I had an amazing experience at EF San Diego! Studying at EF International Language Campus San Diego gave me the chance to meet people from all over the world and improve my English in a fun, supportive environment.
The campus is in a great location, close to some of the most beautiful beaches in California, and the activities organized by EF made it easy to explore places like San Diego, Los Angeles, and more. Every day felt like a mix of learning and adventure.
What stood out the most was the international community—I made friends from different cultures that I’ll stay in touch with for years.
I’d definitely recommend EF San Diego to anyone looking to study English while experiencing life in California!
French customer sevice still missing
Update on a previous review where I was recounting that there is no way to get hold of their French customer service once the booking is made (their sales office is very responsive but do not deal with post-sales questions). Once again today, I was placed on hold, told of my progress in the queue, then hung up on ("your correspondant is not available to take your call"). Twice. Last week, I tried several times and did not even get to that stage, the wait had been so long that I decided to give up. In fact, I was trying to get hold of them to reply to one of their email, but when they write to you, all you can see is a "noreply" email address which obviously does not work.
I looked up their UK offices on their website to try my luck there, both numbers listed do not work.
I finally got hold of the Zurich office who kindly accepted to forward my email to the French office.
Ridiculous.

It was one of my best experience in my life. Perfect.
An enriching, immersive 2 weeks learning Spanish and living in Horta
My experience was really fun, fulfilling and valuable. It took me a long time to decide what duration would work best for me and my freelance work schedule and budget. Joey Geary in the Boston office was instrumental in speaking with me about all of the factors last year. I decided on a 2 week general course and a homestay. I felt a little anxious about not finding out the stay details until so close to the trip (2 weeks prior) but I trusted it would be fine and it was.
My first days were full on, and the staff at EF Barcelona is just wonderful! They gave us all such a warm welcome. It’s an efficient system of testing quickly to determine level for placement! I really got a lot out of each of my classes. Being immersed is the best way to learn, and it was such a unique experience to learn Spanish with students from literally all over the world!! I heard them translate into German, Dutch, French, etc. The age range is largely very young – even some in their teens! But I was in good company with some older folks as well. I made many friends and really enjoyed speaking with everyone and admire their commitments to this language. Martin Lago is an excellent instructor who’s patient and mindful of his different students and their levels, and very fun to learn with! Tania was also remarkable! She was strict with no English spoken during classes which helped challenge us to learn better. The homestay experience was really rewarding. I was matched with Alicia in Horta and now have a lifelong friend I hope! She was so kind and hospitable, generous with her amazing cooking and even took me on a beautiful hike with stunning views! The room itself was a bit awkward for me as a 40 year old woman, since it has a small bunk bed meant for children. But it was still comfortable and I had space for all my things. Alicia and I also had opposite schedules and I had her apartment to myself sometimes to relax and make myself at home in the living room as well. Overall, such a rewarding experience I’ll never forget! I would definitely learn with EF again and recommend them to others (I already have!)
Had a great time
The teachers and students were very friendly! I felt supported by my teachers the entire way. My host family was great which I was grateful to be placed in. The classes might be too long if you have any learning disabilities like ADHD as they are an hour and 20 minutes with a 10 minute break in between your next one. Nonetheless it was a great experience
The class and teacher were excellent
The class and teacher were excellent , the Ef resident did not achieve my expectations. The tours were good .
I like a contact with many people
I like a contact with many people. I appreciate most of my teachers. The teachers are more competent. I want to underline the good work of the administrative staff and the one dealing with accommodation.
I liked the life at The Well. It's a calm place, safety place with luxuous places to study or rest.

I am writing to express my absolute outrage at how EF Education First handles serious disputes. 11 days ago, I sent a formal notice via registered mail directly to the Board of Directors in Zurich. To this day, EF has done absolutely nothing to resolve the issue. The only "action" taken was by Iris, who effectively blocked my account in the system, cutting off all my access and communication. Instead of addressing a legitimate complaint sent to the headquarters, the company chose to silence me and prevent any further resolution.

EF Vancouver is a really great school. The weather makes the campus extra beautiful and it’s very convenient being located in the heart of downtown Vancouver. The staff were incredibly welcoming and made the experience very positive for the students. Thanks again!
