This heater doesn’t work as advertised. It claims to heat up to 150 sq ft, but in my 8×10 ft room (about 80 sq ft) it never raised the temperature above 54°F and blew heat toward the wall instead of the room.

I gave it months to improve—no change. A cheap replacement heater warmed the room immediately. Customer service refused a refund based on the return window despite the product never functioning properly.

Highly not recommended.

TERRIBLE COMPANY!! Product fell apart!

TERRIBLE COMPANY!!! Their customer service is HORRIBLE. we ordered two heaters and had one installed. It literally fell apart in two days. Parts were quite literally falling out of it. So rather than pay again to have another one installed we just decided to return both. They are trying to charge me shipping for the alleged working product despite them being in the same box and under the same exact label. They won’t take any responsibility that I paid to have a defective one installed and I’m not even asking them to reimburse me for that. They’re fighting me on $18 and it’s not even about the money it’s the principal!!! Plus their customer service team has terrible attitudes. I wrote numerous reviews on their website that won’t get published because they are frauds and so dishonest. Just beware.

Poor business practice

I ordered the heater directly from the companies website. When the heater arrived it did not come with the hardware to install. It took two emails and two phone calls to communicate this to their office. I was told on phone and via email I would receive within 7 to 10 days. I ended up purchasing another heater as the hardware arrived a month later. I returned the product and they charged me the cost it took to return. It was their fault why was I charged the fee.

Awful Customer Service and Product

I ordered the heater and contacted my landlord to install it. Unfortunately, they will not allow me to do so. I contacted Envi, and they said, too bad. Nothing we can do as it is outside your 30 day window. Now should I have pre-emptively asked my landlord, probably so. But the heater is still in its box, never opened. It could easily be returned. Their customer service was completely cut and dry and offered zero assistance. I own my own small business and that isn't how business is done.

If they need the money that badly, clearly they are hurting, so likely their product isn't great. Good companies accept returns.

Do yourself a favor and buy a different wall heater

I wish I saw these reviews before purchasing any eheat heaters. Three of the heaters started smoking after some years. I purchased three new ones and one came dead on arrival. eheat claims it is working in order to charge me for the return shipping. However, the reviews don't lie. They have such poor craftsmanship and quality control that a good percentage of its heaters leave the factory able to power on but unable to produce heat.

Poor Quality Assurance and Poor Warranty Shop

Bottom line up front, POOR QUALITY AND POOR WARRANTY SERVICE. I had to spend my time and over $200.00 out of pocket to fix a problem their QUALITY ASSURANCE should have caught before it left the factory and thier WARRANTY REPAIR SHOP should have found when I sent it back to them.
In March of 2023, I purchased an Envi 110v wall mounted heater to replace another Envi heater that was starting to fail after years of use. In October of 2024, I finally got around to installing the new heater, but it did not function properly (IntermittentOperation). I didn't have time to mess with it, so I used a small space heater to get by. Luckily, the 2024 winter was not particularly hard. As winter started to set in this year, I resolved to get the issue addressed. I contacted customer service at eheat, and they were very helpful in assigning an RMA number for warranty work. I spent the money to send it back to eheat, and within a couple of days I was notified they were sending the unit back to me. I called to find out what they had found, and they told me the unit worked fine for them, but they replaced a part that could be the cause of the problem. When I received the heater, I immediately reinstalled it and it had the exact same issue. I called an electrician and when he came out, he found an internal connection on the heater was loose. He tightened that one and checked all the other internal connections, and the unit started working properly.

Don’t by one

Don’t by one. It’s a waste of money. Just purchased one in December of 2024. It was delivered a few days ago. I installed it and it doesn’t project any heat out. When using the app the room temp never changes, it’s still cold where installed. It puts very little to no heat out. Will contact EHeat, during normal business hours for a replacement. Maybe I go a dud.

Purchased a Smart Envi 500 watt heater December of 2024. It has what looks like a defective controller which turns the heat on and off by the minute. Clearly a defective internal sensor. I have requested a replacement. We'll see what their customer service does.

eHeat no service and no exchange.

Writing this review and complaint from Brampton, ON, Canada November 28, 2024. I purchased a two pack of plug-in refurbished wall heaters in May of 2022.
Immediately one of the heaters acted up. The first time I pushed the on/off button it stayed in and stayed on. Have to use the wall plug to turn off when leaving the house. But most importantly, the heater makes the house lights flicker high and low on a one second approx timing. The second heater has worked well but now after two years it too is starting to make the house lights flicker.
When I contacted eHeat on 04/22/2022 the response from two eHeat representatives was that they have never heard of their heaters making the lights flicker, but very surprisingly were not interested in warranty nor having me return them to the USA factory and find out what makes the lights flicker. Not interested in improving their products? The heaters are a great idea in that the on-off cycle is controlled by a printed circuit board and not a mechanical relay, which softly turns off the power. The electrical consumption spikes up when using a mechanical relay and thus uses more electricity. So this is why I chose eHeat wall heaters in the first place. And, reading below to complaint by Jeremy Paone, I myself DO LIKE the fact that it has NO FAN! Nicely silent operation and warm air rising from the unit circulates across the room in time and cooler air then back into the bottom side of the unit.
Shame on them for no interest in finding a fix for me.
Invoice number on or about 22 May 2022 is Order #3xxx27 and I have successfully recently signed in to my eHeat account to confirm this order number through the email link that was sent to me in May 2022.

Hideous Customer Service

Although the company claims the unit can be installed in a bathroom, our building inspector did not allow it and now I am stuck in a lengthy and expensive process to return it. Aside from the fact that the unit is rather flimsy and not worth the money, their customer service is almost nonexistent and their return policies are utterly predatory.

Still no product and Bait and Switch service

I am getting a total run around from the support team. I called directly before ordering the Wi-Fi units to assure I would have my units by specified time since putting my house on the market. I was very clear that I had to have heaters in these rooms before I could do so. They assured would ship at end of Jan so I placed order solely on that info. Then when I checked in end of Jan since no status on shipping they told me I was in queue for mid / end of Feb. We are now at end of Feb and still nothing and still no firm date and no updates from eheat. ONLY when I threatened to write a review and file a complaint I got, “ I am up next in queue”. Of course still no firm ship date on that either so can’t even schedule my electrician. Basically they are floating my money and waiting to deliver the products ( if they ever do) when warmer so you can’t really test the product correctly. Not impressed with service thus far.
Update - when I told support that it sounded like I needed to write a review to warn people and cancel order they just canceled the order. Poof!! No sorry we screwed up and lied, nothing. So they have floated my money for two months, and I paid for shipping for nothing. I had read that eheat’ support was bad and now I know why.

Our child care program found itself in…

Our child care program found itself in a pickle - with most of our furnaces needing critical repairs during a routine maintenance check. eHeat was an approved unit by our state child care licensing entity and state fire Marshall. I called and talked with Davon, who helped me place a very large order and rush the delivery. The units arrived on time and were installed (easily) - warming our center/classrooms within 24 hours to be able to open. The fire Marshall was also very impressed with the quality and safety during inspection. We are choosing to leave the units installed in case of the need for supplemental heat. We are very satisfied and would recommend this product and company.

The Envi heater is amazing!

The Envi heater is an amazing product. Very simple to install, operate and the customer service is outstanding. We recently did a laundry and mudroom addition, about 200 square feet, where getting our existing hydronic baseboard heating into was not an option. After doing a lot of research on electric heating options I choose the 120v Envi hardwired unit and it is outstanding. Produces more heat than we need and is super quiet and does not take up really any space on the wall. Super easy to install and looks really nice as well. The one thing I would recommend is getting a thermostat. There is one on the unit but it simply controls the heaters output meaning the unit is on all the time. With the thermostat you can set the heaters output and then have it only come on when needed. This is a really great product, very happy!

Smart Envi - Good Idea but not so good execution

Purchased a total of 3 smart Envi Heater. The heating element, packaging and customer service are great. The Wi-Fi of the heaters constantly loses connection and takes the smart functionality almost out of this heater. The first heater I purchased had to be returned because it would lose connection. When the heater loses connection you are unable to set the heat, monitor room temp etc. I have purchased 3 over a 2 month period and all of them have the same issue. Now the next issue which are the thermostats. I have two of these heaters in one room on separate walls. One thermostat reads 2 degrees below and thermostat reads 2 degrees above the actual room temperature. So you have to “fiddle” with the setting to find a comfortable actual temperature. The heater is relatively nice in appearance and each 500watt heater will actually heat about 150sq ft. These units are more expensive than competitors due to the “smart” capability. However these heaters have inaccurate thermostats and the smart capability needs work or better components. I would not purchase immediately and give these guys a year or two to work out the bugs and get better components installed. When you do have an issue and you will, customer service does respond quickly. Solid 3 stars…good but far from perfect.

Update on 11-19-23. Submitted a review on the Eheat site but it has conveniently not been published. The company also asked for “more information” about this purchase if I didn’t submit personal information, the review here may be removed. So eHeat actively doesn’t publish reviews and challenges reviews when they can. To their credit the CEO did call and said all the issues were with their firmware. After multiple unplugs, etc, the issues still remain. I have the same issues with 3 of 4 heaters over a 3 month period. I have therefor revised my rating downward to 2 stars.

Lousy and Unfair Customer Returns Process!

Lousy customer returns process. The on/off button on our newly purchased Envi heater remained depressed and permanently stuck in the ON position. I contacted eHeat using their web form to no avail, so I finally called. The rep wanted me to return the heater before they would send a replacement. When I protested that this would mean our room woutd be heat-less until we rec'd a replacement heater - because of a FLAW IN THE PRODUCT, he offered to ship the replacement after we showed proof of mailing the malfunctioning product. That still means days of being heat-less (in the TV room where we installed the Envi) until we receive the replacement. That seems really UNFAIR for something that isn't our fault but the result of a MALFUNCTION IN THE ENVI PRODUCT.
