Just DON’T.

A very prolonged installation.
A very rushed description by the installers after admitting a mistake. The installation took from 8 am to 6.30pm. This involved one having to leave the premises to source missing connections etc, a two hour round trip.
The system now DOES NOT WORK.. IT discharges by about 9.00 pm. Making it impossible to charge a vehicle from the battery.
The company is nearly impossible to contact via phone, the number is practically hidden on their site, one has to Google search for a 1300 number!
Still trying to contact the company
The bollards haven’t been installed, still waiting to see if they will be installed..legally required and paid for..

Few errors - no assistance on repairs

The installation team and initial staff were helpful and professional, and the setup went smoothly at first. However, several problems have emerged:
- The battery has shut off unexpectedly twice despite no local power outages.
- I contacted the hotline two weeks ago and still awaiting a response.
- The battery was never connected to the hot water system, so we continue to pay for water heating that should have been covered.
- We were told we would receive grid credits immediately, but the contractor needed to submit an EWR, which takes a few weeks. As a result, we have lost five weeks of energy credits and absorbed the cost of the hot water
- I was told to go online to raise a ticket rather than the support number provided.
Overall, while the initial installation was positive, the lack of timely technical support and slow administrative follow‑up has been frustrating. I expect Ehomes to address these issues promptly and improve their post‑installation customer service.

ordered a 8.36kw system with 27kw battery.. they delayed install long after promised date because i did not have a picture of some meter in my power box. finally got an install date that far surpassed original promised date, however they made up for it by increasing my battery, however, i ordered a 8.36kw system and only got a 5kw system.... i have left service requests, voice mails, and sms's to get information on what's going on, finally today i got through and the representative told me they are to busy to deal with these requests.... i just finished paying them $13,000 for this system, and being told they are to busy to deal with this request really has pissed me off...

Great communication and follow through

Communication with eHomes was excellent. Adrian Ruiz was helpful, effective and very timely in his responses. The information he gave was very useful and clear. The installers, Kane and Finn, were professional and accessible. The team manager gave clear information about the installation process which was then carried through. The battery was installed within 3 weeks of initial contact.

Biggest mistr

Happily took my deposit for add on battery after telling them what one I already had. Took nearly 4 months to contact me, changing the installation date multiple times. Found out battery wasn’t compatible with what I had.
Told me I could replace my “old” 14 moth old system, or get refund. Asked for refund. Called around Christmas to ask about it, they NEVER answered, only call back. Got told there was only a skeleton staff over Christmas but would get on it soon, called over a week ago and still heard nothing

Purchased a solar battery with Ehomes in October with installation in November. The service was exceptional from start to finish. I was enquiring about a Solar battery and spoke with Kris, he had a great way of explaining the rebate and what my options could be – but also explained the way the battery & system actually worked, so I could make an informed final decision. The service I received from first phone call to installation was extremely friendly and professional, no question too hard. Also the installer Henry was amazing - friendly & polite during the whole installation process & cleaned up after himself leaving the area spotless.

*Addendum after company reply to original review, see original review below*
In response to the company reply.
My behavior was not abusive. I was angry, due to being woken from sleep early, when I suffer from PTSD and insomnia, and I had been told the install would be in the afternoon. I never swore directly at, or abused anyone, and did in fact apologise for raising my voice to David, because I was going to have to go out to get an extra 750$ cash to pay the installers to put in the blackout protection. I was indeed a bit short with the installers at first, certainly not abusive though, and after I settled down it was all good. David did indeed threaten to tell the installers to leave, which was in fact a breach of the contractual terms. He did indeed threaten to turn off the system if I did not pay the balance, and claiming he did not is an out and out lie. His behavior was in fact grossly unprofessional and ego driven. All I wanted was an acknowledgement that his behavior and threats were unacceptable, when I had already apologised, for simply raising my voice, not swearing or being abusive as they claim. I did reach out to them by sending a lengthy email detailing my grievance, which was completely ignored. They did not reach out to me at all to attempt any kind of conciliation, just, pay up or else. Yet the reply to my initial review paints me black as the ace of spades, and also accuses me of lying, when the company response was actually the one full of fabrications. Very bad experience all around, do not deal with this dishonest, ego driven company.

David, we’re not going to go back and forth on this. We stand by the accuracy of our original response.

We work with hundreds of customers every year, and none have an issue getting out of bed for an installation that ultimately saves them thousands over the life of the system. Your experience on the day was unique to you, and we handled the situation based on the behaviour presented to our team — not on hindsight or reinterpretation.

Your system was installed correctly, is operating properly, and delivers the savings you signed up for. At this point, there’s nothing further to resolve.

We wish you all the best moving forward.

I had a very disappointing experience with this solar panel and battery company. Communication was slow and unprofessional, and I constantly felt like I was chasing them for updates. They made several promises about timelines and follow-ups that were never met, which ended up wasting a lot of my time. I expected a smoother and more reliable process, especially for something as important as home energy. I can’t recommend them based on my experience.

Dane, we understand why you felt frustrated, and we appreciate you sharing your experience.

The last few months have been extremely busy across the entire industry due to the government rebate surge, and communication timelines have been stretched for many customers. That doesn’t make your experience any less valid — when someone invests in a solar and battery system, they deserve clear updates and a smooth process. You should not have felt like you were chasing information.

While the final system was delivered and installed correctly, it’s clear we could have communicated better along the way, and we take that on board. We’re working hard to strengthen our processes so customers get quicker updates and a more predictable experience, even during peak demand periods.

If you’d like to discuss any part of your installation or need further support, we’re here to help.

We take every review seriously — but this one is not genuine.

You have never been a customer of eHomes Australia, and we have never completed any work for you. This review appears to come from a competing business, and it’s not the first time we’ve seen this pattern. It’s disappointing, and it’s not an honest or lawful business practice.

Very unprofessional senior management

Install was ok, and seems to be working so far. However, when the installers checked the existing system, there was no blackout protection as I thought there was, and it needed to be put in as an extra. The person I spoke to on the phone was unprofessional, accusing me of 'changing things at the eleventh hour' and threatened to tell the installers to leave, because I raised my voice at him due to the extra costs involved, for which I apologised for. His threat was a breach of the signed contract, which did not allow cancellation due to that circumstance, but he seemed perfectly happy to break the law because of a bruised ego. I requested via email an acknowledgement that his behavior was unprofessional, or would delay payment, if none was forthcoming, for 30 days. After 14 days, I received another threatening call from the same senior manager, saying pay at once or we turn the system off. Again, extreme ego, arrogance, and no acceptance of any wrongdoing at all. A very unpleasant experience overall, and I no not recommend this company.

David, we’re going to address this clearly for anyone reading.

Your installation was completed correctly, and your system is operating as it should. The issue you’ve described wasn’t about workmanship — it was about adding blackout protection, which is an optional extra that requires additional wiring. It is not included in the base package and has never been advertised as such. This was explained to you by both the sales team and the installers.

When you were informed of the additional cost required for the blackout-protection upgrade, you became verbally aggressive toward the senior manager and the installation team. The manager did not “threaten” you — he simply made it clear that if abuse continued, the installers would leave the site. No threats to breach contract were made, and the installation proceeded exactly as agreed.

Regarding payment:
Your final invoice was overdue. The follow-up communication you’re referring to was a standard reminder that payment was required. No one threatened to “turn the system off.” That is not a practice we have ever engaged in.

Despite the behaviour directed at our staff, we still completed your installation in full, delivered a functioning system, and handed over the job to a standard we stand behind.

We accept constructive criticism, but we will not accept false claims about threats, illegal conduct, or ego-driven behaviour. It’s important for future customers reading this to understand that the facts of the situation do not match the allegations made in this review.

If you would like to discuss the matter calmly and directly, our door is open.

Totally dissatisfied, battery installed incorrectly resulting in 300% increase in electricity usage, called a couple of weeks after install with concerns battery wasn’t working as intended but assured everything was ok, ended up with $1200 bill instead of normal $300 without battery , E Homes refusing compensation don’t trust them

I had a bad experience with ehomes

I had a bad experience with my solar battery installation with ehomes. I was given false information before signing up. I was told that I would no longer need my solar inverter and could sell it, but when their contractor came to install after waiting way too long for my installation, he said no, that would void my panels warranty....Their facebook ad states that my home would be "blackout proofed" ... not so, this is a blatant lie, their contractor electrician said this is not so, but that if I buy him a "box of beer" he would blackout proof 2 circuits....So another $50 ....Their contractor, Henry, made some mistakes with the installation and had to come back twice to fix things, he had connected the wrong wires at the meterbox....causing my electricity use to double....then he dropped his phone in wall cavity and offered a "free power point" to retrieve it....then one of my lights no longer works, it was fine before he came...it now blows the bulb every time the bulb is inserted. I have asked him to come and fix this, but he has fobbed me off and I did contact ehomes asking for this to be fixed and the installation checked as after the comedy of errors from their contractor, I don't feel very safe. I have not heard back after a couple of weeks so I have to get my own electrician to come and check to make sure my electricity is safe and won't burn my house down and to fix the light that keeps blowing. So NO, I don't recommend this company, it has been a nightmare for me.

Florence, we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, and we want to clarify a few important points for anyone reading so they have the full picture.

First — regarding blackout protection.
We do advertise that homes can be blackout-proofed with our battery systems, and this is correct. However, blackout protection is not included in the base package because it requires additional wiring and switchboard work. This is explained clearly during the sales process and is not a false claim. Customers who choose to add this option receive it, and many do. It is never positioned as something automatically included.

Second — regarding the electrician and the installation issues.
We understand this part of the experience was frustrating for you, and we acknowledge it. Mistakes can happen in any trade, and when they do, our responsibility is to fix them — which is exactly what we arranged. The electrician returned to the property to correct the issues, and we acted quickly once notified. While the experience wasn’t smooth, the situation was resolved and the system was left fully functional.

Third — about the system itself.
Your battery is working, it is saving you money, and the installation was completed to a standard we stand behind. We don’t walk away from jobs unfinished, and we didn’t in your case.

We respect that you wouldn’t recommend us based on your experience, but it’s important to note that the final product you received is operating correctly, delivering benefits, and supported by our warranty and ongoing service.

Ghulam, we’re going to keep this straightforward and transparent for anyone reading.

You were not refused a refund — you were given a full refund after we worked with you professionally to reach a fair outcome. As part of that agreement, you committed to removing this review once the matter was resolved.

You chose not to uphold that agreement.

It’s disappointing, but it’s important that others see the full picture:
We refund customers when there are reasonable grounds, and we resolve issues the right way. That’s exactly what happened here.

We’re not scammers. We don’t “tack deposits.” We simply expect the same honesty and fairness from customers that we deliver in return.

If you’d like to close this out properly, we’re always open to a direct conversation.
