Much improvement

Eir customer service has improved immensely in my experience with prompt telephone answering and plesent helpful staff. I recently switched my TV service from Sky and although there are not as many channels the service overall is good and a lot cheaper then Sky plus Amazon prime is a free bonus.

I was looking for to remove the cables…

I was looking for to remove the cables from my property and they came but didn't do what I was requesting. I have to go back again to them and one of the agent name mareid was so arrogant and shouting to me on the phone. I couldn't even say something. She sent me straight away the form to filled out . They will come back only if I will pay 544 euros. It is degrease. I can't wait to my contract will expire because they said to charging extra 100 euros. It is a shame. Very very bad.

If i could give Eir no stars I would

If i could give Eir no stars I would. A bunch of cowboys would be putting it mildly. A sales person, and that's being generous, called to my elderly father and mothers house. Convinced my father who is over 80 that he should sign up to eir and he would get a much better deal. Told him he would look after everything switching him over from his current provider and told him that everything would run smoothly. Then a couple of months go by we cannot contact our dad...only through WhatsApp..when we checked they hadn't switched him over. He ended up paying two mobile bills for 3 months while we tried to get it sorted. Phone number from eir never worked and we ended up having to cancel the contract with them...just got the shrug of shoulders no apology. These days we are warning old people beware of scammers. This company is one of the biggest scammers. Avoid at all cost

Never in my life experienced such poor customer experience

I recently purchased a brand new iPhone 17 Pro from Eir, and within a week it started experiencing clear manufacturing issues — shutting off and restarting every two minutes. The phone was completely unusable. Despite this, Eir refused to issue a refund or replacement, even though the device was only a week old.

I have already contacted the CCPC about the situation, yet Eir still insisted that I send the phone away for repair. Now I’ll be without my new iPhone over Christmas, with a repair timeline of up to a month. They also refused to offer a temporary phone during the repair period.

To make matters worse, my old backup phone only accepts a physical SIM, but Eir told me they “can’t issue one due to an issue with my account.” So I’m left paying for a billpay plan I cannot use, with no functioning phone provided by the network I’m paying for.

I’ve honestly never experienced such poor customer service or such a dismissive approach to consumer rights. I majorly regret going with Eir, and I strongly advise others to think twice before signing up.

Ablutely awful broadband

Ablutely awful broadband, every 1-2 months you have to call them to fix it, otherwise it will constantly break and loose connection. On top of it, their speeds are 100% lies. Originally was creating a contract for fibre (1gbit), month after they tell me I can't get it even though I was told otherwise on creating the contract, ended up with 100mbit paying the exact same amount as I would 1gbit??? After that, nothing but issues, constantly. Can't go full 2 months without it starting to loose connection few times a day. Lost more money in the past few months because of their connection than what I pay for the broadband in a full year. Disgusting.

No stars for Eir

If there were no stars I would give it to Eir. Inefficient accounts...mistake after mistake. Long waits on calls to be told repeatedly the issues sorted. Then another inaccurate bill. Truly awful .

3 month wait!

Ordered broadband in august as nbi brought it into the area. Order kept cancelling and customer service kept reordering, this happened multiple times, they claimed it was because of a new system that they would have to put me on it, new sim cards for phones ect. In December it finally got installed, when I called to tell them the line has been fitted "we have no record of that instilation on file"!! I have the equipment installed, the engineer tested the line and said theres internet feeding to the house, as soon as i rang eir to tell them that it was now installed they cut off the Internet. Now heading into the second week of December I rang customer care and they said they cant do anything about it, to call back on Monday and try again. So its just a big revolving door of nothing actually being done or sorted, so now I have a router in the house that might aswell be a paper weight. Worst customer service experience I have ever had.

I have been with eir mobile network for last 2 years and it is great, today I moved to a new apartment and ordered broadband with them, they gave me urgent basis installation and the engineer who came to install and did lot of work inside and outside the apartment, I am really grateful to him. I am with 500 mbpps tarrif and it is giving me 475 mbpps and it is a 2 bedroom 62 meter square apartment, and doing great, but Let see how it goes over the time, I am writing this review just after one day of taking broadband connection. I am in the collonney area, Sligo, Ireland.

He was so nice and professional, thanks very much John ☺️

Absolutely the worst service I’ve ever…

Absolutely the worst service I’ve ever dealt with. I’ve been waiting since November to get my Wi-Fi installed, and it has been nothing but incompetence from start to finish.

Eir’s employees couldn’t even update my contact phone number, and because of that, I missed my installation appointment on December 3rd. I called again to fix the number and was given a new appointment for December 10th — only to call today and be told that my phone number STILL wasn’t updated.

Now the only appointment they can offer is December 19th.
This is beyond unacceptable. Weeks of delays, zero accountability, and the simplest task — updating a phone number — seems impossible for them. Honestly the worst service experience I’ve ever had.

I am very glad to have finally left Eir. A really awful experience between unethically charging structures and price increases and the customer service. I can see that there are many poor experiences and Eir should probably take a look!

If there was an Olympic sport for terrible customer service, EIR would take home gold every time !!!

If there were an Olympic sport for terrible customer service, this company would take home gold every time. My bill randomly shot up by €51, so naturally I rang to ask why. Big mistake.
Their robotic receptionist service apparently has the memory of a goldfish and the attitude of a bouncer. It refused my account number and landline over and over, then basically told me to jog on and “call again when you have the right details.”
The plot twist? Two minutes later those same “wrong” details worked perfectly… but only when it came to taking my money. Funny how the system suddenly becomes a genius when there’s a payment involved.
Honestly, dealing with this company feels like arguing with a toaster—pointless and mildly infuriating. I’m officially shopping for a new broadband provider because life’s too short for this nonsense. PS . Dear Trustpilot....why cant you have a ZERO star option !!!!

Absolutely frustrating

Absolutely frustrating. They get you to sign a contract and then you are in for an absolute awful experience just because you signed on a list of terms and conditions. Their systems are all outdated, they take upto 2 months to get a new eir code into their systems, without which they will not let you get the fibre wifi installed even though the fibre already runs through my estate, how crazy is this. In the middle of a town, their signal strength craps out so I cant use the portable wifi which I currently have. On top of this when I said let me cancel the contract and move on because its not my fault that your system is slow and takes a million years to update in this day and age the customer service guy just said you cant walk away from a contract you signed penalty free even if you are unhappy with our service. So basically, eir is absolutely incompetent. I have no idea what i will do because i have to make the move soon and apparently eir is too pricey to offer a resolution or even bear the brunt because of their own terrible infrastructure. I will see if there is a way to sue them. Whoever reads this, stay away from eir for own mental sanity.

As a customer they've been OK, but the days of paying for dedicated broadband are numbered

I have no complaints on the service from the company, but like many they price hike each April - which is not consumer friendly. The main problem is, that the price for broadband is completely out of touch with what is going on with mobile 4G and 5G. Due to cable issues, I used a 5G service, but it's over 40 euro a month, v under 13 euro for a company like 48 with unlimited 5G date, it's very simple to hotspot or connect to a computer/device/tv via your phone and well you don't really need this anymore!

Concept was fine when we had limited data speeds on phones, yet having to pay more for broadband then it's worth (if it were half the price it might have some legs). For those who still need a box, you can get a sim free one and PAYG sim and set that up, just top up each month. I'm now saving around 500 euro a year by dropping this service.
