It's not super simple, to me anyway but those are clearly a professional services. I've had issues, and the AI agent was able to move around the site with me. Then I came up with very specific requirements that couldn't be resolved. I requested a human who was very nice and very helpful. Eleven Labs are not a gimmick they are literally pros.

Uses stolen works to create AI slop. Absolutely disgusting company.

I used Elevenlabs to translate video from English to French for our online platform and so impressed by the quality of the work, it even keeps the voice. I also had an issue with my account and the customer service was amazing, they help me resolve the issue really quickly. Highly recommend it!

Support responded right away to let me know that my payment method had been changed and my balance was up to date.

Lame. Slow and restrictive Pay-walled functions ( 90% ) for non-membership right upfront. Disbanded.

This company advertise that i can upload my book, record my voice and download the file ready for an audible. NOT SO. My voice only read the heading, then another voice took over even though i set my voice as a default. It then would only do one paragragh at a time. The AI kept apologising that it couldnt do it and when i gave it neg feedback it says it couldnt work. lol

You pay for the credits — then lose them the moment you cancel

ElevenLabs sells a subscription where credits are effectively the product you're
paying for. They even roll over from month to month — which means ElevenLabs itself
treats those credits as retaining value beyond the billing cycle they were earned in.

But the second you cancel, every unused credit you've already paid for is wiped — both
the current month's allocation AND everything that rolled over. You keep paying, they
keep the money, and the prepaid service you never used simply vanishes.

When I raised this as a basic fairness and contract issue and asked for one of two
reasonable options — a short grace period to use up the credits I'd already paid for,
or a refund of their value — the answer was no to both. The only "solution" offered was
to refund my subscription payment, but only if I let them cancel my plan immediately.
So the choice was: lose the credits, or lose the credits faster.

On top of that, every single reply came from an AI bot — each one literally stamped
"This response was generated by AI, not a human." When I pointed to consumer-protection
concerns, I was just told to "consult legal counsel." No human, no real engagement, no
willingness to reach a fair outcome.

The voice tech itself is good. But the billing model is built so the company keeps both
your money and your prepaid credits when you leave — and there's no human on the other
end to talk to about it. Know exactly what you're signing up for before you commit.

I’ve been really impressed by ElevenLabs. The audio quality is excellent, the platform is easy to use, and it gives a lot of creative freedom. What I like most is that it can support both simple projects and more experimental ones, depending on how you guide it. It feels fast, flexible, and genuinely useful in real workflows, not just as a demo tool. For anyone working with voice, narration, or creative audio, it offers a lot of value and interesting possibilities.

Very helpful when I had an issue with their AI giving wrong instructions. They fixed the AI assistant issue and refunded my credits and more.

30 minutes into my subscription and have cancelled already. Repeatedly selected a voice but the one generated is not the one I selected. Burning through credits in a sense. I also am finding it hard to get to speak with a human.

There are plenty of voices, but 80% of them can't be used. They are either distorted, reverberance, or badly recorded. Probably people recorded that at home with cheap gear and uploaded that to their voices databank. The entonation is excellent, but is difficult to find a voice that sounds good. I ended up using several sites at the same time

As a company that provides AI voice solutions to enterprise customers, we have been using ElevenLabs as our text-to-speech provider.

We recently experienced a situation that has seriously affected our trust in the company. One of our enterprise customers informed us that the ElevenLabs sales team contacted them directly offering essentially the same solution that we provide. More concerning, they referenced the exact same call volumes that the customer currently has with our platform. From our perspective, this raises serious concerns about whether confidential business information shared through our commercial relationship may have been used for ElevenLabs’ own sales efforts.

If this information was obtained through our use of the platform or our business relationship, we believe this would represent a significant breach of trust and potentially of confidentiality obligations.

We hope ElevenLabs will clarify how its sales teams obtain customer usage information and what safeguards are in place to ensure that partners’ confidential data is never used for competitive purposes. Until we receive a satisfactory explanation, this experience has significantly damaged our confidence in continuing to work with them. We will be also checking this issue with our legal team.

definitely one of my favorite companies in the AI space - i love and use their product for a couple of years now - innovative solutions and their support is lightening fast responding when i run into issues. Keep up the great work!

This company is a ripoff. They have now put 2 charges on my credit card. I cancelled my account before I should have been billed No customer service. AI answers the phone

I lost 149.509 credits by a mistake by wrong KI advice. I wrote two emails to the support team bur received no answer since 8 resp. 4 days. Ticket #641941
PS: Support answered now and gave me these lost credits back. So it seems that's a good possibility to trigger the support by a review on Trustpilot ;-)

It would have cost me $22 just to process a six minute video and translate Chinese to English That's it Nothing else$22 What a rip off and no money back on your subscription once you sign up they refuse to give your money back so honestly they can go **** themselves

We had a pretty frustrating experience. The service turned out to be much more expensive than we expected, and unfortunately, the team often seemed unsure about how their own pricing worked. We were given information that later turned out to be incomplete or inaccurate, which affected some important decisions on our side.

We spent almost 3 months integrating and setting up our call center automation, only to scrap the entire project within 2 months after seeing the actual bills. It was disappointing because we had invested a lot of time and effort into getting everything up and running. Overall, the experience ended up costing us both time and money, and I wish there had been much more transparency around pricing from the start.

Songs were good but i wasn't even able to download one without having to pay! So not great.

Downloaded because my voice was dodgy and I needed to record a voice message. Logged out of the app every 2 minutes. My own voice sounded very robotic reading the scripts. I edited the voice. And worked on but when used in scripts changed to USA accent then UK accent. Then all voices disappeared from my library.
8 hours I spent!! No result just frustration.
