a month €120 & €39, respectfully. I am being charged for services even though I am not there, for the past 9 years. When I return to my home in France, I will address the matter with EDF face to face.

Contacted customer service, I was told to contact Energis who did not speak english, so no help from anybody. They take your money and dont want to know about customer service.

I left a message on the EDF chat page which resulted in an advisor sending me a text message to say that she was going to call me in a few minutes. I appreciated this as I knew to answer the call. She gave me the English helpline number because I do not speak fluent in french.I found all of the EDF advisors extremely helpful.
